Author has written 3 stories for Yu-Gi-Oh, Avatar: Last Airbender, and Heroes. November 3, 2009 Update: Oh! I am weak! I posted another story when I should have been focusing on the two monsters I already had! Dang it! ...But I'm sorry; I couldn't resist. And I have promised myself that the chapters for my Heroes story, Agents of Destiny, will NOT be as long as the ones for Phoenix Rising and Who Controls the Past Controls the Future. So, therefore, it should be the easiest and quickest to update. My very next update will be for WCtPCtF, though. It has been neglected long enough, and I'm excited for the next part of the story. After that, Phoenix Rising will be updated along with Agents of Destiny. Now, I just have to talk myself out of posting a Harry Potter story that has really been getting to me... August 27, 2009 Update: So, as you may or may not know, college has officially started for me (and I absolutely love it!) However, it is very time-consuming, and lately when I have had time to write, I've either been unable to because of other conflicts or because I was just too tired to even attempt it. I apologize for that, but please note that I am still working on both of my stories slowly but surely when I can. I also want to take the time to add that I will be doing two stories about Heroes when my other stories have really taken off. Both will be AU, I think, so...hooray! It's my newest passion, I guess, so that's why. June 29, 2009 Update: So, I updated Who Controls the Past Controls the Future in record time. I basically sat down and wrote it all out in the span of three days. That's really good for me, people. I think a lot--almost too much--while I write. Disturbed, Nightwish, and the Beastie Boys were great inspirations at this time... I won't really get into my more eccentric collection. I am going to begin writing the next chapters for WCtPCtF and Phoenix Rising simultaneously as I'm still feeling in the mood to write more for both of them. Don't be surprised if WCtPCtF updates first... I know where that chapter is going far better than Phoenix Rising, not that I don't know where I want to go for Phoenix Rising. It's more of an editing issue: what needs to be in the chapter and what doesn't. Also, I wanted to talk a little about some projects I've started and probably will begin after these last two get more involved. From my poll, I am choosing to indulge in a Final Fantasy VII story with a GenesisXTifaXSephiroth triangle. It will be a type of gender bender story but with a huge twist from what you're probably used to reading. I want to make it as different as possible from others I've read, especially from Corresponding Destinies by kitty.has.a.pen. I adore that story and would never dream of taking anything from it just to further my own, but I will admit, here and now, that it is the story that encouraged me to write my own Tifa becomes a SOLDIER fic. I am happy that people are taking an interest in me writing a Harry Potter or Phonebooth story. The problem is...I refuse to write anything unless I have a half-way decent plot with it. Some ideas have popped in my head, but they are either overdone ones or I can't get them to flow out naturally. Phonebooth has been really hard in that respect. In addition, I love the Harry Potter series and wouldn't dare to write anything about it unless I knew all the characters were in-character and the plot is believable. So, I apologize for that. My second fic will be chosen from the following: a Yu-Yu Hakusho story with a YomiXOC pairing (I've been really inspired by the Demon Kings saga), a Sailor Moon story based on the Fractious Friends episode of the dubbed version (will be ScoutsXGenerals), a Princess Nine fic (a "what-if" story revolving around if Keiko failed in establishing a baseball team at the Kisaragi Girls School), or a Van Helsing story (DraculaXOC). I will admit, there has been inspiration to write a Van HelsingXHarry Potter crossover where Van Helsing and Dracula are recruited by the Order and not Voldemort. Would any of you be interested in that? Please let me know all your thoughts, and my poll will still remain open for a while. Hello, those readers curious (or bored) enough to enter the realm of Rogue Requiem. I guess I should give a little bit about myself. Well, I've been a long time reader of fanfiction, this site particularly, and have just decided to finally get in on the action. Admittedly, I rarely reviewed any of the stories I read, not out of laziness but because I kept forgetting what my anonymous review name was called, if I was even allowed to review at all. I promise now that, as I now have a working account and a set pen name, that I will change that habit and give out praise to my fellow authors as they deserve it. It has taken me so long to make an account because I felt that there was no need to have one unless I was able to dish out a story or two. For the longest time, though, I had absolutely no inspiration; a scary thing, seeing as how I actually want to pursue a career as an author someday. Now, however, I am happy to report that that is no longer the case. A