About My Fanfictions: Although I have many favorite pairings, I will mostly if not always be writing yaoi or shounen-ai for my most favorite series ever. It is the first in both my favorite anime and manga sections; Death Note. But if I do get an idea for a... I don't know, D.N.Angel story, then I will certainly venture out that way.

In terms of Light and L: It may be biased of me, but the names of these men were put in this order for a reason. I simply cannot see how L would ever be on top in this pairing, for a few reasons:

Reason 1: The only time in the series that Light is not aggressive is when he loses his memory of being Kira, and therefore, that is the only even partially acceptable time when he might be the uke. Even then, it seems unlikely that L would attempt to take control of Light in that way.

Reason 2: On top of Light's OCD and control-freak like demeanor, in most yaoi pairings, the majority of the focus is on the uke. I don't really care for Light, so I don't want the focus of the story to be on him.

Reason 3: In yaoi pairings, the more handsome of the two men is usually the seme, while the more shota of the two men is usually the uke. While I believe that L outranks Light in all categories, including those aforementioned, I also believe that he is far too adorable and fragile to be the seme. Think for a moment to Soubi and Ritsuka, if you will. It seems odd to have a 12-year-old cat boy inserting himself into a twenty-year-old man (who is much sexier than adorable), does it not?

Reason 4: Speaking of that, in most yaoi, pairings, the seme is older than the uke. However, this is not always the case. The pairng Light and L is fine the way it is, because not all pairings follow this trend. Nowaki and Hiroki, for example; in this pairing, the younger of the two is the seme.

Reason 5: No matter how hard I tried, I wouldn't be able to make L the type of character who acts dominantly, or would particularly care about dominance at all. Even if I warped his personality so that he was a completely different and unrecognizable person, the scenario wouldn't work. Let me show you what I mean. Here is how I would picture a "sex" scene if L was the seme.

L: *stares vacantly at the brunette beneath him* You look so helpless, Light-kun.

Light: *scoffs* And you look bored.

L: *sighs* That's because I am.

Light: *infuriated* Then why don't you make a move?

L: I don't have the drive. I wouldn't know how to begin.

Light: What do you mean?

L: This may come as a surprise to you, Light-kun, but I have never been with a man before.

Light: *taunting* And I bet you've never been with a woman, either!

L: Correct. I am your first.

Light: W-what? No, Ryuzaki. You meant to say, "You're my first."

L: That's what I said. I'm your first.

Light: Agh! This isn't working. Why don't you just admit that you're wrong?

L: Because, Light-kun, when the seme says something, it's supposed to sound well-thought-out, insightful, and perhaps even seductive.

Light: But that's the point! Your statement didn't sound like any of those things. You sounded so much more like...

L: An uke?

Light: Yeah.

L: Then I wonder why I'm on top.

Light: It seems to go against what is just and fair.

L: *rolls his eyes* There you go, again, Light-kun. You always think that life has to be fair, and work out in your favor. Life isn't fair, Light. Maybe if you were a little more mature, you would understand that fact.

Light: Oh, please. You sound like my father.

L: I hope you don't want me to say, "Who's your daddy?"

Light: Please don't.

L: I believe this would be much more captivating if you were on top. I'm not very expressive but you, you were born to act. You were able to convince everyone that you were not Kira. Except for me.

Light: *eyes widen*

L: *grins* What'll it be, Yagami?

See? No sex, no penetration, no nothing. Although L did corner Light in the end, that was only because I love him, and he deserves to play with the mind of a murderer, if only a little bit. In the ways described above and displayed in this LXLight attempt, it is not possible for L to be the seme. The "sex" would just become another attempt at unveiling Kira's identity, which would put a damper on the mood. Therefore, the relationship would and could not develop, and the entire scenario would be not only improbable, but also unsuccessful.

But then again, that's only my opinion. And that is why there are multiple pairings out there, for people who have different opinions.

December 4, 2009: First snow(as of yesterday)! As they say in Illinois, we have 4 seasons; winter, more winter, almost winter, and construction. If that didn't get a chuckle, then I'm in the wrong line of work... And HARERUYA, as the Japanese would pronounce it, for I have just read up to Chapter 46 of the amazing CheyanneChika's "Takahiro Finds Out". Other than Mari Kazara and Miss Plague, Cheyanne is my favorite FanFiction.Net author. You may be wondering why I've been reading Junjou Romantica fanfictions instead of working on my own less-than-amazing-always-packed-with-boys Death Nots fics, but I assure you that I am working on it. For every chapter I type up, I write it out before then, and Chapter 6 of "Ten Years Later" is now over 15 pages long... Bye-bye, Birthday-kun... I will be updating again soon, so until then, may Chuck Norris be with you...always. :D

January 13, 2010: It's extremely rare that I would be on FanFiction.Net on consecutive days, but I happen to have a computer in front of me, so one of my first thoughts was, "FANFICTION. NOW." Yeah, so... If I can get back on the computer later, there will be a new, completed story/poem thing up. It all depends...

X3 I will most likely update again in a few days, so there's something to look forward to. I had a great time with my very best friend this weekend. We got together, and things got a little insane. I would like them to stay that way, so I hope with all my might that she does not move away... Also, I know that I've pretty much only updated Junjou ABC's for a while, but I'm working on the other stories. Everything takes time...
