Hey everyone, this is LilyRosetheDreamer here and I just wanted to share my good fortune at getting into university with you all!

Yep, I'm here now in Swansea and so far it's been fantastic. It's also the reason why my updates have been few and far between as far as 100 Missions, Spy Down, Endless Broken Melody and Impulse and Inertia have been concerned, so I apologise greatly for that. I am starting my course properly next week, but I will have some free time hopefully (inbetween all of my societies that I've joined. XD) to update my stories. Spy Down is the one I'm having the most difficulties with right now, so if you have any ideas for Chapter 16, the help would be appreciated.

Guide to Everything Fanfiction…Sonic the Hedgehog.

A guide to help authors with fanfiction.

As some of you may know, I am LilyRosetheDreamer, one of the longer-term residents of Fanfiction.net. I have observed and read over the five or more years (I think) that I have been here and I have even produced works of my own. I cannot help but notice the repetitions of mistakes that appear over every fanfic section and having made some of those mistakes in the past (hopefully learning from them as I go), I wish to extend my gained knowledge to others, especially the newest fanfic authors coming up and making themselves known. So here is a guide to help the Sonic the Hedgehog section with their troubles of writing, reviewing and others.

Firstly, the most important thing of all…the actual written piece.

I have seen some fanfics in my time here and as I can't go through them all, here are the subjects that crop up the most and must be treaded carefully through in order to appease your fanbase (or attract a fanbase). There are good fanfics and there can be bad fanfics and these tips should hopefully see you through:

The story line

This is your first major hurdle in writing a good story. A creative writer can have THOUSANDS of ideas streaming around in that noggin of theirs and you must exercise caution to avoid falling into a fanfic 'trap zone' as I like to call it.

To start with an example, let's go with a common storyline – the Sonic characters in high school. Now, I have read many of these and I have read many in disbelief (As a rule, I do NOT mention names to prevent many feelings being hurt and general bad will so don't expect them!). Many high school fics fall into the Pitfall of Emptiness – in other words, there is no reason whatsoever for these characters to be in high school at all. They are just thrust into 'Emerald High' etc with no clue how or why they are there in the first place. Confusing, no?

Now, not being a member or SEGA, I have no idea how the world of Mobius is governed. If it is anything like Earth, the Mobian children should go to school. Taking into account the Sonic characters, the schools they would or could go to could look a little like this:

Sonic (apparently aged 15 in Sonic Heroes) – high school.

Tails (apparently 8 in SH) – elementary school.

Knuckles (apparently 16 in SH) – high school.

Shadow (ULF/immortal) – possibly able to skip education.

Silver (age unknown although seems young) – uncertain.

…And I could go on forever. You see, it is extremely difficult to know where to place these characters in education. Because of this, authors tend to experiment and/or guess what situation these characters would be in. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The methods I would recommend are:

If you are REALLY desperate to put Sonic and co. in high school, then PLEASE use a good/valid reason for why they are there. It is no good saying that they randomly got a letter from the government or G.U.N saying that they must go to school as they have been breaking the law since birth or blackmailing them etc.

A good idea I saw put to use was undercover work set by G.U.N to Sonic and co. This is a creative reason for Sonic and friends to appear in school BUT this must be used wisely. For example, it's no use plonking Mephiles the Dark (he is counted as deceased) or Dr Eggman as the new suspicious principal as neither would be interested in teaching or trying to achieve world domination from a high school. May I recommend suspicious alien activity as a reason for Sonic and pals to go undercover as students? I can see them being willing to act upon this.

If you are going to put Eggman as a teacher or principal, try to think of an in-character reason as to why he would make such a move. I might have missed a valuable reason for him being there after all.

What the characters get up to.

Now that they are settled into whatever schools are appropriate (if it is just a high school, use the older characters as students – the remainder are either too old or too young.), it is time to put them in various activities or interactions with other students (who will have to be OCs but I will get to that later).

The important thing is for them to remain IN-CHARACTER. It would be unwise for Shadow to suddenly join every club in the school or Sonic to turn into an angsty loner. Shadow is the loner type (if he could be counted as a high school character) so he would not make 1.5 million friends by the end of the first day. Sonic is the cheerful, friendly type so he would try to make new friends and possibly join a club to really immerse himself in the role of student. Try to make their reactions to lessons (and lessons themselves) as believable as possible to save your self from embarrassing flames.

