yo folks. name's Desert, as you can see. i write a lot of different things, but modern fiction/fantasy/sci-fi is my preference these days. i don't have many fandoms, but when i do they go here. i've been writing for a while -- six or seven years by now.

one of the things you peeps will realize about me: my activity here is erratic. sometimes i'll disappear for days, weeks or even months. being a college student with a sometimes bitchy workload and a very temperamental Muse doesn't help matters, especially when i have obligations AFK that take priority over the interblag.

as you can see, i'm a lazy-ass and don't capitalize. i do when in character, but otherwise i don't bother.

so i know that i still have no excuse for the lack of updates. i doubt that anyone still reads my shitty writing anyway, but i will continue guilting about it regardless. anyway, i just popped on here to see if the best pigeon dating sim ever existed on here, and to my joy it does. i am so proud, and i may eventually continue venting my BBL feels beyond what i just posted. but for right now, i'm going to try to write more Perspectives and Guidance stuff and maybe a short fic to do with Leon a la RE4.

WIP fics

What If: Weskertine, mostly fluff with smatterings of horror and action and other lovely things. we're into the post-RE5 section; only a few chapters to go.

Upside Down: Wesker/OC. since i've recently become addicted to Mistress Mary D's Biohazard series, Melpomene wants me to write something from first-person POV. pretty much a self-insert. i think this will be a challenge for me, since while my OCs are all similar to me in personality, they're never exactly like me. so i'll try my damndest to make this protagonist as similar to myself as i can. oooh boy.

Duality: Semi-hiatus. Claire/OC. a few months after Chris and Jill get back from Africa, a familiar face shows up at Claire's door - but wait! is it really Wesker? we get a deeper look into the past of everyone's favorite tyrant and find out a few unexpected things.

Guidance: a random tangent because i wanted to explore some interactions between Wesker and the Ashford twins.

Planned fics

Perspectives: title still up for grabs; rewrite for What If. this will be more than the aesthetic revamp i did for My Own Prison: this is going to be a serious overhaul of the sequence of events, mostly concerning the first section.
