Russell T Davies, WTF did you think you were doing?!

Proud Field Marshal/Tactical Officer of the Tiva Rebellion Movement ("They're trying to get rid of us and if you weren't such a clotpole you'd see that!", Fighting Against the Overwhelming Forces of Tiva)

I'm Admin on a Torchwood Role Playing Forum, we don't bite, and we need members, so come along. Alien or human, as long as you apply, we're happy.

Find us at Torchwood N/A

Reilly Lethbridge-McLeod- In My Seat, Captain Who? Face Of Boe?, Looking To The Skies, companion to the Tenth Doctor following Donna Noble's "death", actor, columnist and blogger

Joshua Weatherly- Captain Who? Face Of Boe?, Time Agent under orders not to return to the 51st Century until he finds Captain Jack Harkness

Captain Lee Alex Marcus- Deaths On A Starship, Federation Rescue Ship Commanding Officer, bit of an irritating git most of the time, xenolinguists specialist and member of the Vulcan Culture Reform Research Group

Bit of advertising here.

If You watch NCIS or The Mentalist or Bones, check out Tiva4evaxxx (as her name suggests her NCIS stories are Tiva orientated), also amazing person, for five weeks has been my rock... um, rubber... well, she's been around to despair with, but the "with" stops her being a rock (no, offense, Emily)... so rubber (that's a compliment)

CheerChickx some Sanctuary and NCIS (Tiva headed fic, Ziva orientated), both brilliant.

If you read Harry Potter FadeIntoTheBackground is writing her first fic on FanFiction set in first year. H Granger orientated. Plus has adopted one of Tiva4evaxxx's 6 billion NCIS fics, and from what I've read is doing a rather awesome job on it.

If you watch(ed) The West Wing, CatAmongPidgeons, also has a fic set 7 years after the Santos Admin. began. Two terms of Santos and now Josh is working to get a gay candidate elected. Unfortunately every 10 seconds there is another roadblock in their way. Tay, the writer, promises to have Leo flashbacks on the grounds that it would be wrong to have the West Wing without him. Also NCIS

For Doctor Who, Torchwood, Pirates of the Caribbean and Harry Potter, moonchild94, has a series of stories, OneShots and crack!fics of both variety (which I'd like to mention are blooming fantastic and helped me retain some of my sanity). Check her out, she's good. Mad, but completely awesome

For Torchwood, Doctor Who, Red Dwarf, NCIS, and Merlin, enigma-kar has written some rather brilliant fics for all of them.

So after you've finished R&Ring mine, check them out. ;D

Controversial Issues:
1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, liposuction and air conditioning.
2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.
3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behaviour. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.
5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.
6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.
7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.
8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why there is only one religion.
9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.
10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans...

Re-post this if you believe in legalizing gay marriage

Film Quotes:

9 To 5:

(Violet's fantasy - she's Snow White and Hart is the villain)
Violet: Your coffee, Mr. Hart.
(Hart drinks the coffee, steam comes from his ears, he screams and his head spins around on his neck)
Franklin M. Hart Jr.: I think there was something in that coffee.
Violet: I think you're right.
Franklin M. Hart Jr.: I think it was poison.
Violet: Right again.
Franklin M. Hart Jr.: I think you did it.
Violet: Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
(sticks tongue out)
Franklin M. Hart Jr.: Why?
Violet: Why do you think?
Franklin M. Hart Jr.: Because I'm a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot?
Violet: Bingo.

Some Like It Hot

Joe: (trying to get Jerry to face reality regarding his engagement to Osgood) Jerry, Jerry, will you take my advice? Forget about the whole thing, will ya? Just keep telling yourself: you're a boy, you're a boy.
Jerry: I'm a boy.
Joe: That's the boy.
Jerry: (coming around) I'm a boy. I'm a boy. I wish I were dead. I'm a boy. Boy, oh boy, am I a boy. Now, what am I gonna do about my engagement present?
Joe: What engagement present?
Jerry: Osgood gave me a bracelet.
Joe: (takes it and inspects the stones with Beinstock's glasses) Hey, these are real diamonds!
Jerry: Of course they're real! What do you think? My fiance is a bum?

Jerry: Oh, you don't understand, Osgood! I'm a man.
Osgood: Well, nobody's perfect.

Doctor Who

Third Doctor : Well, I'll tell you something that should be of vital interest to you. That you, Sir, are a NITWIT!

Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart: Nonsense, what you need, Doctor, as Miss Shaw herself so often remarked, is someone to pass you your test tubes, and to tell you how brilliant you are.

Interrogator: You're a spy!
Third Doctor: Am I? Who am I spying for?
Interrogator: I'm asking the questions. I repeat, you're a spy!
Third Doctor: That wasn't a question. That was a statement.
Interrogator: Careful, our friends here don't get much fun.
(Gestures to the thuggish Ogron security guards)
Third Doctor: Poor fellows. Sorry I can't oblige them at the moment, I'm not in the mood for games.

Third Doctor: Jo, it's all quite simple - I am he and he is me!
Jo Grant: And we are all together, coo coo cachoo?
Both Doctors: What?
Jo Grant: It's a song by The Beatles.

(The Doctor and Sarah Jane hear a strange, mechanical roaring sound)
Sarah Jane: That sounded awfully close.
Third Doctor: Some sort of subterranean wind effect, I should think.
Sarah Jane: Who are you kidding?
Third Doctor: Myself, chiefly.

Sarah Jane: Harry, call me 'Old Girl' again and I'll spit in your eye.

