O hai thar. You can call me Jormy, if it suits you. Or Hel. Or Fred. Or General Pimpernel. I'm not all that fussed. I'm a writer, artist, and general heaving mass of teenage boredom.

Welcome to my world.

Why yes, it is quite odd. Like just about everyone on the almighty internet, I like to think that I am quite odd. It's some sort of mass personal delusion, I think. Well, anyway. Moving swiftly on.

What to say, what to say? Well, I'm sixteen, British, and currently taking far too many A-levels - and no, if you're looking for something to throw in my face, none of them are English qualifications. Writing, in my mind, belongs firmly in the 'downtime' section, else it's no fun.

As the more astute of you may have noticed (or at least, those of you who know Norse mythology) from my account name, I am a massive mythology nerd. This also shows through in my LJ account (fenrischained) which, if you like what I've written here, you may want to check out, as that is where I post most of my fanfiction and all my original fiction.

I'm fairly open with fanfic. I don't read a lot of it, to be honest - I just write it obsessively. Occasionally, I mourn my inability to find genfic, and sometimes I just want to read, but you know...

I'm not all that picky about what I read, as long as it's been run through a spellcheck first and doesn't have OMIGOSH SUPAH SPESHUL SPARKLES!

And as long as it's not Twilight, because that was funny as a book, but as fanfic? Not so much. (I'm not sure whether 'funny' is what SMeyer was going for, but I like books that make me fall off my chair laughing, so Twilight gets two thumbs up from me. I shall continue to consider it a parody until such a time as I am conclusively proved wrong.
Oh, come on. Nobody writes glittery main characters and means it SERIOUSLY. Surely?)

(Oh, and on that subject, YES, I am a hypocrite. I have written Twilight fanfiction. I freely admit it. Hell, it's on this page. My only defence is that it's about blood, mass murder, and torture, not sparkles and twu luv. And also, as a grammar nazi, I like to think my grammar's rather better than a) hers and b) a lot of the people who write fic of Twilight. Yeah, I know, I'm a snobbish, arrogant bitch. Two words: crai moar)

I'm not picky about genre, really, either. PWP can get on my nerves a bit, but you know. All good (especially gen xD). If anyone has any good recs, I'd love to hear 'em!

Um, what else...

Fandoms. Fandoms, fandoms, fandoms.

I have a lot of them. The one I probably write most fic for is Lord of the Rings, but then there's Harry Potter, The Dark Tower, Marvel, Torchwood, Doctor Who, Heroes... you know, Milton, Discworld, Sandman, the Edge Chronicles... I could go on. I don't write fic for all of them, of course. Yet.

Have I missed anything? -looks around- Nah, don't think so.

Peace out!

STORY STATUSES

BLOODlight (Harry Potter/Twilight): DOESN'T HAVE ENOUGH BLOOD, DAMMIT! BLOOD BLOOD KILLING MAIMING MURDER THIS IS THE GODDAMN BELLATRIX BLACK!

Womanly Wiles (Harry Potter): Will be continuing as soon as I can summon up the suitable crackishness.

Place Beyond The Sun (Dark Tower/Hellblazer): DEFINITELY in the works. I just got several new Hellblazer comics and the latest DT comic, so I'm on a high for both. Just as soon as I finish apping Roland for RP...

Middle-Earth And How I Saved It (Lord of the Rings parody): Also need to summon up more crackishness before I can get on with this one.

Police Boxes & Improbability Drives (Doctor Who/HHGTTG): ON HIATUS until I can find the Ninth Doctor episodes and get a canon update.

Meaning of Life (Book Thief): COMPLETE! Will probably write a sequel.
