| The Dragon Mage |
Author has written 5 stories for Inheritance Cycle, Earthsea Trilogy, Greek Mythology, and Lord of the Rings. Hi! I am The Dragon Mage, who is silent unless she has something to say, and will then be unable to shut up. I appear to be unable to work on less that four stories at the same time, so while I am always writing updates might not be as frequent as I should make them. I do a lot of original fiction just for me and my friends, but have in recent times become more enamored of writing fanfiction as well as reading it, hence my account here. IMPORTANT THING: for the few people tracking this and anyone who saw it wondering where it went, I have taken my story Storm down. I am sorry about it (pleease don't be angry with me!) but there are reasons. Mostly, its because my computer died recently beyond repair (I spilled something on it. long story) so I lost everything I had written for this and anything else. Second, I'm writing a lot of original fiction and trying to get a novel finished, so chapter fanfiction was too much for me to do while updating regularly, which I utterly failed at for Storm. sorry! Okay, down to business. I have a plethora of favorite fandoms; here goes. My favorite of all things ever is Earthsea, of which there is not enough fanfic, in my Ged-starved opinion. In this fandom my pet obsession is Erreth-Akbe and Maharion, whose relationship is discussed in A Description of Earthsea, and which I have interpreted as a romantic one for a whole lot of reasons; mostly the phrase "heart's brothers" and the decided heir-lessness of Maharion. sometimes the slash just writes itself, I swear. heheee... Discworld I simply adore; you're looking at (or reading, I suppose) a Vetinari worshipper to the end, mostly because of the eyebrow thing. I have a disturbing habit of shouting "Vetinari Eyebrow!" at the top of my lungs whenever anyone raises an eyebrow in my company, and then giggling madly while they look at me funny. Granny Weatherwax and Moist von Lipwig are also awesome. I love Lord of the Rings, but don't consider myself knowledgeable enough in the incredibly detailed canon to write good non-poetry fanfic. I'll read anything, though, if it's good and isn't full of Mary Sues. I enjoy the Silmarillion as well, especially Feanor, who I find fascinating. Any movie done by Studio Ghibli, but particularly Princess Mononoke and Howl's Moving Castle (I like the book too). Princess Mononoke utterly captivated me the first time I watched it; I promptly went off and read the script, and annoy anyone who watches it with me by lip syncing everything. Other fandoms include Good Omens (I don't mind the prevalent Crowley/Aziraphale slash if it's well done), Harry Potter, Ender's Game and all the sequels (I love Ender and Bean, but also cherish a soft spot for Peter even if most people call him a monster), Greek Mythology, especially anything involving either Hades or Odysseus, and the Percy Jackson books. Oh, and I have a lot of friends who write Naruto fanfic, which I like as well. Random stuff: slash doesn't bother me, except for mpreg which I object to on biological grounds if nothing else. If you review me, you make me very very squeeishly happy, and I try to review most of the things I read, in order not to be hypocritical. I like dragons and thunderstorms and being sarcastic and insulting people at school with long words so that they are puzzled! yay. | |||||||||
