Author has written 4 stories for Twilight. I am 25 years old and live with my boyfriend of over 8 years in the chilly state of Minnesota. Guess what? Minnesotans don't all talk the way that movies portray us to- just some of us do ("yeah, sure...ya betcha!"). I have never written anything in my life other than papers for school and inter-office memos at work (that obviously do not require any imagination, just necessary information). Because of my incredible lack of experience, I am VERY nervous about how shitty my writing just actually may be, you know? Flames scare the bejeezus out of me, and rightfully so. Even the word "flame" is terrifying! :) Any questions? PM me and I'll be sure to get right back to you! Being an interior design consultant in MN allots me a decent amount of time on the internet during the day :) I have recently found that it is terribly difficult for me not to swear, because apparently the ability to do so is ingrained in my mind. I apologize if my vulgarity offends you...it's what happens when you are a daughter of a construction worker! Recently I have found that even if I am struggling with writer's block, I am still able to write the craziest things (that are most likely NOT worth reading). Here is a little bit of nonsense that I wrote not too long ago...that is all too true for me. Simple truths that I have learned during my year as a 24-year-old: - It is possible to get so drunk that you misplace your car keys and go almost a week thinking that they are gone forever. That is, until you look through a bag that your bff swore to you that she looked through and successfully locate the lost keys. - If you ever feel the need to employ your brother to watch over your drunken ass, expect him to run and tell your mother all of the crazy shenanigans that you had gotten yourself into the night that he was your personal babysitter. -It is possible to realize that you honestly like someone who you have previously swore you would never ever like, ever. -If you go to a comedy show and sit in the front row, expect to be made fun of. - If you have a random dance party by yourself in the middle of your living room, expect your dogs to look at you like you are f-ing crazy. - If you are drunk and upset at how old you feel (or are, given your current situation), expect at least one random bystander to inform you that you actually look older than you are in real life. - It is TERRIBLY depressing when you are alone and reading on a Friday and you stumble upon the following sentence from the book that you are reading (it was used as an insult thrown at the main character): “Yeah, well your idea of fun is sitting alone and reading on a Friday night!” Cause that’s exactly what I was doing. -If you get a fantastic haircut, expect everyone to love it except your boyfriend. -It is possible to still be crazy in love almost eight years later and not be married (GASP! NOT MARRIED?! AHHH!!). -Passing out while eating is NOT something to be proud of. -Taking drunken baths…although seems like a good idea at the time…is never a good idea. - The older you get, the more stable your friendships become and the more you know who is actually there for you in the long haul. It’s as though time is the great test for friendship…time reveals all intentions. If someone intends on staying your friend, they will through all hurdles that life throws your way. -It is possible to form the second largest celeb crush of your life at age 24. Robert Pattinson OWNS me! - If you confess to someone that one time when you were blitzed out of your mind you cried about the fact that you asked for a Brita filter for your birthday, expect for said person to laugh their ass off at how ridiculous you are. (Thanks Kathleen!) - After reading this list, I have realized that I just may have a drinking problem (drinking problem? I drink and I get drunk…where’s the problem?). - It is possible to stumble across something that keeps your mind off the fact that you miss your friends more than anything…God bless the written word. It’s as if I live for reading and writing much of the time. -You have reached handbag euphoria when you own a bag to match every single outfit you own, perfectly. - If you are ever incredibly sick and begging for death to come and take you, your dog will stand by your side and keep you company like the little ball of perfection that she is. Both of my stories have a thread over on Twilighted! Go and check it out, it will be worth your while, I promise! (Can anyone say "teasers"?) "Little Fish, Big Fish" is co-authored by fantastic Ms. Paige Parkker. Go check her out! She is a phenomenal writer my friends!! http://www.fanfiction.net/u/2016807/ | |||||||||
