About Me:

I am a thirtysomething 8th grade English teacher who recently became a mom for the first time. I am married to an amazing man who makes me laugh every single day, and he gets all of my geek-tendencies. I play WoW, D&D, quilt, write, read constantly, play with my daughter, and spend entirely too much time worrying about my students. I LOVE football, working on cars, doing electrical work, and baking. My taste in music and movies is just as eclectic as my taste in everything else. I hate tv and avoid it whenever possible, though my daughter has already developed an unhealthy fascination with Spongebob Squarepants from our time at the pediatrician's office :P

I picked up Twilight because a lot of my students were reading it, and it quickly became my latest obsession. I've gone through similar things with Harry Potter, the Wheel of Time series, JV Jones, and too many others to name, so I know that this, too, shall pass, but while it sticks, I am trying my hand at fanfiction.

As far as books go, I love fantasy above all else, but I have a passion for Elizabethan literature, and most of my studies centered on John Donne.

I am unabashedly Team Edward, and he might be the only man who could ever pull me away from my husband. Luckily for him, though, Edward is fictional. Damn it.

About My Writing:

I am completely new to fanfiction, having been introduced in the most unlikely of ways - from the imdb New Moon board and conversations about Wide Awake, which is the first fanfic I ever read. Since then, I've read a ton of Twilight fanfics along with some Cowboy Bebop and various other things. I have written my entire life, though, and am currently in the middle of three novels - one serious, while I'm dabbling with the other two. I am never without a notebook, and I have countless files, scraps of paper, journals, and backs of receipts filled with character concepts, plot outlines, and snippets of chapters along with the more developed things I've done.

I hope to publish some of my creative writing some day, as all my publications thus far have been scholarly work. While that is awesomely fun and I adore research, I really want to produce something new and all mine as well.

I have several stories in mind for Twilight fanfics, and the first of these is "Just One of the Guys," an AH/AU story that I hope others will enjoy as much as I do.

The Lazy, Yet Discerning Ficster - JOotG has been featured in two articles written by AngstGoddess003 for TLYDF - OMJ: Exploring the Jasper Factor and Every Kiss Begins with 'Kay, No More Tongue Dominance', where it won for Best Chaste Kiss :) Both articles are excellent reads if you get a chance!

The Perv Pack's Smut Shack - Such a fantastic site for recommendations, especially on pervy-related things :) Tallulah Remiter and I had a fantastic time during our interview for the site! The Perv Pack also did a Roundtable Recommendation of JOotG! I am so excited!

Twilight All Human Fanfiction Awards - As the name suggests, these awards are to celebrate the All-human Twilight fanfiction out there. JOotG is up for "Best Bella and Edward" and "Most Original Plot" - thank you so much to those who nominated the story, and I would really appreciate all of you stopping by to check out the nominees and vote for your favorites! Voting is open August 1-25 with the winners announced soon afterward.

The Long and Winding Road

Marked

Naelany and I are collaborating on a new story called "Marked," and we are extremely excited about it! It began as a one-shot in the Tattward & Inkella One-shot Contest, but we plan to continue it soon. Please check it out and leave us a review letting us know what you think! It placed fifth overall in the contest, which we were incredibly excited about!

For the Love of Jasper Contest

I am a guest judge along with AngstGoddess003, Legna989, and MsKathy in the For the Love of Jasper Contest hosted by ElleCC and LaViePastiche! This contest seeks out the best Jasper-centric one-shots people can write. One of the many unique things about this contest is that Jaspers from existing fics can be used so long as the entry can stand-alone as a one-shot! Les Femmes Noires Contest

A competition for one-shot stories exploring the dark side of the female characters of Twilight! I am a guest judge in this contest as well, and I am very excited to see what people come up with.
