Author has written 3 stories for Chronicles of Narnia. "Literature, the most seductive, the most deceiving, the most dangerous of all professions." John Morley. UPDATES 11.15.09: Chapters One and Two have finally been revised and edited to my liking, and have already been changed on the site! (Please note that Chapter Two has been re-named as "The Return"). Now, Chapter Three is ready to be written and will be within the next week or so, so look out for an update soon!! (I am very sorry for the wait--3 months! O_o--but I hope to be updating this more frequently now that I have an outline and everything is in order. However, since the holidays are so near, I may have a bit of a rough pick-up with the pacing of updates, or they'll just be a little shorter than you're used to, but I promise that this story will not be abandoned!) On the subject of TFoHH, I'd like to give a humongous thank-you to everyone reading! This is the most popular a story of mine has ever been with so few chapters, and I am incredibly flattered by the amazing reviews, alerts, and favorites. Thank you so much, guys! :D 09.20.09: Okay, a lot of things have been happening on my end in regards to Fire and Ice. First and foremost, I am putting it on hiatus for the time being. I am really sorry for doing this if anybody was expecting--maybe even hoping? I shouldn't flatter myself, though, lol--an update soon. I really was trying very hard to write that next chapter and get it out for all of you, but it got me thinking deep into my story and, as usual, thinking so much in-depth about it got me questioning certain aspects and getting new ideas for ways to change things for the better (hopefully). I have been getting lots of ideas lately with the help of some special friends on FFN and I am really liking the new direction that the story is taking in my head. This time, I'm taking a hiatus on it so that my outline is COMPLETE before I change anything. I feel horrible to just stop everything right in the middle--not really the middle with just five chapters, but you guys know what I mean--on all of my readers like this, and TWICE! I already deleted the original stories, and now I'm stopping it in its tracks again. I'm sorry about this, but I hope that this will be the last time. I'm not sure how long it will be because I want to be very, very thorough so that I don't have to stop like this again. But, like I mentioned, I am liking very much how the new ideas are going (and I surprisingly have popular support for many of them from FFN friends! :D), so hopefully the time it takes for me to work on this will be worth it! Thanks so much for everybody who's been reviewing Fire and Ice so far! I really appreciate all of you and I am sorry to do this, but I truly believe that the story will be better and I hope some of you will stick around to see the new rewrite! ABOUT ME I'm a not-quite-seventeen year-old, your average high school junior with the added oddities of being an incessant bookworm and fan fiction addict. I've been reading and writing fiction for years until I finally got myself an account, started posting my own fan fiction works, and finding all sorts of great stories out there. I've still got a long ways to go with my writing abilities, but I hope to get better as I write more and more. I absolutely love to analyze literature works and anything involved: characters, plots, literacy techniques, etc. I aspire to major in English Literature, Psychology, and/or History in college. My biggie dream in literature would be to someday publish a historical fiction novel. (Or to meet J.K. Rowing and have a large discussion over literature and writing, lol). I have been a Christian since the late years of middle school and could never fathom the future of my life devoid of God or any of my beliefs, which include the fact that I do not support the ideas of incest (romantic pairing between family members) or slash (boy/boy, girl/girl) in fanfiction. Updates to my stories are really sporadic because I never know when I'll have something ready to post until I actually do post it. Sometimes it may take longer than usual and that's just life/work/school taking over or the evils of writer's block keeping me from writing anything worth keeping. Or both. I really enjoy reading fantasy books, namely Harry Potter, which is my ultimate in favorites for a book series. Simply put, I think that JKR is an utter genius for writing it. I started reading it when I was pretty young and I basically grew up with them, falling in love with each and every page. My favorite of the entire series is without doubt the last book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and my favorite characters in the series include Tom Riddle Jr, Draco Malfoy, Severus Snape, Luna Lovegood, Fred Weasley, and James Potter. The ships I support in the HP fandom are mostly Lily/James, Hermione/Draco, and Tom/OC. (I'm surprisingly not too big a fan of canon relationships, other than L/J). I also enjoy the Chronicles of