warning beforehand: Any stories I write will probably have erratic updates, some maybe taking a bit of a hiatus. This will probably have to do with the fact that I'm a Freshman in college. Wow... I can't believe it's really here! Also, I don't have a lot of time on my hands and have to be in a certain mood to write. Hopefully, getting inspiring reviews will change that, hm? I am currently working to Major in English with an Emphasis in Writing and Publication and Minor in either English with an Emphasis in Literature or Japanese. Right now, I'm leaning towards a Japanese Minor. Therefore, any and all constructive criticism will be greatly appreciated and will be taken into account. Just please don't trash me, or I may go redneck on you. Haha. I am from the United States and I am a Christian. Neither of these things about me are ever going to change. There may be instances where my writing reflects that, being a Christian specifically. I promise that I'll never preach or give a sermon, but the implication of being a Christian will be there. Think kind of like how J.K. Rowling had Christian implications in Harry Potter (even though, more close-minded divisions of my religion insist that she's the Devil herself or something... Whatever, guys...) If that makes you cringe, then please, spare yourself. Although, if a show/movie/whatever I choose to do a story about already has a set religion about it, then I will, for authenticity's sake, write it to the best of my ability. I myself realize how weird it would suddenly be if Kagome Higurashi, raised all her life as a Shinto priestess, suddenly became a Western Christian out of the blue. So, please, enjoy. Favorite Movies: The Dark Knight, Batman Begins, V For Vendetta, The Day After Tomorrow, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Phantom of the Opera, All Lord of the Rings, All Star Wars (Episode III, especially), Phonebooth, Peter Pan (2003 Live Action version), Public Enemies, Transformers I and II, Star Trek, All Pirates of the Caribbean, basically anything Disney (particularly Aladdin), Remember the Titans, The Nightmare Before Christmas, etc. Yes, I am a movie junkie. Favorite Books: The Bible (slowly, but surely, I'm working on it. I'm not gonna lie), Harry Potter, The Inheritance Cycle, The Alex Rider Series, Catch-22, 1984, Flowers For Algernon, The Left Behind Series, Howl's Moving Castle, etc. Please note: I have an intense love/hate relationship with the Twilight series, except to be honest, there really isn't a lot of love involved. I actually hate Edward and Bella, and don't much care for Jacob either. Edward is only good as a sex object (I told you, I won't lie to you) because, let's face it, that's the main reason any female likes him anyway. It is not the new Harry Potter by any means and never will be. The best part of the Twilight movie (besides Carlisle and James. I'm convinced that if the books were about them, it would be a lot better) was the Harry Potter 6 trailer. Though, no offense if you like it. I have many best friends that do. I respect your and their opinion, but this is mine and I'm sticking to it. Favorite Music: AC/DC, American Pearl, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Ayumi Hamasaki, The Beatles, The Black Mages, Brad Paisley, Breaking Benjamin, Breaking Point, Celtic Woman, A Change of Pace, Chris Tomlin, Collective Soul, Creed, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Disturbed, Drowning Pool, The Eagles, Enya, Evanescence, Finger Eleven, Five For Fighting, Foreigner, Gackt, Genesis, Godsmack, Good Charlotte, Guns 'N Roses, Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore, Jars of Clay, John Williams, Josh Groban, Journey, Kansas, Kanye West, Korn, Lecrae, Led Zeppelin, Les Miserables, Linkin Park, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Mess Makers, Michael Jackson, Montgomery Gentry, The Moody Blues, Muse, Nickelback, Nightwish, Nobuo Uematsu, Orange Range, P!nk, Pearl Jam, A Perfect Circle, Phil Collins, The Police, Priestess, Puddle of Mudd, Queen, Rage Against the Machine, Rascal Flatts, Red, The Rolling Stones, Saliva, Santana, Seether, Shinedown, Skillet, Slipknot, Smash Mouth, Smashing Pumpkins, Staind, Styx, Supertramp, Takeharu Ishimoto, Tenacious D, Thousand Foot Krutch, Three Days Grace, Three Dog Night, Toshiro Masuda, Trace Adkins, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Trapt, Utada Hikaru, Van Halen, The Who, Within Temptation, Yes, Yoko Kanno, Yoko Shimomura, ZZ Top, 10 Years, 3 Doors Down, and 30 Seconds to Mars Favorite Games: Kingdom Hearts I, II, and Chain of Memories, Final Fantasy VII, X, X-2, XII, Dirge of Cerberus, and Crisis Core, Dissidia: Final Fantasy, Paper Mario 64, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Guitar Hero I, II, III, World Tour, Animal Crossing, The Sims, Wii Fit, Wii Music, Wii Sports, Lord of the Rings: The Third Age, etc. Favorite Anime/Manga: Card Captor Sakura, Dragon Ball, Z, Absolute Boyfriend, Fruits Basket, Death Note, Yu-gi-oh, Yu-Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, Tenchi Muyo, Tenchi Universe, Tenchi in Tokyo, Naruto, Shaman