Favorite series:

Xenosaga - Loved it since I played the first game, consider the third game in the series to be the greatest RPG ever made, just my opinion of course. I hated how the series was ended after episode III, it was in no way a "complete" ending in my opinion. Very intrigued by the friendship between KOS-MOS and Shion and is a focal point of many of my fanfics.

Resident Evil - Only liked the main series, the spinoffs I didn't care much for. Resident Evil 5 was frustrating to play, as the two main characters of the series, Chris and Jill, were not used to their maximum potential in the plot. Jill, Chris, Leon and Claire are my favorite characters.

Ikkitousen - I love history, in particular ancient history, so an anime series based on the Three Kingdoms era in China was intriguing. An enormous amount of fanservice in this anime, but I enjoyed the story. I prefer Seito high school over the others, as it is representative of the Shu kingdom during that time in history, and that is my favorite of the Three Kingdoms. Liu-Bei(Ryuubi Gentoku), Guan Yu(Kanu Unchou), Zhang Fei(Chouhi Ekitoku), and Zhao Yun(Chou'un Shiryuu) are my favorite historical figures from that time.

Gurren Lagann - Mecha anime, easily my favorite anime of all time. It was a little short, but excellent plot. I'm unsure yet if I will write fanfics based on this or not.

Writing Style:

My fanfics typically incorporate the same style of writing, I don't diverge from it too much. I like to write about the friendships that exist between certain characters, I steer clear of the romantic "fluff" stuff, as I think it takes away from the complexity and intrigue of those friendships. In particular, I prefer to explore the friendships that exist between female characters, as I find them to be much more complex than a male-female friendship. I try to show a deep connection between the characters without revealing exactly how deep those feelings run, which is precisely why I like the characters that I do. Chris/Jill, Leon/Claire, KOS-MOS/Shion, and Kanu/Gentoku all have bonds that run very deep, and it is quite obvious that they care about each other, but there are no definitive romantic feelings there(save for Kanu/Gentoku). This ambiguity where the reader or player asks the question "just how deep do these feelings run?" without the actual series revealing the answer to this question opens up infinite possibilities for fanfics.

I very rarely create characters to place into the fanfics, in fact there is only one fanfic where I do that. The reason for this is I think it makes it more difficult to address what I really want to address, which are the bonds between the already existing characters. By introducing another character into the story, it creates a potential for diverting greatly from who the characters are and not staying faithful to their personality. Of course this is not always the case, but I prefer to work with what we have been given by the creators of the characters, which is an all-around challenging task in writing, but fun nonetheless.

Also, I do not post fanfics until they are completed, I cannot stand posting half-finished works, making the readers wait to read the subsequent chapters. I understand some authors like to post this way, and that is fine, but I try to refrain from doing so.

Current Works:

Xenosaga: Currently working on a number of smaller stories, mostly addressing what occured between the games. A larger fanfic is in the works that will end the series, as I see it anyway, since the current ending was not an ending. There are a number of obstacles with this one, so it is on the backburner for now. I am also planning a larger story that will be a novelization of all three games and a fourth part to end the series, will be a while until this gets underway though.

Resident Evil: Like many others I will be writing my own take on Chris and Jill following RE5. Post RE:Degeneration fanfic also in the works, between Leon and Claire. I am toying with the idea of writing two novelisations of the RE series, one from Chris' point of view, another from either Leon or Claire's perspective. A gigantic undertaking, so still unsure if I wish to tackle this or not.

Ikkitousen: Updating this section. I'm writing a few fanfics based on this series now, as a number of ideas struck me over the past few days.

Gurren Lagann: No plans to write fanfics on this series at this time. This could change, but I doubt it.