Moving away from high school, these characters act OOC in many romance stories as well. Which leads us to…

Pairings.

In any story, the pairings that happen are ultimately up to you. It would be wise however to consider these very carefully as not all of them are believable (some bordering lunacy) or are over-used.

Some pairings that can be used well are:

Son/Amy.

Shad/Amy (there is a hint of fondness for her by Shadow in SA2 that could be taken as the start of love).

Shad/Sally (this is canon in the Archie Comics at one point).

Vector/Vanilla (canon in Sonic X, though may be one-sided).

Tails/Cosmo (definitely canon in Sonic X).

Tail/Cream (the age difference is acceptable and could be used as a form of childhood romance).

Knuckles/Rouge (canon in the games and anime so you're in luck!).

Silver/Blaze (hints of attraction in Sonic the Hedgehog 2006).

These are but a few you could use. The ones I would stay away from (especially if you are a first timer) are:

Any yaoi e.g. Sonadow (there is NO canon attraction towards each other AT ALL, though I do not criticise others for using this pairing).

Any form of yuri e.g. Amy/Rouge (read above)

Any incest (most canon characters are not related).

Son/Amy (you'll see why).

Shad/Rouge (read above)

Knux/Tikal (read above)

The last three may have confused you.

Surely they are good for fanfiction?

Not always.

As I hinted in the above list, Shadouge could be used as there may be slight canon attraction, but unfortunately the interaction between them can really be seen as friendly (borderline flirty in Rouge's case as she will flirt with any man) and that's it.

SonAmy is the same, only Sonic has bluntly said no to Amy's almost crazy advances (apart from Sonic Chronicles, where SonAmy fans can make Sonic fall for her charms). He does not want to be with her as he is free-spirited and that is that. Knuckles is related to Tikal so it could be frowned upon. Don't put these couples together just because everyone else is.

OCs

These are very fragile subjects to broach as OCs can easily go into Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu territory and go horribly wrong.

Let me give you a parodied example (after all, you may as well have fun reading this):

'Sunshine Daisy Unicorn Ruby was captivating in almost every way. She had no faults-she was perfect. Her sparkling sapphire eyes batted long, perfectly curved eyelashes and her smile melted even the coldest of hearts. Her wavy golden hair flowed like a beautiful waterfall and when it swayed as she stepped delicately down the sidewalk, it flung its beauty and softness everywhere, even finding its way to pedestrians on the other side of the street. Any other person would have been disgusting for flinging hair everywhere, but not Sunshine Daisy Unicorn Ruby! After all, she was like a choir of a thousand angels when she spoke, so everyone scrambled for just one lock of her hair, wondering where such an angel could have sprung from…' etc.

This random Mobian (who is the most common form of Sonic Mary-Sue; a hedgehog) who I just made up is a Mary-Sue in looks and personality through and through. If you want an OC which can be believed by your fanbase, give him/her realistic faults in looks and personality e.g. a small scar or quick to anger. If you want your OC to be loved by a canon character or another OC, make them attractive to that person…but let's not go overboard, shall we? Don't make them fall in love instantly. Believe it or not, that's called a fairytale. If you are going to have romance for a first time character, make another OC for that and have the first OC be friends/enemies with the canon characters for now to be on the safe side.

Once you have had experience with your OCs, you can maybe pan out what powers/abilities they have. No normal living thing can be good at absolutely everything – they have to have believable weaknesses. Even a character with fire powers can get stabbed if they are not careful or some unfortunate events occur.

For example, an OC can be good at Math but suck at English or average at every school subject (they could also be abysmal at everything as some people can't get to grips with any school subject at all in real life). They could have elemental powers (or choose which element etc) but they are not adept at using them and are in training. On the other hand, they can just be ordinary Mobians with no fighting skills whatsoever but can socially support others. Also, try not to give all of your OCs tragic/emo pasts as that's been over-done and after the third character whining about how their parents are dead, it gets tiring. Either way, they have to have weaknesses to balance them out, otherwise they catch the dreaded Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu disease.

Crossovers.

This is an issue which isn't addressed too often. Some fanfics fall into the cliché crossover trap i.e. Sonic/Harry Potter. I doubt these crossovers will ever occur in the games and it is nice to imagine how they would occur. Unfortunately, after the third Sonic/Harry Potter fanfic, people can become very bored.

