Author has written 1 story for X-Men: The Movie. "Those who are faithful know only the pleasures of love: it is the faithless who know love's tragedies." -Oscar Wilde, Picture of Dorian Gray Hey! :) The name's Lollytron, distant cousin of Megatron (yeah, its true). Haha, the real name is Lily, and I'm from Arizona. I'm still on the fence with whether or not I love it or hate it here. Born in Tucson, live in Sahuarita, which you probably wouldn't be able to find anyways, so don't think of trying to stalk me via Internet or Google Earth. I've only ever visited California, New Mexico and Texas throughout my sixteen years on Earth, in the US, and so my desire to travel needs no explanation. The weather in AZ is bipolar, I swear. The sunsets are lovely, though, I must admit. My hobbies are the usual for a teenage girl. I love to read and write, so I figured this was pretty much a perfect place for me, right? I'm pretty critical, however, and sort of a perfectionist. I'm a grammar, spelling and punctuation Nazi, and I have to have my stories realistic, most of the time, which includes my doing research a lot of the time (usually the best part of the writing process for me, but can sometimes be tedious). I also, strangely enough, love swimming, enough for select few of my friends to label me a "mermaid". I don't mind. I also LOVE to watch movies, listen to music, talk to my friends, dance in my kitchen alone, spend endless days in the city, and sing to my cats. Don't ask; I'm strange and love it. Some things I love consist of: Chocolate, the color purple, cigarettes, Mountain Dew, writing, music, movies, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and guys who can sing. I have a weakness for opera and movie soundtracks, funnily enough, including scores and classical music. Some of my favorite bands also consist of My Chemical Romance, Avenged Sevenfold, and Motley Crue. Strange, isn't it, that a girl who loves Motley Crue and what my dad calls their "filth metal" can love opera and classical music? Yes, my tastes vary very much. I also love Celtic music, like World music, you know? Oh, and let's not forget my love for comic books. Personally, I prefer more DC Universe comics than Marvel, although I do have an affection for X-Men, Thor and Iron Man. I also adore Dark Horse comics; Sugarshock, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Hellboy and The Umbrella Academy are some of my favorites. My favorite characters (at the moment) are probably: The Comedian, Nightwing, Arsenal, Huntress, Black Canary, Oracle, and Troia, although she dies D: And of course, Batman. He will always be a long-standing favorite. I honestly have no idea what I want to do with my life, other than I want to inspire people and make some sort of difference. I've been flirting with the ideas of being an actress, an author, a photographer, a model, and a musician, but you know how it goes with those sorts of things. :) My mom tells me I'd make a good English teacher, because I'm mean, but in the way that makes you want to improve so I'll be nice. Its a thought. The main things I love though, are acting and writing, though the former usually just gets done in my alone, down time when I act out scenes by myself, from in my head. My friends always come to me when they want to know who's in what movie, or what song is from which band. They also think I'm the only one who can look at a serial killer, and see the likeness between certain celebrities. I'm not kidding; Ted Bundy and Hugh Jackman look very much alike, minus Bundy's creepy smile on Jackman's part. For now, however, I'm content to just graduate high school, which I am enrolled in over the Internet. I'm also loosely Wiccan, more commonly referred to as Pagan due to my dabbling in Greek, Egyptian, and Celtic deities. I'm also learning and experimenting with some Buddhist beliefs and Norse deities. I find them fascinating. I'm currently working on one and (possibly) a half novels. We'll see how that goes. :P As far as writing goes, I adore fantasy and original fiction, as well as fan fictions. I like band and movie ones, mostly, sometimes books. I'm thinking of posting some of my work here, but we'll see. ;) Right now, I'm currently going through a phase in which I'm discovering myself and everything around me. Maybe the word 'phase' is used incorrectly; I think this might be a life-long thing. I'm not sure. It is in human nature to be constantly learning though, isn't it? Whatever. :) Anyways, right now, I'm spending a lot of time reading, and I'm going back into time, which I probably should've done beforehand. Right now I'm working on the classics: Picture of Dorian Gray, The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, etc. I think older books are some of the most beautifully written. Mostly, I'm just delving into what I think will make me happy, and make my life worthwhile. Stories: I draw a lot of my inspiration from some of my favorite movies, so there could be quite a few of those. In the past I've mostly written band fics (The Academy Is..., My Chemical Romance, Avenged Sevenfold, etc.) I'm always working on whatever I get inspired by (movies and TV shows lately), but have only posted one. The one I posted is Luceo Non Uro, an X-Men (movie) story about the dangers of a teenage girl's fantasies. Usually only the ones I know I can finish get posted. :) Typically, I like to have a story halfway finished, or near there, before posting another one, so that could be why I only have one story for now, or why there's a lag between updates for 2+ stories. Luceo Non Uro More coming soon, I hope! Feel free to talk to me. :D | |||||||
