Me: I take my sprite Easter-pink. I keep a dream journal. Irish/Polish, represent! I wear every colour of nail polish available. I speak/read/write Latin. I'm a bit of a wrist-banger. I wear a diamond set in my incisor tooth (and next time 'round, it'll be a ruby, methinks). I firmly believe in the Loch Ness monster and other sea creatures of similar ilk. I wish on the first star I see every night. I always catch snowflakes with my tongue. I am a proud Harry Potter nerd. I love manga. I love slash. I love thunderstorms. I steal flowers from other people's gardens. I love glowsticks. I can fold those little fortune-tellers, but I don't know how to make a paper airplane. My favourite animal is the lion, followed closely by any number of cryptozoological creatures, and the muppet (what? it's an animal!...so are pokémon!). I use typewriters, rotary telephones and hand-crank music boxes. I will dodge traffic to catch my bus or train. Some future goals include learning archery and knife-throwing. I blow kisses at and give the middle finger to every security camera I pass. Every time I go back to the shores of Newfoundland, I rest my heart amongst the stones by the Atlantic Ocean, and leave it there to wait for my return. I make the best cup of loose-leaf tea you will ever taste, and I also make the best mix-cds you will ever hear (complete with hand-done cd and cover art!). I won't apologize for the things I say and think and feel- that would be apologizing for the truth. My fingertips are always stained with charcoal from my kit or ink from my fountain pen. 'Iron Fist' shoes are my favourite footwear, aside from being barefoot. I shamelessly ogle good looking people. My heroes: Horatio Caine, Sir Digby Chicken Caesar, my dad. I can read music, and play a few instruments. I have a permanent crush on cyberpunk culture/literature/films, etc. All things historical are my greatest love in life: ancient societies, dead languages, revolutions, monarchies, warfare, etc. I have a penchant for drawn-out, psychological practical jokes, and tendency toward extremely dark and macabre humour, as well as a bad habit of sarcasm. Folk & faery tales, and nursery rhymes are a great love of mine, and I frequent story-swaps and professional tellings. I love blowing bubbles. I'm all about sportin' the big, DJ headphones. I'm always chewing gum (and blowing really big bubbles). I think hacking is the coolest thing ever (you know, where someone breaks into the computer systems with crazy skill). I own every animated Disney film on VHS and still watch them. I have a Shakespearean insult-theme going in my kitchen. I love going to concerts and musicals and evenings at either the opera or to see the orchestra. I'm all about the big hoop earrings (seriously, I can put my fist through mine), and I only wear silver jewellery (or platinum/white gold). I boycott scented candles and air-fresheners/home deoderants; I can't abide by that chemical crap. I'm so ready for the zombie apocalypse; the walking-dead can bring it on. Current fave song: Bad Girlfriend, by Theory Of A Deadman (no one really knows if she's drunk or if she's stoned). I'm the kid that always got busted for passing notes in class. I love fingerless gloves; they make me think of Dickensian London (Artful Dodger, eat your heart out!). Where the Wild Things are! My pet obsessions are the varied paintings of Ophelia (Hamlet's lady-friend), and the different versions of "Szomorú vasárnap". I swear like a sailor and tend to make up words if I can't articulate something. I write dirty things on the backs of professor-evaluation surveys. I am in a book club, making my geek-factor off the Richter. I love wandering through woods, neighbourhoods at night, and cemeteries. I once accidentally stabbed myself in the thigh, à la Dr. Frederic Frankenstein, during anatomy class. My favourite foods are sushi, colourful cupcakes, pomegranates, pierogies, poppy seed, lemonade (from the stands shaped like big lemons, where they do the little shake-routine and make your drink before your eyes), olives, brie cheese, black cherries, hummus and pita, lime crush, birthday cake (as in the crappy, flower-icing, white cake covered in candles. I'm a frosting whore!), and absinthe, red wine, sangria (and this is what happens). I like to write my name with sparklers...or write 'boobs', whichever I'm more in the mood for. I often go to plays, living as I do so close to many theatres. I wear a single pin on my purse: an illustration of Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and his assistant Beaker. One word: Djarums. Occasionally, I push my friends down the street in stolen shopping carts. My favourite words are 'juvenescent', 'angelocracy', 'euphoria', 'dreamt', 'ensoul', 'yesternight', 'methinks', 'asphyxia'. I love to laugh, the kind of laughing where you can't breathe and your abs ache and you get crocodile tears. One of my favourite things is wearing other people's clothing/jewellery; that's how you can tell I like ya! Most days, I'm wearing an obscene amount of glitter. I do one cross-word every day. Sometimes I think that my sea-legs serve me better than I could ever fare on land with my klutz-attacks. I'm biding my time until I can splurge for my white-ink tattoos. I love seeing beautiful collar bones on anyone. I am notorious for making lists. I know the following words in sign language: turtle, Jesus, cheese, koala, king, woman, beautiful, bread, butter, ablaze, affair, bullshit, lion. I love vampires (real vampires, not the sparkly damn kind...). I'm a shameless flirt. Every magnetic surface in my place is coated in little word-magnets for building sentences. I have a budding band-tshirt collection. There is nothing better to me than bass you can feel echoing in your ribcage or the smell of burning peat and wood fire. I can play both checkers and chess. I love car movies; if you can steal a car, race a car, or crash a car, I'm there. God help me, I cut my own hair sometimes. It's entirely possible that I know every word and action cue from every song and movie I've ever seen or heard, and there's nothing I can do to forget it once it's in my head. 80s and 90s cartoons are my bag; they have the most badass themesongs. I can wiggle my ears, snap my fingers, whistle, and do both the 'roll' and the 'clover' with my tongue (I can also tie a knot in a cherry stem). I'm totally into palmistry and dream of running away to live with gyspies to learn the science. Of course I cheat at cards/everything else, and yes, I can pick a lock. I always have my Swiss Army knife and lighter on me (I was a girl guide! I'm always prepared! Consequently, I also have an arsenal of camp songs and the ability to build camp-fires like nobody's business). I love Plastic!Winchester theatre. I may use ebonics in everyday conversation, much to the chagrin of my listeners and my own extremely white DNA. Film noir! I am afraid of spiders and nothing else. I have an obsession with time and doorways. I want badly to be a polyglot, and I'm slowly working my way there. I always fight for my friends. My insanity is undoubtedly hereditary. I adore Johnny Depp, so Johnny, if you're reading...Basically, I'm pretty bitchin', and too legit to quit. Can ya dig it? Holla!