I would suggest Sonic/Death Note crossover as I have yet to see that and it could be very interesting. Shadow has the type of personality to be lured into Light's position…

Again, keep the characters IN-CHARACTER; although a believable out of character situation can get the go-ahead as every one of us can act OOC in life.

And now, last but not least in the fanfic section…

Grammar (Spelling, punctuation etc):

This is one of the biggest problems on Fanfiction. You can have an excellent storyline, but if the author uses text speak (OMG ikr?) or you cannot read what's in front of you, then you quickly lose interest. Unless you have a valid reason for the misappropriate spelling, like dyslexia (I applaud you for having the courage to keep writing if that's the case) or being unwell and tired, you have no excuse for letting down readers.

Here are some does and don'ts:

1. NEVER use text speak. I know from talking to other users on this site that this is considered a hated crime.

2. Always remember to put capital letters and full stops in your sentences. If you are unsure, ask for advice.

3. If you are uncertain of how to spell a word, either use a dictionary or ask someone to spell it for you.

4. Please use spell checker on Word or whatever programme you have.

5. Back this up with a dictionary.

6. If you are still in doubt, beg someone to beta read for you. They will be kind enough to spot any errors.

Now to move on.

Secondly…reviewing.

Reviews are everything to an author. It helps them see their mistakes and can give you a happy glowing feeling inside when the reviews are good.

If you are going to review or read reviews, there are a few tips to consider:

1. First, try and actually review. A short review is just as good as a long, timed one. It is common courtesy to do so.

2. If you can help it, DON'T flame. Flames cause arguments and hurt people's feelings and I have seen some nasty reviews in my time.

3. If you really feel that the story is bad, please tell them so in a POLITE, friendly reply and back up your reasons why.

4. If you get flames, ignore them or send them a polite, friendly reply (if you have to) to thanks them for their time and that you will consider what they have said. They can't get mad at that, can they?

5. Constructive criticism is GOOD. Authors may not always appreciate it but they can't call you a bully.

6. Give at least one good point and one bad point.

7. Listen to constructive criticism and at least think about each point before deciding whether or not to ignore it.

These are just a few tips but these will help create a more stable environment therefore soothing nerves and easing tension.

Finally we look at forums. These are great for socialising with others and can be helpful for when you are stuck. Unfortunately, some are repetitive, boring or a place for bullies. Here are a few rules for forums:

1. When creating an RPG forum, it is similar to a fanfic; the characters must stay IN-CHARACTER and the story must be easy to follow and exciting.

2. Try to give them a structured path as some RPGs have gone sour trying to wait for others to catch up with what's going on.

3. Chat forums are not a place to start fights and pick on others. If you don't get along with someone, agree to disagree and leave it there.

4. Do not drag others into petty fights. It just makes them feel awkward and upset.

5. DO tell the moderator if you are being bullied as they can take the necessary steps to deal with it.

6. Trolls are relatively simple creatures and are easy to deal with. If a troll starts stomping all over your forum, ignore them. Believe it or not, these people thrive off annoyance and anger and bask in attention. Ignoring them means you are stripping them of their ammo.

7. If they persist, tell the moderator and let them get rid of them as they see fit.

And…there you have it. A guide to fanfiction and everything it has to offer. I did not have time to cover everything and this is where I am opening the field to all of you. As a bonus, the best suggestions will get posted in a bonus chapter for everyone to see next time!

I've redone my About Me bit because it was poorly done last time.

About Me!

My name is LilyRosetheDreamer and I am a student at Swansea University studying for my Psychology degree, which is a lot of fun right now! Uni life is definitely not what I expected. XD

I have a cat named Rufus and my family consists of my Mum and Dad and little sister. I tend to be found in a library or running around outside in the countryside doing a variety of activities including Archery, Fencing, C.L.A.S.H (or Viking Society for short, as we learn how to fight with old weaponry like swords, spears etc), Sci-Fi, Anime and Manga, Christian Union and Hogwarts and Equestrian. So, as you can see, I've joined a lot of clubs. I also love my computer.

I live in Wales, where it likes to rain...a lot. If we collected all of our rain water, the Africans would never have to worry about drought again. But, there are beautiful, lush greem places because of it. Check out the Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia if you ever arrive here.

Whoever woke up one morning with that in their head is amazing.

