This is a scary box... I don't know what to say! cries Um, yes... I have a wide range of fandom, and while I am a fan of a number of het pairings, I'm particularly partial to slash. The things i read include - Sherlock Holmes, Star Trek (The Original Series), Fruits Basket, Pellinor, Harry Potter (obviously - has something for everyone), Scrubs (yes, I know), Loveless, Doctor Who, Torchwood, some House, Georgette Heyer (what there is of it, at any rate), Tamora Pierce, Diana Wynne Jones (infinitely better than JKR), and (if I'm feeling contemplative) Shakespeare. In most of these fandoms I have SPECIFIC PAIRINGS THAT SHALL NOT BE SEPARATED ON PAIN OF DEATH. However, there are a couple where my favoured pairing shifts slightly - for example, in Harry Potter (not my main fandom focus at the moment), I vary between DM/HP and SS/HP, depending on which I'm on a kick of. While I like romance stories (slash or otherwise), I very much enjoy any really well-written story; at the moment, I'm obsessing over aragonite's spectacular Sword series and Brittany Diamond's 'Analyzation/Commentary...'. I can also appreciate a good parody, and even the odd OC, as long as they are written well (see the Memories series from Yanikei). I would also like to point out that anything that I might produce will never be HALF as good as these authors' work, and you should go and read them instead of this rubbish. And yes, you know it's coming... the random stuff. It's here because I either like it, find it amusing, or think that it is important. If you don't want to read it, skip it. If you support gay marriage and want to show it, paste this into your profile. 1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, liposuction and air conditioning. | |||||
