Had you asked me years ago about my favorite movie, I would've waffled and come up with some makeshift answer. Now, after four decades I can tell you that the High School Musical TRILOGY is my favorite. Did you know that there are over 18 THOUSAND FanFiction stories written in the HSM category? As simple as these movies are, they spark an interest and a love that inspires hearts all over the world. And sometimes that inspiration simply leads people to need to write, to give the characters an even deeper meaning and connection to our lives. Is it crazy for a woman my age to be inspired like this? Maybe, but you know...it's been a fun and interesting journey over the past few years. Writing about the characters, and about FICTIONAL Zac and Vanessa happenings has been more therapy than I could ever dream of. (Ok, many are inspired by actual occurrences that simply spur fictional thoughts in my head!) And because of my writing, I've met, via e-mail, some amazing people who share my obsession and have comforted me through a very rough time in my life. Thank you to you all! As if I didn't know I was addicted to HSM... Attending a revival at our church, the preacher says the phrase "Right Here, Right Now". Of course he's referring to the salvation of our souls. However, MY then-five year old son looks at me and says quietly (thank God) "Mommy! That's song number two on the High School Musical 3 cd!!" The thought had already crossed my mind and I had to smile. Good influences go a long way! | |||||||