King, Sailor Moon, Magic Knight Rayearth, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Inuyasha, Full Metal Alchemist, DN Angel, Howl's Moving Castle, etc. Favorite TV Shows: Avatar: The Last Airbender, Heroes, Smallville, iCarly, Drake and Josh, Total Drama Island, Family Guy, House, The Office, Everybody Loves Raymond, King of Queens, Seinfeld, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Dancing with the Stars, Survivor, etc. Favorite Actors/Actresses: Johnny Depp, Heath Ledger, Morgan Freeman, Anne Hathaway, Viggo Mortensen, Julie Andrews, Helena Bonham Carter, Jason Isaacs, Antonio Banderas, Hayden Panettiere, Zachary Quinto Note on Pairings: Most canon pairings I either support or don't have much problem with. What I love about fanfiction, though, is that many authors will find one little bit of evidence that can suggest that another pairing is possible and write a wonderful, completely convincing story about it. I've really broadened my horizons on many pairings because of this site. Case and point: I support both canon pairings and well as pairings so far from canon a satellite can't even find them, as long as they are well written, of course. Therefore, arguing about which pairings are right, wrong, sick, or perfect is like arguing about religion and politics for me. I won't put up with it, and I won't humor whoever wishes to try to start something about it. Freedom of opinion and all that. It's a pointless thing to argue about that neither party walks away with good feelings. It's kind of like this Yugioh: The Abridged Series quote: "Playing a children's card game is kind of like making love. You usually do it on a table, and you always feel deep shame when it is finished."--Grandpa Mouto Hmm... well, maybe it's only like that last part... All Pairings I Support/Read: Harry Potter: HarryXGinny, RonXHermione, RonXLuna, SnapeXHermione, SnapeXLily, JamesXLily, LuciusXNarcissa, LuciusXHermione, GinnyXLucius, DracoXHermione, DracoXGinny, RemusXTonks, SiriusXFemaleOC, Voldemort/Tom RiddleXGinny, Voldemort/Tom RiddleXHermione Van Helsing: DraculaXAnna, DraculaXOC, Van HelsingXAnna Heroes: SylarXClaire, Gabriel GrayXClaire (there IS a difference), SylarXOC, HiroXCharlie, MohinderXEden, Noah/HRGXSandra Batman Begins/The Dark Knight: The JokerXRachel, The JokerXFemaleOC, The JokerXHarley Quinn, RachelXHarvey V For Vendetta: VXEvey Phantom of the Opera: EricXChristine, EricXFemaleOC, ErikXMeg Peter Pan: HookXWendy, HookXMaggie, HookXFemaleOC, PeterXWendy Pirates of the Caribbean: JackXElizabeth, JackXFemaleOC Kingdom Hearts: SoraXKairi, KairiXRiku, AxelXKairi, AxelXAerith, AxelXYuffie, AxelXNamine, RoxasXNamine Final Fantasy VII: CloudXAerith, YuffieXVincent, TifaXSephiroth, AerithXSephiroth, YuffieXKadaj, YuffieXYazoo, ZackXAerith, GenesisXTifa, TifaXLoz Final Fantasy X/X-2: TidusXYuna, WakkaXLulu, RikkuXAuron, YunaXSeymour, PaineXBaralai, RikkuXGippal, PaineXGippal (haven't read any, but it'd probably be interesting) Dragonball Z: VegetaXBulma, GokuXChi-Chi, RaditzXFemaleOC or female character Fruits Basket: TohruXKyo, TohruXMale-Akito, ArisaXKureno, SakiXKazuma, YukiXMachi, HatsuharuXRin, AyameXMine Death Note: LXMisa, LXFemaleOC Yu-gi-oh: YamiXAnzu, Yami BakuraXAnzu, Yami MarikXAnzu, MarikXAnzu, MarikXShizuka, SetoXIsis, SetoXKisara, MaiXJonouchi Yu-Yu Hakusho: YusukeXKeiko, YusukeXBotan, KuramaXBotan, YoukoXBotan, KuronueXBotan Rurouni Kenshin: KenshinXKaoru, BattosaiXKaoru, MegumiXSanosuke, AoshiXMisao, HikoXKaoru, HikoXMisao Tenchi Muyo: TenchiXRyoko Naruto: OrochimaruXTsunade, OrochimaruXSakura, KimimaroXSakura, ItachiXSakura, GaaraXSakura, TemariXShikamaru, NarutoXHinata, TentenXNeji Sailor Moon: ScoutsXGenerals, Serena/UsagiXDarien/Mamoru, UsagiXPrince Diamond, UsagiXSeiya, ChibiusaXHelios Inuyasha: SesshomaruXKagome, SesshomaruXOlder Rin, MirokuXSango, InuyashaXKagome DN Angel: DarkXRiku, DarkXRisa, DaisukeXRiku, DaisukeXRisa Avatar the Last Airbender: ZukoXKatara, YueXSokka, SukiXSokka, TophXSokka, MaiXZuko, KataraXAang, OzaiXUrsa, OzaiXKatara As you can probably tell, I don't like yaoi, yuri, or any gay pairings whatsoever. They do nothing for me, and it's just not how I roll. I won't write them or read them except for very special circumstances, but if you want to, be my guest. I'm not here to judge or say that your tastes are wrong because they're different from mine. You'll never see me ridicule anyone for liking them, either. Live and let live, and all that. I adore crossover stories. Most of the ones that I have found are so amazing, and it's one of the greatest concepts ever conceived by man. One of these days, I'd like to jump on the bandwagon and commit a whole project of writing either Yugioh/Harry Potter, Yu Yu Hakusho/Inuyasha, or something like it. Now, however, I find myself obssessing over the romantic genre of writing and will thus be dedicating most of my time to satisfy this craving I have to write some, maybe many, stories centering around it. Much of my drive and ideas will stem from this, with action, drama, and everything else thrown in, because, really, just plain romance can get kind of tiring. | |||||||||