I love to watch comedies and cartoons/manga on TV because that's about the only good programmes on these days. -_- Seriously, where are all these stupid murder mysteries and soaps coming from? Can't we have a happy moment on TV for five minutes?

I love our Mother Earth and God, as they protect us and give us so many things. I suppose that makes me a crazy tree hugger. XD I want to be able to help out with conservation projects when I have a little more money and time (ah, the problems of students everywhere) and want to work towards being a child or animal psychologist or clinical as my main job. After that, I'll probably take a Masters and PhD in Psychology so people can go round calling me Doctor or Professor. XD

Personality: Hotheaded and stubborn, but caring too. Doesn't like being told what to do and gets hyper and excited if she's doing something fun. Very cheerful.

Appearance: Is yellow all over apart from her muzzle, which is pale peach. Her eyes are strawberry pink. Her boots are Doc Martins, only purple and her clothes change depending on her mood.

Bio: Her parents(Toffee and Rodney) live in Station Square. She has known my other fanchars for a while now and always takes her lucky key-ring wherever she goes.

Bio: Has parents called Copper and Mary. She got into trouble while on holiday with Eggman and Sonic and co and the some of my fancharacters came along to help. Her necklace was originally her grandmother's until she died peacefully of old age.

Pets: A horse and a cat called Archibald. On another planet, she has befriended a dragon called Esmerelda - Maria.

Personality: She is very quiet and gentle, the opposite of her twin. She acts like the leader she is and she rarely gets angry with anyone (doesn't have the heart to). Her sense of loyalty and bonds is very strong and she has an iron will. Is kind to any race. However, she trusts people too easily and this leads to her getting into sticky scrapes. She also has no concept of time in her normal life so she tends to be late for things. Her Math skills are pretty dismal.

Powers: Ability to control all of the elements (fire, water etc), has limited psychic powers (telepathic communication with her twin mostly) and has super speed. She also holds the Heart of Diamonds, which is very specific to her (will explain more in the bio).

Talents: Art, music and sports and cooking. Her strategy making skills are good.

Appearance: She has golden-brown hair with earthy green eyes (quite normal looking eyes really). She always wears a watch and the Heart of Diamonds around her neck on a thin silver chain. Her clothes differ each day.

Bio: Has a mother (very wonderful mother may I add) called Jennifer Autumn and a father called Jeff Autumn. Jeff is an ex-business tycoon who now owns a charity dedicated to helping children all over the world in any position and the whole family live in the rural area just outside of New York. She has four older brothers called Eric, Scott, Brook and Leo with her twin Alan and her little sister Amanda. Is part of an assembled group called the Guardians. The immediate group who were picked by an unknown higher power when they were born are herself, Alan, Fermat, Elyon and TinTin. Danielle, Ross, Icestar, Erebus, Luna, Todd and Eros, Indigo and Mark joined a little later. Has travelled to many worlds. The Heart of Diamonds holds the Guardians together. The can activate their powers without it, but it is a source of energy and a general weapon of protection for Earth. Rebecca was chosen to be its Holder.

Powers: He can control all of the elements, thanks to an unknown entity picking him as one of the Guardians at birth. Has limited psychic abilities (mostly telepathic communication with his twin, Rebecca) and has super speed.

Talents: Sports, music and stand up.

Appearance: Has tousled golden-blonde hair and deep ocean eyes. Always wears a watch and clothes differ each day.

Bio: Is one of the chosen five Guardians but part of a wider team with the same name. His parents are Jennifer and Jeff Autumn and his siblings are Eric, Scott, Brook, Leo, Rebecca and Amanda. Has travelled to many worlds, including Mobius.

Likes: Family and friends, food, comedy, pranks and the electric guitar.

Dislikes: Anybody trying to harm his loved ones, rules and oppression of his running.

Appearance: Has raven hair and chocolate eyes. She wears stylish clothes and looks slightly Asian. Always wears a watch.

Bio: Her parents are both Asian (Tai-Lin and Arisa), who moved to America where she was born. She is best friends with Elyon and locks horns with Alan, who annoys her with his stupidity. She loves jewels and is pretty good at identifying fake from real. Todd is her boyfriend and they are very close. She is one of the chosen five.

Likes: Jewelry, Todd and girl time with her friends.

Dislikes: Alan's immature behaviour and fake jewels.

