Author has written 11 stories for Watchmen, Discworld, Misc. Movies, StarTrek: Deep Space Nine, Hellboy, and Misc. Tv Shows. Not much to say, really. I suppose if I were a flavor, I'd be vanilla. But, hey, at least my imagination's not so hampered (that remains to be seen). I'm a tremendous sci-fi/fantasy geek, though I don't go in for the conventions and dressing up as a Klingon. I am also, to my secret shame, something of a romantic, which I'm sure my stories will bear out. I have gotten hold of a list of 50 Books To Read Before You Die and am endeavoring to work my way through said list. I was pleased to discover that I've already read quite a few of the titles. Here's the list and my progress, for those of you who give a darn: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy by JRR Tolkein (read it) 1984 by George Orwell (read it, depressing as hell) Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (Does Pride and Prejudice and Zombies count? I'm gonna say yes.) The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck (read it) To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee (read it, love it) Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte (read it, better than I expected) Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte (read it, certainly wasn't dull) A Passage to India by EM Forster The Lord of the Flies by William Golding (read it, awesome book) Hamlet by William Shakespeare A Bend in the River by VS Naipaul The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald The Catcher In the Rye by JD Salinger (read it, really don't see what all the fuss is about) The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath Brave New World by Aldous Huxley The Diary of Anne Frank by Anne Frank (read it) Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes The Bible (never read it, probably never will) The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer Ulysses by James Joyce The Quiet American by Graham Greene Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks Money by Martin Amis Harry Potter Series by JK Rowling (read most of them) Moby Dick by Herman Melville The Wind In the Willows by Kenneth Grahame His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman (read them, first book's the best) Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy Alice's Adventures In Wonderland by Lewis Carroll (read it) Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier The Curious Incedent of the Dog In the Night-Time by Mark Haddon On the Road by Jack Kerouac Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad The Way We Live Now by Anthony Trollope The Outsider by Albert Camus The Color Purple by Alice Walker (read it, way better than the movie, and that's saying a lot) Life of Pi by Yann Martel Frankenstein by Mary Shelley The War of the Worlds by HG Wells (read it, love it!) Man Without Women by Ernest Hemingway Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain (read it, way better than Tom Sawyer) Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey Catch 22 by Joseph Heller The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden The Divine Comedy by Alighieri Dante The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde FAVORITE QUOTES: "Better a dish of illusion and a hearty appetite for life, than a feast of reality and indigestion therewith." --Henry A. Overstreet "What is mind? No matter. What is matter? Never mind." --Homer Simpson "What's so great about being lazy, you ask? What if war were declared and nobody showed?" --Garfield | |||||||