Scorby: Okay, start talking.
The Doctor: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart had perfect pitch...
Scorby: referring to corpse What happened to him?
The Doctor: Who, Wolfgang Amadeus...? Oh, him. Oh, he died.

Martha Jones: I battle with textbooks.
Tenth Doctor: I battle with monsters.
Martha Jones: I've tried to save money.
Tenth Doctor: I've tried to save the universe.
Martha Jones: I'm going to be a doctor.
Tenth Doctor: I am the Doctor.
Martha Jones: Well, let's hope this box is big enough for the both of us.

Sarah Jane Smith: I can't believe it's you
(a scream echoes through the building)
Sarah Jane Smith: Okay, now I can.

Sarah: I had NO trouble with space-stuff. I've seen things you wouldn't believe!
Rose: Try me!
Sarah: Mummies!
Rose: I've met ghosts.
Sarah: Robots, lots of robots!
Rose: Slitheen, IN Downing Street!
Sarah: Daleks!
Rose: Met the Emperor.
Sarah: Anti Matter Monsters!
Rose: Gas Mask Zombies!
Sarah: Real life Dinosaurs!
Rose: Real life Werewolf!
Sarah: THE LOCH NESS MONSTER!
Rose: Seriously?

Ninth Doctor: I saw the Fall of Troy! World War Five! I was pushing boxes at the Boston Tea Party! Now I'm gonna die in a dungeon... in Cardiff!

Tenth Doctor: Well... you could do that. Yeah, you could do that. Of course you could! But why? Look at these people, these human beings. Consider their potential! From the day they arrive on the planet, blinking, step into the sun, there is more to see than can ever be seen, more to do than- no, hold on. Sorry, that's The Lion King. But the point still stands: Leave them alone!

Ninth Doctor: Fantastic!
Tenth Doctor: You are Beautiful!
Tenth Doctor: "Allons-y!"
Fourth Doctor: Want a jelly baby?

Torchwood:

PC Andy:If she's Anti-Terrorist, I wouldn't mind being Uncle Terrorist.

Gwen: But those people, last night - the people in the car, who are they? What's Torchwood?
PC Andy: I dunno. Special Ops?
Gwen: Yeah, but what does that mean?
PC Andy:I'll bet you ten quid they're DNA specialists. It's all DNA these days. Like that CSI bollocks. CSI Cardiff, I'd like to see that. They'd be measuring the velocity of a kebab!

Jack: Before we go any further, who the hell orders pizza under the name of "Torchwood"?
Owen: Er, yeah, that would be me. Sorry, I’m a twat.

Gwen: But hold on, if no one can see it when the lift's coming up, there's a great big bloody hole in the floor. Don't people fall in?
Jack: That is so Welsh.
Gwen: What is?
Jack: I show you something fantastic; you find fault.

Jack: All right, usual formation.
Gwen: What's the usual formation?
Owen: Varies.
Gwen: How can the usual formation vary?

Gwen: So what's this supposed to do?
Jack: I'm using satellite tracking data to determine the intra-trajectory of the meteorite.
Tosh: He means he's trying to find out where it's come from.
Jack: Hey! Sometimes a little technobabble is good for the soul!

Gwen: You've been hidden down here too long. Spending so much time with the alien stuff. You've lost what it means to be human.
Jack: So remind us. Tell me what it means to be human in the twenty-first century.

Ianto: It's narrowed the numbers down, I could check through the rest. You know, the old fashioned way. With my eyes.

Owen: I hate the countryside. It's dirty, it's unhygienic. And what is that smell?
Gwen: That would be grass.
Owen: It's disgusting.

Ianto: I have searched for the phrase "I shall walk the Earth and my hunger shall know no bounds," but I keep getting redirected to Weight Watchers!

Ianto: I always loved Tintin. (personal joke)

Ianto: Like a butler! I could be a butler!
Jack: We don't need a butler.
Ianto: Excuse me, dried egg on your collar!
Jack: It was a busy week!

Gwen: I'm going into England. Farewell forever.
Rhys: Do you have currency?
Gwen: Yes, and I've had my injections.

PC Andy Davidson: (on Gwen shooting at them) She shot tyre wheels. How many terrorists do you know, that shoot the wheels?

Personal favourite of my own quotes

"I had a life, but I left it on the TARDIS." (24th June 2009, on being told, "Get a life.")

Some PMs with Emily through MHI Sydrome periods:

Emily: But - she will be soon! Very soon...

C'mon. We survived like 6 weeks. I'm pretty damn proud.

Sure we lost our insanity, and everything. But neither of us is dead yet! It's a huge achievement!

Hannah: We lost our insanity? Jeez, and I was worried about the loss of the last dribbles of what I would have called "sanity at a stretch". Now you tell me, I went so far as to have lost my insanity too.

-breaks down sobbing-

Emily: Sorry! Sorry!

We had mental breakdowns together too, remember? We've been through MHI together...

Our friendship is much stronger now, more than ever before! We are better people, our personalities have been strengthened by the experience, one that we will never forget... :P

And we have to do it all again next year. :P

Hannah: Believe me, I couldn't forget, but what about that episode of "Emily disappearing without notice for two days, in which Hannah almost lost everything and committed suicide, if it weren't for the assistance of fellow ficcers I was going through lone hysterics then.

But... you bring up a fair point.

Next year...

Emily: I'm sorry! When was that? When i lost internet, i nearly lost everything and committed suicide during that period!

Yes, next year...

I have to go, sorry :(

Bye bye. :(

Love you!