Pets: A horse called Jet

Personality: A peaceful, wise sensei type figure, who will not let his emotions show in time of battle. Very loving towards family and friends and at one with nature. Serious nature in missions. Can be oblivious to the attentions of the fairer sex. Very patient.

Powers: None - he is a warrior.

Talents: Weaponry, tracking, sports (anything physical really) and playing the flute. Senses heightened as a result of training.

Appearance: Deep black hair with reddish tanned skin and black eyes - overall, your typical Native American look. Wears a cowboy hat a lot and prefers loose fitting clothes in daily life and tight fitting ones in battle.

Bio: Lives with his tribe in North America. His father is the Chief, Mother is Chief's wife and he has no siblings. He was trained by his Grandfather (who is their shaman character) and warriors from his own tribe, as well as a few assassins he came across in his area while they were moving through to a target. However, he is no killer and is one of the Guardians' best fighters, on an equal par with heroes like Batman. He is Fermat's adoptive big brother (taking him in after Chris died) and is currently acting as his mentor too, teaching him everything he knows. He can fly using wings Fermat made him, as he has no powers and wanted an advantage. He favours his twin katanas for fighting. TinTin is his girlfriend.

Likes: Family, friends and meditating.

Dislikes: Danger to his people, people who are blind to their surroundings and corporate people.

Species: Human (White American)

Gender: Boy

Pets: None.

Personality: A cheerful, hard working boy who can get a bit down hearted with himself if he believes he has failed someone or a task. Doesn't get shy around girls, even though he is very nerdy as he is a relaxed person most of the time; except when he has a deadline. Don't go near him then as he may defenestrate you. Gets excited around technology and video games.

Powers: The elements and can fly.

Talents: Is proficient with weapons, engineering and technology in general, Physics and Math.

Appearance: Brown hair and caramel eyes, with small white wings on his head as a helmet, bracelet wings and anklet wings on his his wrists and ankles. Pale in skin colour.

Bio: Has a father called Reginald (is a scientist), his step mother called Felicity, his birth mother Irma and his step father called Jamie. Did have an older brother called Chris but he died, splitting up his parents and leaving Fermat with depression and shyness for a few years. Todd stepped in to help him back on his feet and during that time, Fermat built him his wings and built his own wings for himself, as he preferred to use them, rather than use air like the other four original Guardians. His girlfriend is Secret from Young Justice as he met her during the time she spent on her own after being freed by the Young Justice boys.

Likes: Technology, his workshop and his friends and family and eating.

Dislikes: Being reminded about Chris' death, cream cheese and people trying to split up families.

These are my OCs. Some belong on Mobius and some belong to the DC Universe (I think you'll be able to tell who belongs where). I'm not saying they're better than canon characters at things and I'm trying to make them least like Mary Sues/Gary Stus as possible. Unfortunately, I will admit right here and now that these guys and girls probably ARE Mary Sues/Gary Stus, for I have not taken the test to find out. However, are not all characters we create Mary Sues/Gary Stus? I tend to put characters into two categories; Canon Sues/Stus and Fandom Sues/Stus.

Canon characters are Mary Sues/Stus because they are the heroes or villains and save the day! The have few weaknesses and there's ALWAYS something special about them, no matter who they are or what they do. The only difference between them and Fandom Sues/Stus is the fact that they are widely accepted in society (i.e. being famous because the creator has successfully advertised and published/sold them) and on the internet e.g. Harry Potter.

Fandom Sues/Stus are the same, but created on Fanfiction and are generally hated by all who see them, no matter how hard the poor authors try (although there are the few that make you scream in horror for a good reason).

So feel free to finally scream if you are looking at my profile right now. However...who knows? You could be writing fanfiction about THEM someday...

Team Fortress 2 profiles (completely different to my fancharacters).

RED:

Name: Felix Paris.

Age: 30

Hair: Dark brown, almost black.

Eyes: Blue.

Gender: Male.

Occupation: Spy.

Appearance: Always wears his RED Spy uniform and mask.

Personality: Very quiet to the point of not talking and shy around women. Has unipolar depression (in Spy Down and sequel - name unknown at this present time) and is loyal to any team-mate. He will hide if frightened, but can defend himself.

Talents: Hacking, spying (obviously) and drawing.

