About Rui I LIVE!! 19 Oct 2009: "Just You Wait" ch. 58 has five pages and steadily growing! "Why Me" the current version is going to be taken down and a newer version is going up. It'll be totally different so bleach your brain and forget the first version because it was too too confusing even for me and the newer version is, I hope, going to be just as appealing but with less headaches! The reason for my lengthy absence is that I have been blasted by writing, to the point that reading and writing was a sharp punishment that sent me screaming the other way. BUT because I'm trying to get back some of my 'yay!' part of me, I am taking up writing to unload my stress which translates into humor! Name: sb or rui or rui.aya, I rather go by 'rui' because, well, it's a name I want to use as an artist. Age: 20 plus About my fics: The thing that I get inspired by the most is songs. I can hear one and get a spark of an idea or I can hear several and compile an entire epic. Another way I get inspired is by various TV shows (Golden Girls, Nanny, TLC, etc) and by books. It can be an entire story or just a saying that I read and BAM! I'm hooked and my mind is running away somewhere and I'm writing it. --thinks-- What keeps those chapter-long stories alive are the reviews. A spark can burn out quickly unless fanned into a beautiful, glowing flame. . For example? "Lucky Me" kept its lifeline because people 'adored' it. "Just You Wait" climbed my writing charts because of the reviews and I work hard to bring a story that people want to continue to read. Another little detail is when I start normally I don't know where it is going, and then, just like a cat's bite, I get it! And suddenly everything works out! I find out that my best stories always started without a clear finish. It's easier to let a story breathe and create itself rather than me playing mad scientist and trying to get it to do something it doesn't want to. Favorite Anime: Ranma 1/2 (my first anime love and I can still remember the first time I ever watched it -le sigh- it was loaned to me from a friend at high school and after the first few tapes and a movie, I was addicted. Ranma still ranks number one with me because he was my first...that sounds wrong...) Inuyasha (from Ranma's creator and therefore gave it a try. I was impressed! similar characters but this story had a real plot! Not to mention I wanna play with Inuyasha ears! --and take a sledgehammer to kikyo but that's just me--) Trigun (VASH! I have a thing for tall, silly blondes! This is the only anime that I know of that my husband watched all the way through. He's a gamer, I'm an anime lover...go figure.) The Vision of Escaflowne (Have to say that I laoth the ending but like the series as a whole because of Van. I like the interesting vibe between him and Hitomi --yes I support them as a couple--. but I do have the mangas as well and was so--less impressed with them than the anime.) Fruits Basket (KYO! I have the orange cat hat ears, the sadle bag, the key chain, both US released cat dolls and various things. I didn't get to get his Japanese UFO doll! But I like this series because it's funny with a plot although there are some scenes were I always am afraid I'm going to get a cavity.) Hana Yori Dango (My name sake is from this anime. Rui Hanazwa. Rui, I believe I remember this right, means 'affectionate'. TOTALLY opposite of what the character is and I love irony so I took his name as my own -sighs- I wouldn't want him paried up with the main girl, Makino, but I just adore this character and therefore the series) Slayers (Sore wa himitsu desu! need I say more? Okay, maybe I do. Tall, blonde and male character, strong female character and XELLOS! He is a high ranking fave! ) Kaikan Phrase (Santa! I LOVE the drummer of this pretty boy band! It is a great anime! You should really try it! I had to get it from a fansub but it was well worth it.) His & Her Circumstances (Was FINALLY able to see the first episode! Yahoo! Love it so far, the main girl is just a fun character!) Hellsing (Didn't like it so much at first, too much blood and gore, but it has grown on me since then ;) ) Ouran High School Host Club (I love this series. I am all about Tamaki and Haruhi. . Great fun!) The Wallflower (morbid loner girl...hot bishie boy...perfect.) Favorite Manga: Ranma 1/2 (My first and foremost love and the one thing that makes my mom shake her head. She just bought me more Ranma books ! I can't wait till the 38th book is printed in English!) Immortal Rain (Rain and Machika! This goes with the pattern of tall and blonde male that appeals to me. Also, I liked that he was