Narnia series, particularly The Horse and His Boy, The Silver Chair, and The Last Battle. Favorite characters of those books include Edmund Pevensie, Lucy Pevensie, Peter Pevensie, Aravis Tarkheena, Eustace Scrubb, Reepicheep the Mouse, and Puddleglum the Marsh-Wiggle. I like Edmund/OC, Peter/OC, Aravis/Cor, and Eustace/Jill. My favorite genres in any book include: fantasy, romance, action/adventure, tragedy, humor, and angst. As writers generally write what they know and like, you'll likely see a lot of the things I've mentioned in my fics. For now, I only have three Narnia fics, but I am loaded with ideas in the HP fandom and hope to write something for it someday soon! Lastly, I'd like to give a huge THANK-YOU to anybody who has read, reviewed, favorited, or alerted any of my stories. I really appreciate it and I hope to continue hearing from you guys, especially for advice on how to better myself because I'm always looking to improve! :) MY STORIES Fire and Ice is about a girl called Julie Rhodes who has been brought from Our World into Narnia to fulfill an incredible destiny that has been instilled in her since birth, and originates centuries before her time. In Fire and Ice, I will explore concepts involving mythology, the deep and dark magic of Narnia, the rich cultures seeded in the series, and test the boundaries of this fandom as I delve into the obliterated world of Charn and script my characters through a journey of disaster and despair, action and adventure, and love and loss. This story is the very first that I have ever done for fan fiction and it was the one that pulled me into fan fiction writing as well as a serious writing attitude. (Beforehand, I had mostly written silly stories involving myself and friends on whacky adventures. Fun, yes, but never publishable! lol). It is a work-in-progress and has been ever since the January of 2009. It is a story that has grown really close to me and that I have been working on for the better part of a year. Currently, updates for this story have completely stopped so that I can concentrate on my plot and give it the attention it deserves. I have already written the full story once, finished a sequel, and got half-way through a third part in the original trilogy before I decided to rewrite the entire thing in the spring/summer of '09. This rewrite was far better, but I am striving for my best. And that is why I have put the story on hiatus for the time being as I draw on all the ideas I can muster to create as detailed an outline as I can, and produce the very best story I can give my audience, and myself. The new ideas flowing in my mind right now are my best yet, and I am drawing on more concepts rooted in the Narnian series than ever before. It is my hope that thoroughly reviewing my plot before I begin writing will pay off in the end and that many of you might read and enjoy this new story. Thank you so much to every single person out there who has read any version of this story! I appreciate the attention and the support very much and hope to see some of you make it to the newest form of Fire and Ice. The Flower of Telmar is my first completed story, and also first in my sequence of stories centered around Jasmine, a girl from Telmar who meets the Pevensies during their adventures in Narnia as depicted in the Prince Caspian film adaptation, and her romance with Edmund Pevensie, my favorite of the canon characters. Principally, I do not enjoy a story based off of a story in the original series, but this story began on a whim that seeded into something that many readers enjoyed, so, of course, I kept it. The support and appreciation that I have received for this story has been overwhelming and I am so grateful to everybody who has read, reviewed, or even favorited this story! The sequel to The Flower of Telmar is The Flower of His Heart, currently an in-progress work. Already I have received a lot of support for this story, and I really cannot express my gratitude well enough. For a story that started out as nothing, I am so very appreciative to all of you who follow me along this dangerous journey of writing. However, despite so much enthusiasm from my readers for this story, I've had a slow start. The reason for this is that I am trying as hard as I can to meet everyones' expectations. I do not want to write something just to have another chapter up. I want to make sure that my plot is good and something that I will enjoy writing, as well as something that I think my readers will enjoy reading. Right now, I am anticipating quite an AU-ish scheme of things. I've decided that if I'm going to base this story off of something that's already been done, I might as well put as much me into it as possible and make it mine, and a lot more fun for me to write! I am thinking through some of my ideas and will hopefully be able to continue writing this story before long. I am sorry that the start is coming along so slowly, but I want to do my best to make this story as good as it can be!