Bio: Was born in France (location unknown) in 1982 and had a normal childhood apart from being bullied in school as a child and was very close to his grandmother until she died. Joined RED after being found by their hiring services in 2009 and trained to be a Spy. Joined his first team but unfortunately got a frosty reception as they weren't very trusting of Spies in general. Was ignored to the point of deliberate exclusion and, along with other contributing environmental factors, developed depression. He was transferred to his current RED team after waking up one morning to find that the old team had left for their new base without him. His crippling shyness has prevented him from making friends as of yet, but that could be about to change. Is indifferent to BLU and will interact with them when necessary.

Likes: Sketching, baby animals and his new team.

Dislikes: Being ignored, his old team and spaghetti.

Name: Bryn Jones.

Age: 34

Hair: Brown.

Eyes: Green.

Gender: Male.

Occupation: Sniper

Appearance: Wears the RED standard Sniper's uniform, but with a red kite feather tucked into the left breast pocket.

Personality: Quiet but cheerful and always likes to help others as he has a big heart. Is loyal and trustworthy when it comes to secrets.

Talents: Sniping (obviously), knitting and cheering people up.

Bio: Was born in the North Wales valleys in 1978 and grew up normally. Became a Sniper for the army when he was twenty years old and was chosen by RED's hiring services to be part of their war. He is well-known for cheering people up when they're down and is friendly to everyone,but doesn't really know how to deal with Felix as the Spy won't talk to him or anyone else. He has a close friendship with the RED Soldier and and has a habit of knitting everyone new scarves whenever they go somewhere cold/winter arrives.

Likes: Knitting, talking about kung-fu movies, watching said movies and kiwis.

Dislikes: Being back-stabbed in battle, being interrupted in his knitting and falling over in front of others (which is often for some reason).

Name: Pippin "Pip" Fox.

Age: 19

Hair: Light brown.

Eyes: Blue.

Gender: Male.

Occupation: Scout.

Appearance: Wears the standard Scout uniform and has a lot of badges on his hat, including the peace sign.

Personality: He's very hyperactive and playful, constantly needing something to do, otherwise he becomes bored and annoying. Very clumsy and childish.

Talents: Running (I'm way too obvious, aren't I?), dancing and capturing intel.

Bio: Was born in Boston in 1992 and has seven older brothers, who he idolises. He's a mama's boy and is constantly knocking things over. Some team members have no patience for him (Soldier and Demoman being the main culprits) but he thinks of them as his second family anyway, much to their annoyance. He became the Scout in 2010 and is the youngest member of the team, the second being the Pyro.

Likes: Running, baseball, dancing and food (in large quantities).

Dislikes: Sitting still, being quiet and having nobody to play baseball with.

Age: 33

Hair: Cropped brown.

Eyes: Dark brown.

Gender: Male.

Occupation: Soldier.

Appearance: Wears the standard RED Soldier uniform with a small American flag stitched into the right collar.

Personality: Very disciplined and strict, but is a softy at heart and will help anyone on his team in need. Respectful of people who work hard and keep going.

Talents: Drilling his team mates, fixing clothes and playing the trombone.

Bio: Was born in Ohio in 1979 and grew up listening to his father's war stories. Ended up joining the US Marines and served for a limited time until RED found him, impressed by his abilities and discipline. He looks upon his BLU counterpart as being the lesser man and is genuinely confused at the cold shoulder given by BLU Soldier to the BLU Medic. He's often seen hanging around in the gym or planning their next attack on BLU or meditating in his room.

Likes: Obedience, exercise and quiet meditation.

Dislikes: Pippin being annoying, seeing their "rations" running low and laziness.

Name: Guy McNabbin.

Age: 32

Hair: Black small afro.

Eyes: Dark brown.

Gender: Male.

Occupation: Demoman.

Appearance: Wears standard RED Demoman uniform (without the smiley face taped to his crotch) and sometimes lets his hair free to be an afro. XD

Personality: Very laid-back, but lacks common sense. Can be creative (especially when with his bombs) and is generally very friendly.

Talents: Gardening, blowing stuff up and chemistry.

Bio: Was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1980 and grew up in the poorer areas of Glasgow. He took the job with RED to help out his parents and has always been interested in chemistry, so he took the Demoman training course. Guy is a non-alcoholic, an unusual trait in Demomen and can get a bit depressed about only having one eye.

Likes: Gardening, woodwork and blowing stuff up.

Dislikes: Not being able to throw parties, loud noises when he's trying to sleep and his bombs being tampered with.