like Vash from Trigun. He was searching and waiting and gets some chick that won't let him go. The difference is the love element between the two travelers. There are a lot more differences and I blame my sister for getting me addicted to this one!) Full Metal Alchemist (I have the first 13 mangas and the entire series to watch I like Ed!) Fruits Basket (Started on the manga after collected all four DVDs. . Have to say that I haven't regretted it! Still my favorite is Kyo... I'm still a fan of Kyo/Tohru pairing) Happy Hustle High (For anyone that loves Lina Inverse from Slayers, the main character in this book is a slightly less tempermental version of her! I love this book because it has pretty guys, a strong female character and, of course, a love/like/hate element) Sensual Phrase (laughs nervously I waited till after I was married to endulge in this series because of its mature nature. I like it because it has the life of not just two or three of the characters shown but all of the Lucifer band and heck--pretty boys! pretty boys! pretty boys!) The Wallflower (Perfect Girl Evolution) (Love the main character Sunako because that was sorta how I was in high school. Slasher films good! Girlyl chick flicks = suicide--which would be bad. And Kyohei! My favorite character! Right after him would have to be Yuki. It's great! I am hoping for Kyohei and Sunako.) Kare First Love (This one isn't very popular either. I found it only in one book store and after buying the first book and reading it through I bought the store out of the rest of them. I haven't been able to find them any where! Sheesh. The next one that comes out I'm afraid I'll have to order it off line. It's from the same person who did 'His/ Her Circumstances'.) From Far Away (OH MY WORD. The main character, Izark, is so DANG -- drools Awesomely hot...beautiful bishie...shakes head interesting dellima he has too with his little friend .) Kare Kano (I love it! . The main girl is hiliarious! . I can't wait to get the complete series. Have to ask for the anime though...I've seen a lot of AMVs of His/Her Circumstances and that's actually what prompted me to buy the manga.) Ultra Maniac (saw part of the anime at the only convention I ever went to. . Just love it! Leo is SOOOO cute!) Vampire Game (my sister got me hooked on this one. I want the Vampire king and the Princess to get together, forget the knight she's just so in love with xp) Absolute Boyfriend (I just picked this up because Ultra Maniac just ended and Happy Hustle High and I wanted to get a new feed of manga sweethearts...so I picked this up and it seemed interesting. It so totally is! . Heh, from the lady who wrote Fushigi Yugi...I think...) Cantarella (I'm scared it's going to go boy/boy but hope it won't cause that means that I'll stop buying it and that would be sad 'cause the guys are so hot! Meow!) Ouran High School Host Club ( I really really like the Haruhi/Tamaki pairing...hehehe...the anime had started me on this--the cheaper price didn't hurt either--and it is so funny and cute!) Hana Yori Dango/Boys Over Flowers (Meow, obviously, I love this series...I bare the name of my favorite character from this series...heheeh) Skip Beat(This main girl made me cry with laughter. She is so friggin' hiliarious!! Def worth the wait each two/three months to pick up this beauty!!) Yurara (Still tryin' to decide on this one but it seems like it could be interesting!) Tail of the Moon (A sappy Kenshin-ish type of manga but it's like one of those poorly written fanfictions that is SO sappy that you can't help but to continue to read it!) Millennium Snow (I wish she would finish this story line! I think it is a very neat play on the whole vampire thing!) Vampire Knight (Yummy Zero!!) Fanfiction Just You Wait: (92.5 percent complete): This is my 'hottest' fanfiction at the moment and it is also my firstEscaflowne fanfiction.O_O It is a ton to fun to write too. This is the second fanfiction that I had a popular original character, Armand, and that is always surprising. I plan on making this story about 50 or so chapters. And the editing part is in the works. The firstsix have been edited by my friend but I only reposted the first one .;;;. I'm sorry! That it is taking so long! Why Me (title subject to change): What every one wants to know is if I'll ever write the promised sequel to "Lucky Me" and this is it. I have a plot in mind but it's hard to start. Needless to say...I want to finish something before I start another 'epic' length fanfiction. Lucky Me Revised (starting) Decided that the first thing to do before doing 'Revamp' is to actually revamp Lucky Me.
