Hello and welcome to my profile.

I am a fairly recent convert to the manga and anime genre. My first love is Inuyasha, as it started me down the path to this world. The others are Code Geass, Vampire Knight, Her Majesty's Dog, and Bleach. I am in agreement with those that do not like the dubbed versions of the anime--they just don't get the translations down well enough for my satisfaction. I always go back to the subbed version. Sometimes, the English voices are all wrong for a character too. I guess that is the price we have to pay for seeing our manga turned into anime.

I enjoy reading a great deal, and read mostly English literature, autobiographies, humor, and science fiction/fantasy. Some of my favorites and or authors are: Jane Austen and her works (though Pride an Prejudice is my favorite), J.R.R Tolkien, J.K. Rowling (yes, yes Harry Potter), Christopher Paolini, Studs Turkel, David Sedaris (hilarious), CS Lewis (and not just the Chronicles of Narnia), and Bill Watterson (Calvin and Hobbes Rock!) to name a few.

I like to read well thought out stories. Stories with grammatical errors, poor word choice, or spelling errors distract me from the story. Solution: get a good Beta Reader. Really, a good beta reader can not only make you a better writer and a better thinker, they also help you to make your story better. Think--good editor! I have started out reading some stories and have given up after the first two paragraphs (some in one) because I get too distracted or frustrated with the errors. If you care enough about your story, get a beta reader.

I have written stories for years, and writing is one of my personal joys.
