Author has written 12 stories for Beyblade, and Harry Potter.

Evening.

My name's Melissa, but you can call me Mel. Or Melissa. I sort of love being called Melissa now.

The pen is mightier than the sword!

Just quickly, about myself.

I was known as ANGEL-OF-DEATH6 for a very, very long time on this website. Considering i joined up here when i was 12 (and i'm now 19) i felt it was time for a change. The penname just seemed ridiculous and unfitting. It was spawned from my love of Gundam Wing (a love that will probably never really die) but, you know... I've grown out of it a bit.

I just want to live by my pen.

Music is wonderful. It quite possibly one of the only things that makes any sense to me. My favourites, in no particular order, are: The Smiths, Jeff Buckley, The Smashing Pumpkins, Morrissey, Bright Eyes, Tegan and Sara, The Decemberists, Architecture in Helsinki, Blur, Maximo Park, Regina Spektor, Angus and Julia Stone, Kings of Leon, Taking Back Sunday, The White Stripes, Interpol and many, many more.

Life can truly be beautiful.
I can be an extremely pleasant person. Emphasis on the "can be".
I'm probably one of the most sarcastic people you'll ever meet
I am what you would refer to as a "hopeless romantic"
I swear alot.
I sleep in.
I live.

I love to read and write, i don't think i could comfortably live if i couldn't write.

I really, really love Buffy The Vampire Slayer. I think it might actually be the best tv show ever. I think it might actually be one of the greatest things ever.

Anime is good fun, and fanfiction about anime is even better. I enjoy Beyblade stories greatly, and i like the pairings:

Kai/Tyson, but i will happily read Kai/Tala and Kai/Ray
Kai/Hilary
Tyson/Hilary
Ray/OC
Kai/OC
Max/Ray
Max/Miriam
Max/Tyson

And there are probably others but i can't think of them. I don't mind Ray/Mariah in stories together, they can be very sweet together. I just dislike Mariah. Not as much as i dislike Hilary though. She grew on me for a bit, and then I re-watched V Force on YouTube and my eye twitched every time she came on screen. She's Hermione Granger, but on crack.

Fantasy fiction is the basically the best, though i've come to appriciate the classics. The Harry Potter's are prettymuch my all time favourite books. It was totally the end of an era for me when i finished the 7th. Sigh. I await JKR's encyclopaedia with bated breath. Pairings i enjoy are as follows:

Ron/Hermione
Harry/Ginny
Lily/James
Remus/Tonks
Remus/OC
Sirius/OC
Lily P II/Scorpius

Also, just anything Albus-centric. I love Al. He's like, a middle-child syndrome version of Harry without a death sentence on his head.

I respect the canon. Do what you will with the Next Gen and the Marauders, but leave the Trio in peace. Hermione and Draco never shagged, i promise. Nor did Draco and Ginny. That said, i DO like Harry/Draco, but that's because i think Harry's obsession with Draco in 6th year ran a bit deeper than curiosity. Or maybe i'm just partial to the pairing, because i think they have chemistry. Who knows? Anyway, i hate Dramione and Drinny(is that the technical term for the pairing?) so this is probably just me being bias, but whatever. Respect the canon.

My other favourite novels include;

Interview With The Vampire- Anne Rice

Oh, and who can forget my dear, dear Lord of the Rings? Tolkien's non-fictional stuff, well, you should really avoid that if you'd like to avoid a headache, but you've just got to appriciate the EPICNESS of LOTR. I mean, it takes Frodo something ridiculous like 17 years to leave the Shire. And all the poetry is beautiful, and the history and culture of the world is so rich and engrossing. And i love the environmentalist message in it too.

Tales From Earthsea by Ursula Le Guin. Honestly, i just spent 6 weeks in Europe and this is one of the books i brought with me as my comfort and link to home. Ged is one of my favourite wizards ever, right up there with Harry and Dumbledore.

Eragon/Eldest
Almost anything written by Tamora Pierce
Twilight/New Moon/ Eclipse/Breaking Dawn, yadda yadda yadda i love Stephenie Meyer. Though, anyone who calls her the new JKR is SADLY mistaken. JKR is a literary genius, a god amongst authors, and SM cannot touch that, no matter how good looking and charming she makes Edward Cullen out to be.
His Dark Materials triology.
Garth Nix is good too. All Garth Nix. He is amazing and wonderful.

Harry/Hermione shippers scare me. Word. As a good friend of mine told me, "This pairing makes me want to drop-kick babies," That about sums up my feelings toward it.

Some of my other favourite books are:

The Catcher In The Rye (this is my other all-time favourite novel) by JD Salinger
The Picture of Dorian Gray- Oscar Wilde
The Quantity Theory of Insanity- Will Self
I Am The Cheese- Robert Cromier
The Collector- John Fowels
Wuthering Heights- Emily Bronte
Jane Eyre- Charlotte Bronte
Looking For Alibrandi and Saving Francesca- Melina Marchetta

There are about another million books i love too, but soon the list will be ridiculously long.

I like a lot of plays and musicals are good too. William Shakespeare is my homeboy.

Writing poetry is my first love. I have a collection of original poems that vary from terrible to passable and i'm working on creating better, more interesting pieces of art.

I am what i am, and all i want is freedom.

peace.
