Author has written 40 stories for Wrestling, Dark Shadows, WKRP in Cincinnati, Misc. Tv Shows, Calvin & Hobbes, Parodies and Spoofs, General Hospital, Avengers, X-Men, and NCIS. Hello. Okay, let's do this profile thing. I really do hate doing these things. My name is Doug and I'm a middle-aged guy from NC. I like pro wrestling, comic books, muppets, vampires and jelly beans. Damn, that has "major nerd" written all over it, doesn't it? Oh well... lol. Some of you may know me from my wrestling columns. I write "Tossing Salt - Worldwide News" and "Wrestling Fact Or Fiction" for www.wrestle-zone.co.uk and have since 2003. I am what you would call an "internet wrestling journalist" (whatever the hell that is) - it sounds good on the resume. Anyhow, I write those columns and do the occasional recap of RAW, Smackdown, Impact! or whatever PPV happens to catch my fancy. But none of that really matters here, does it? So why am I talking about it? Here at the Fic site, I've written stories about wrestling and wrestlers, NCIS, The X-Men, The Avengers, Dark Shadows and a few other things. You can read the story list down below. I've created my own little parallel universe which mixes Dark Shadows with Marvel Comics (and a little DC Comics thrown in on occasion) called "The Avenging Shadows Universe". This is where most of my comic-based and vampire / Dark Shadows based stories take place. I also love to write about politics (to a point) and NOTHING is off limits. I've got several others stories partially finished and will be adding them to this site sooner or later including a WWE / Dark Shadows crossover, a sequal to the "Abby's European Vacation" story and a few more tales of the Avengers Europe. I don't like posting stories before I finish them, but I'm going to give it a shot and see how it goes. I've also got a fantasy version of the NWA / WCW that I ran and wrote for a little over a year - two shows a week, plus a PPV every month. I'm thinking about posting that up here too when I get the time, so keep eyes open for that. And I guess that's everything that's important for now. I could post some random lists of some type since that seems to be pretty popular here. Okay, I'll do it. My "Top Five" Wrestlers of ALL - TIME (Legends): Arn Anderson, Harley Race, Ric Flair, Blackjack Mulligan & "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko My "Top Five" Divas of ALL - TIME: Ivory, Victoria, Ann Casey, Molly Holly & Sherri Martel My "Top Five" Wrestlers of the Modern Era: Stevie Richards, Christian, Charlie Haas, Joe Hennig (Michael McGillicutty) and Jamie Noble. My "Top Five" Characters to Write: Dr. Druid, Barnabas Collins, Chris Jericho, Joan Rivers & The Miz And that's enough of that. I guess this is enough for a good profile.
