Author has written 22 stories for Lord of the Rings, Inheritance Cycle, Silmarillion, and Harry Potter. Hi! I am clumsy with technology and take a long time to acquaint myself with a web site, so it was no surprise to me - although it made me very sad - that I needed a fairly big amount of time to even find how things work here. One of the reasons is that I am sight-impaired, thus I need the aid of a screen reader, and that software cannot read everything and from the things it does read, not many that are in their proper places as seen by eyes. I am not a native speaker of English and have only learnt English extensively for about 2 years, so please forgive me if I bemuse you, sound too formal, or overall mistaken about things. I have exercised in reading and writing English in another web site, Shur'tugal Fan Fiction (SFF), a fan site for the Inheritance Cycle series, but it turns out that I yet need more and more practice... As suggested by the choice of website, you are right if you guess that I like the Inheritance Cycle (Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr and the still-unpublished Book 4). However, when I am in FFN (LOL my way of saying FanFiction.Net), I tend to read-review Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Hobbit and Silmarillion fan fictions more than Inheritance Cycle, as I already have many materials from the Inheritance Cycle fan fictions from that other site. (No offence to FFN lovers - I love FFN too!) Speaking of read-reviewing, yes, I love getting reviews for my stories (especially with good criticism in it and suggestions), but I love to review others' stories too, and my first action in this site was read-reviewing. LOL If you notice that I have many favourites... Well, let's say making a story my favourite was more a means of tracking it than anything else. Don't be quick to be offended! I am not finished yet! LOL Getting your stories favourited by me means that I would like to track your stories and you will get reviews from me for the updates you post here, and that is a sign that your stories are judged to be good by me, a picky reader and nitpicky reviewer. :) Now the choices are more limited, though, since I have just known that we can only have certain number of favourites here... Meh. If there are any of you who want to know me more in person, then here I am: Name: Rey (my nickname; I do not like my first name and middle one, although I do like my sirname) Birth date: October 15, 1987 Status: Undergraduate student, majoring education and minoring English Gender: female Favourite drinks: chocolate, Coca-Cola, cold water Favourite food: fried potatoes, corn soup, corn cheese, steamed peanuts Favourite colours: baby blue, reddish purple, army green, shades of grey, neon colours Hobbies: (many, actually, but here are the most) Hiking, forest traversing, swimming, diving, reading, writing, daydreaming, thinking, making and maintaining friends, giving and getting reviews, travelling Favourite books: the Five Famous, the Cronicals of Narnia (particularly the Horse and His Boy, Prince Caspian, the Adventure of Dawn Treader, and the Last Battle), the Silmarillion, the Hobbit, the Lord of the Rings series (particularly the Fellowship of the Ring), the Harry Potter series (particularly the Prisoner of Azkaban), the Inheritance Cycle series (particularly Eragon), the Spiderwick series, the Alchemist (by Paulo Cuelho) Favourite films: Delta Force (all), Prince Caspian, Laskar Pelangi (an Indonesian film adapted from a novel), the Lord of the Rings (all), Eragon (although it is a piece of crap, if looked closer) Desires: travelling to different places, as remote as possible, in my own country and to UK, being a successful author, completing all my works (LOL), being a translator (Indonesian-English, English-Indonesian) Favourite characters: From the Inheritance Cycle: Murtagh, Eragon the First, Oromis, Saphira, Evandar, Rhunon, Gilderien the Wise From the Lord of the Rings: Gandalf, Frodo, Sam, Glorfindel, the peredhil twins, Erestor, Faramir, Legolas From the Hobbit: Bilbo, Gandalf, Thranduil, the Elves welcoming the company to Rivendell From the Silmarillion: Ulmo, Ossë, Uinen, Glorfindel, Míriel, Eru, Námo, Maedhros, Maglor, Fëanor, Nerdanel, Tuor, Arafinwë (Finarfin), Finrod, Eönwë, Olórin, the Ainur (Valar and Maiar) in general) From the Cronicals of Narnia: Aslan, Lucy, Caspian, Reepicheep From Harry Potter: Harry, Ginny, Sirius, Lily, Severus, Neville, Agusta, Minerva, Aberforth, Arthur From my own original ones: Dila, Ana, Liunwë (Some of the characters in the lists are not usual, right? Your stories are going to stay long in my mind (and perhaps favourited here) if there are those unusual characters in them.) Favourite themes: From Tolkien's works: spiritual, adventure, friendship, modern people finding the remnence of Middle Earth, about the Valar and Maiar From the Harry Potter series: Harry getting to live with someone other than the Dursleys, Harry in relation to the British Royal Family (Many of my favourite stories have those themes in them.) Oh yeah, I am an Indonesian - if any of you know where it is... (If you do and do it rather well, I have a treat for you: reviews! LOL) LOL I seem to be bribing all along... Well, do not be offended, please; I mean it humorously. Greetings! Salam! Rey | |||||||||||
