Author has written 12 stories for Immortals, Tamora Pierce, and Harry Potter. 'Loten' is an Old English word, meaning moonlight bright enough to see by. February 15th 2012: Next chapter of Chasing the Sun will be delayed, I've started work in a new job on rather short notice and I seem to have no free time suddenly. More detail in the next update, which should be in the next couple of days, I hope. Favourite fandoms: Harry Potter, Tamora Pierce (Immortals), Trudi Canavan (Black Magician trilogy), Discworld, Wheel of Time. Harry Potter: OTP: Snape/Hermione. The epilogue is just Snape hallucinating because he's poisoned and almost dead. It doesn't really happen. Why yes, most of my ships do seem to involve very clever dark-haired, dark-eyed, black-robed, heroic and slightly sarcastic wizards paired with younger clever women. Strange that, isn't it? What can I say, I know what I like. Random trivia: In Scandinavia, the days are all named for saints; April 30th is St Severus' Day and September 4th is St Hermione's day. This is absolutely awesome. Disclaimer: I accept no responsibility for anything that occurs whilst reading my fics, including but not limited to sleep deprivation, funny looks incurred by involuntary loud noises, tasks not being completed whether academic, social or any other, and general insanity. Keep an eye on the Works In Progress section for updates. Also known as the Attack of the Killer Plotbunnies section. I'm famous on the internet About me: I'm 24, I'm female, I'm a Gemini, I live in south-east England and I graduated from a Welsh university in 2008 with a degree in zoology. I'm long-term unemployed and I'm currently wasting a very expensive education by happily writing fanfiction. Physical description, for anyone who cares: 5'4", long straight dark brown hair, glasses, blue-grey eyes. I have two of the three tattoos I eventually plan to get. I try not to take life too seriously and I'm nowhere near as complicated as I like to think I am. That's about it. Please note: If you leave a review asking me a question, you must leave me a way to contact you, or I can't answer you. That means signing in, or leaving an email address. If you do the latter, you'll have to space it out, because FFN really doesn't like email addresses. I have absolutely no problem with anonymous reviews, but I can't reply to them unless you give me a way to get hold of you, okay? Thanks. You also now need private messaging enabled for me to reply to your reviews. Fanfiction peeves: when authors start a story, manage two or three chapters, then abruptly disappear without explanation or put up an author's note saying that they won't be continuing the story. I will not do that. I will never upload the first chapter of a story unless I have a rough draft of the entire story already completed. I will never upload the first chapter of a story unless I am happy with the rough draft and confident that I can complete it to a standard I am satisfied with. The only things that would ever stop me completing a story are computer issues or real life issues. When uploading a story, I will do my best to update it every few days; once a week at the longest. I know how horrible it is to be left hanging for months waiting for an update. Things I won't read under any circumstances: Firstly, pure crackfics. Trying that hard to be 'random' isn't funny. Secondly, mpreg - no. Just no. I don't have many limits, but that's definitely one of them. I'm not keen on incest, either, really. I also hate Twilight. I'm sorry if you like it, but I really can't stand it. I've read the first two books and could not physically make myself continue. Apart from that, anything goes, although I need a fic to at least be plausible - it doesn't have to be canon, but it needs to make sense and be theoretically possible in that world - before I'll read it. Especially pairings - weird pairings are fine, as long as they're theoretically possible and not out of character for those involved. Things I won't write: I'm sorry to disappoint, but Severus and Hermione will never have children in any of my fics. I've seen it done well, but mostly it's done really badly and OOC, and it doesn't work with my personal versions of the characters. My Severus seriously and truly dislikes children and my Hermione isn't remotely interested in being a mother, and my Severus is too emotionally damaged for it to be a good idea anyway. Hermione understands him and can deal with him, but a child wouldn't be able to. If I can't make it believable in my own head, I know I can't write it. Other authors can and have, and good luck to them, but it's not going to happen in my writing. Completed Works: (I promise, it's a coincidence that almost all my Immortals fics are eleven chapters long...) Teacher: Wild Magic, by Tamora Pierce, rewritten from Numair's perspective. Awarded fourth place in the Knighthood of Ficship Summer 2009 competition. Post Tenebras, Lux: An AU Severus/Hermione fic set after Deathly Hallows. Mostly canon compliant except for one or two details and the Epilogue-That-Must-Not-Be-Acknowledged. After Darkness, Light; a chance meeting ten years after the war may not be a coincidence and may prove to have very far-reaching consequences. A story of many things, but primarily of healing. Crossroads: Harry saw King's Cross when he died, before making his decision about which direction to take. What did Severus see, and what choice did he make while he was there? One-shot.
