My name is Harlem.

I've loved to read ever since I learned, and I think my love of reading blossomed into my love of writing. I wrote my very first story when I was little--I'm not exactly sure how old, but I couldn't have been more than six. All I remember about it is that it was about twins with the last name of Backhander...haha.

Anyways, I wrote stories all through middle and high school, but then I just stopped. I never really had the inspiration to write another story. It was sort of like long-term writer's block. I still kind of have it, but the point of my being an author on this website is for me to try to overcome it. I'm hoping that if I start with characters that someone already designed for me (and maybe even themes or prompts as well) I'll get my own creative juices flowing and start to crank out my own original stories again. Hence the pen name Writer Unblocked (really I wanted to be Writer, Unblocked with the comma because I think it looks better, but apparently commas aren't allowed in pen names. Boo hoo).

My point is these fanfictions are the first thing I've really written since my senior year in high school and they are the ONLY things that I've actually allowed anyone else to read, so go easy on me okay? I'm here to learn. My first few stories might be a little raggedy, but hopefully (with your helpful reviews/criticisms) I'll get better.

Most importantly, I. LOVE. BONES. I never watch TV, and I'm actually at work on Thursdays at 8 (which is when it airs in Boston), but I somehow developed a very, very unhealthy obsession with that show. I watch the new episodes online as soon as I possibly can (usually Friday mornings, haha) and, after I destroyed the hard drive on my old PC by accidentally downloading major viruses while trying to watch old episodes online, I finally broke down and bought the first three seasons on DVD. All of my fanfictions will be for Bones, and you can expect me to put Booth and Bones in bed together quite frequently because I really don't think Hart Hanson is doing it quickly enough.

(6/22/09): Hmm...I felt that it might be important to add this. I love each and every one of your reviews. Seriously. I love them. That said, it might take me like 2, 3, 4, 5 weeks (okayy...two weeks tops lol) to respond to you. Please don't take it personally! It's just me being lazy/at work/lazy/taking classes/lazy/doing other important stuff/being really, really lazy. Lol. Also, for Tattoo, that story got a TON of reviews, and I loooove everyone who submitted one, but I know that I didn't respond to them all. Sorry, sorry, sorrry!! I didn't mean to not respond...it's just that I got really busy with finals and it sorta just...slipped? Is that a good excuse (I hope so, cuz it's the truth lol). Also, I think there might have been a few PMs out there that got accidentally deleted before I responded. I have no idea who they were from, but PLEASE don't take it personally if I didn't respond!

I do try my best to respond to most of my reviews within a reasonable time frame though, cuz if you guys took the time to review then it's only fair that I should take the time to respond. Yes?
