Author has written 2 stories for Twilight.

simultaneously twihard and lolfan (if the second makes no sense, take a visit to google with the terms 'cleolinda twilight glossary')

(I also recently came across the term 'wussperv' and the definition certainly fits me more than it doesn't... )

I see myself as more of an aspiring beta than an aspiring author.

I can get a little cranky about grammar. And character consistency. (I'm not pompous, I'm pedantic. Let me explain the difference...)

(That doesn't mean I won't occasionally dump capitalization and punctuation if I'm just posting a rant somewhere... and if I'm typing from my blackberry who knows what it will decide I meant to type... but I do try to clean up after myself on anything presented for 'publication' and on days when I'm feeling relatively low on patience it can really rub me the wrong way if it seems like someone else didn't make that same effort)

A couple of comments copied from my twilight livejournal regarding my personal preferences in the area of Twilight fanfiction:

First of all I'm heavily E/B obsessed so with anything below consider that a given. Anything that has no mention of E/B has to be dang well presented/promoted to get my attention (alice_laughed's Claire/Quil stories were very good and Jake/Nessie can possibly be interesting depending how it is done) So, given that caveat, in order...

"Missing Moment" stuff that tries for high canonicity, Epov stuff that does a good job of capturing the Midnight Sun feel...

AU stuff where the divergence point is before they get on the plane back from Volterra. For some reason anything that diverges after that point is of little interest to me/needs really good presentation/promotion to get my interest. There just aren't any points after that I find myself much interested in exploring 'what if?'

AU stuff where there is something other than sparkly vampireness going on, but preferably not just some other kind of vampire... they're angels or demigods or mutants or something like that (The more that it's just 'more like usual vampires' the more the presentation/promotion has to kick in)

post-BD stuff that feels true to what has been established so far. (Again, Nessie's a pretty bright kid, the number of authors who try to do the "she doesn't know Jake's imprinted on her and what imprinting is" "she doesn't know what Bella and Jake's relationship used to be like" make me shake my head and sigh)

AU-AH stuff. probably a slight preference for high school age over older only because so many more people write about them being older

Anything else with slick presentation/promotion

Ultimately what it comes down to is that I really just want to spend more time with canon Bella and Edward.

I recognize that for at least 90 percent of the Twilight-inspired fanfiction out there that either is not a goal of the author or it is not a goal the author is able to believably deliver. I still pick and choose through that 90 percent for what I can otherwise enjoy to some extent. But I truly feel no burning need for Bella to be more assertive pre-vampness or more conventionally attractive or more interested in popularity. I feel no burning need for Edward to be less emo or less protective of Bella pre-BD-Volturi confrontation. I mostly want more them, not so much different them.

I share with Alice given names, size, occasional bouts of hyperactivity and the tendency to live more within our visions of what the future may hold (vastly inferior in clarity and accuracy may mine be to hers) than in the present around us.

I share with Bella hair, eyes, temper, physical grace, fashion sense, self-confidence (or lack thereof) and the tendency to be far more comfortable with fiction than with most people.

I only wish I was a good enough person to be able to love as unselfishly as Bella does, to be able to easily forgive those she loves and who truly love her for those moments when they are lacking in discernment and/or capability.

I envy Bella's discipline and her instinct for identifying those who truly love her.

Personal Twi-WoW silliness
