Today, which happens to be a very nice day, is a splendid day to tell you about DawnFire and Silver Huntress. They live in a kingdom named Jhomatu (j-ho-MA-too). In this kingdom, there are little purple sparkles that soar through the sky. The people of Jhomatu call these faeries. Faeries are incredible creatures, who fly about and sing songs about watching flowers grow. Faeries particularly enjoy flying by a certain window in the castle by the hill. The faeries are always sure to hear a nice story or two from the two fair maidens who live beyond the window, known only as DawnFire and Silver Huntress.

The faeries have kindly provided us with wonderful descriptions of these maidens, and have been most helpful in transporting the maidens' stories to us, so that we can share them with you.

DawnFire is an elegant lady, who tends to be rather quiet outside of writing. She spends much of her time reading and writing various stories, poems, and books. She values her friends and family highly, as well as her pet rabbits, loves music and writing, as well as singing and sometimes acting, and absolutely adores to write (and read). She plans to be an author. One of her short stories has been published in a literary magazine (Fall 2009).

DawnFire currently has somewhere around 40 fanfics (not all finished, and the list grows by the...month) for Harry Potter, Twilight, Lord of the Rings, HP/LotR crossovers, Warriors, and Tamora Pierce's Tortall series. DawnFire's favorite authors include Gerald Morris, Cornelia Funke, Bruce Coville, Gordon Korman, Diana Wynne Jones, JK Rowling, JRR Tolkien, Tamora Pierce, Eoin Colfer, and Lloyd Alexander. She willingly strays from canon, but sticks to it upon occasion.

Silver Huntress speaks her mind, is extremely mischievous, and laughs a lot. She enjoys playing sports, reading, writing (of course), drawing, painting, dancing, singing, acting, camping, and playing guitar. There is rarely a time when she is serious. Her favorite time to be outside is right after a rain shower in the summer, spring or fall, but during the rain is even better. Also, night time is an incredible time to be outside--especially if it includes bonfires or snowball fights...

Silver Huntress' stories are thought through to ridiculous amounts. She mainly writes original novels, but has four fanfics that she's working on: one Harry Potter fic, one Artemis Fowl/ Harry Potter crossover fic, and two Narnia fics at the moment, as well as a series of Harry Potter oneshots co-written with DawnFire. Her favorite authors include JK Rowling, DJ MacHale, Eoin Colfer, Anthony Horowitz, CS Lewis, and Margaret Peterson Haddix. She sticks to canon as much as possible.

We hope you will enjoy the selection of stories brought to you from the castle by the hill.

Note- DawnFire and Silver Huntress are both attending high school, and, due to that, will not be able to update as frequently as we would all like. With schoolwork, a busy social life, and other activities and responsibilities, time for writing is very limited. Thank you.

Nov. 29, 2009: Ch. 7 of Al Prewett and Ch. 18 of Fawn Silver are half-done and should be up soon. Al Prewett editing may go up soon as well.

Nov. 23, 2009: Labyrinth of Silver Thorns is being completely rewritten. The current story will be taken down December 1, and the new version under the same title will be put up come the new year. Also, the series name has been changed to Roses of Silver and Gold. Thanks!

Nov. 13, 2009: Ch. 17 of Fawn Silver is up!

Nov. 8, 2009: Al Prewett is being severely edited. DawnFire has reached Chapter 3. Editing includes major additions and changes. Edited work will go up once editing has reached the latest update. Updates will continue through editing period.

The Rose Black Potter series spans 8 years, from Rose's first year at Hogwarts to Harry's seventh, and is canon-compliant. Rose's life is cryptic, full of hints concerning who she is, but never telling. A struggle for identity, blood, and power goes on between the lines of Harry's story. Labyrinth of Silver Thorns is being completely rewritten. The current story will be taken down December 1, and the new version, under the same title, will be put up on January 1. Thanks!

The most important details of her past (who she is, who her parents are, where she was born) are a mystery to everyone, Fawn herself included. In 1981 she accepts a task: to protect Harry Potter. For 10 years, that task takes precedence over everything else, over every other promise she's made. But then she begins to see things from far in the past, too far back to be memories...
