Author has written 10 stories for Final Fantasy VII, and Bleach. 3/24: It's Ritsu checking in after only two months this time!. TBBU Chapter 31 is off to the beta-readers and I've heard back from one. Once I hear back from the other it'll go up, so hopefully within the next few days! This time I'm also being smart and starting Chapter 32 now so I can get a headstart, since my muse does not want to cooperate lately. Sorry for the wait, everyone. A Side Note:
So please, please don't ask or flat out tell me to add something to my story, at least for the ones like The Bond Between Us. I don't mind if you say "It'd be really cool if such and such happened" because that just shows you have an imagination and are making predictions about the story. I like that a lot, and I love hearing what you think is going to happen. What I don't like is "Please do so and so" or "have more of this person in the story." I know for me and pretty much every other writer out there, that's really annoying and disrespectful. You don't tell an author what to do in their story. I apologize if the story isn't going in the direction that you like or if you don't see more of a character that you like. If that continues, then just stop reading. I love getting reviews, but I don't want someone reading through my story and then griping about it just because they're not seeing what they want. It's not fair to me or the reader. If you find something legitimately wrong with the story, then please let me know. That's criticism and I encourage it. If you think something should happen or a character should be added for a good reason that makes logical sense (i.e, help explain things, clarify something, etc) then that's your opinion as well and I will certainly take note of it. But asking me to put something in one of my stories just because you want to see more of it is not criticism. It's just rude, and it makes you look really impatient. Give the story a chance: the author may get around to doing what you'd like to see or showing more of another character. Patience, people. And if me or another writer does incorporate something into their story later on that you asked about, don't think it's just because YOU asked for it. It's more likely that they were going to get to it eventually and you just weren't being patient enough. Sorry if this offends anyone, but it's something that needs to be addressed. I think (or at least hope) a lot of the people who ask someone to put something in their story don't mean to be disrespectful about it. I just don't think they are aware of just what they're doing. Next time you want to ask a writer to put something into their story, stop and think before you do. | |||||||
