Author has written 12 stories for Twilight.

Blah blah blah

so here's what i'm about:

i love movies. my collection is about 200 strong. every movie i buy gets watched with commentary eventually. i like a few fandoms, including X-men, Harry Potter, and Twilight. i prefer Twifanfic because, let's face it, the books aren't all that great. there's just something about the characters.

i only started writing recently. it's just for fun. i only write Twifanfic, and it's usually all human. i can't explain why, except to say that i don't have much interest in doing canon stuff. however, i generally only like canon couples for this fandom. usually my fics are just crazy ideas i come up with, or i get inspired by something i see or read and run with it. i love Alice and Jasper, Esme and Carlisle. i'm a fan of Rosalie and Leah, even though many people think these are generally negative characters. i think they are the most human of any characters Meyer created and i can relate to them.

as for HP and X-men, i prefer slash. that's another thing i can't explain. the only het smut i'm comfortable with is the Twi stuff for some reason. my fave pairings are Snarry, Harry/Draco, Gambit/Wolverine, Gambit/Archangel, Gambit/Iceman. those are about the only ones i read.

there are things i refuse to read. i won't do RP fic because it seems like a violation. that's not to say i look down on anyone who does, but it's not my personal thing. i don't like x-men slash that involves the animal type mutants like Beast or Nightcrawler. i don't have anything against those characters, i'm just not into the whole furry thing. i can't stand Jacob from Twilight, so i generally avoid him in all his forms. i may, however, write a fic where Jasper blows his head off with a shotgun. we'll see.

in general, i don't do the rape/incest as smut stuff. it is disturbing. however, i don't mind the angsty type of stories that are about those things. i think fanfic writers write on these subjects to work things out in their heads, even if they don't have any firsthand experience with those issues. it probably helps me work things out too.

my theory on slash is that it has nothing to do with homosexuality. it's about men and women. using two male characters is a way of distancing the gender issues and so forth from the concepts of male and female.

my theory on why i like Twilight ff so much is that, for one, so many of the characters have untold stories. also, there are so many characters that you can write differently, but still remain true to the character. i don't know, it's weird.

as far as what i read, generally i don't look at anything that seems too cliche. i like h/c, family, things like that. smut is nice, but so is fluff. i like really original ideas, like things that aren't only about two characters falling in love. i mean, love is nice, but i want more too. they should be working out personal issues. they need to seem alive.

when i write, i often like to bring up issues that people don't often like to talk about. so i tend to include things about race, class, religion, things like that. i think most people shy away from those issues because they aren't comfortable, but they are important and should be discussed.

i won't be reading or writing anything on imprinting, because i find it really disturbing. i hate love triangles and any kind of cheating. i enjoy the occasional fic that's really funny, and i've found a few on this site. a couple times i have read non-canon pairs, but only if no one was really getting hurt. there are maybe two exceptions to this. one was Ed/C and one was C/A. those were just incredibly well-written.

i'm not sure what's up with some of the fics i'm reading. most haven't been updated in several months. some haven't been updated in six months. what's up with that? i guess people are busy.

if you read and review one of my stories, i will probably reply to you.

here is my opinion on reviewing. the purpose of a review is to either encourage the writer/story, or offer constructive criticism. if you hate a fic, don't read it, don't subscribe, and don't bother telling the writer. if you feel a writer just needs a bit of advice, give it. i've been given some of this type of criticism, like that i needed to slow down the pacing of a fic, or that i might try doing a POV from a particular character. that is helpful and i generally appreciate it.

there are things i find intolerable in some fics that will make me stop reading, even if i like the idea. i can't stand seeing the English language butchered. i don't use caps much, because that's just me. but i do try to use correct grammar, capitalization, and punctuation when i publish. i also don't read song fics, in general. though i do enjoy some that are inspired by songs. i can look up lyrics myself. i don't see anything wrong with including a quote, a theme song, or some lyrics at the beginning or end of a fic if it adds to the message of that chapter. i don't read fics where the writer says in the summary that they suck at summaries. all you have to do is type up the general idea and give warnings. it's not that hard.

i always seem to have many fics going at once. that's just me, and i try not to neglect any for too long.

that's about it for now. so you know a bit about me. hope you also enjoy my work.
