RIP John Raiford Kemp Dec. 29, 1950 - Mar. 20, 2009 My dad made me proud, and I intend to do the same for him. So, uh, hi. I've been lurking around FF.net since... the dawn of time. No, really. I must've been like, 9 when I first started wandering around here, looking for HP fanfics. I've come a long way from then (or, I guess by some standards, I haven't come very far at all. OTL). I registered because I wanted to give non-anonymous reviews, and there's an off-chance I'll post some of my own work here. Assuming I get the attention span to actually finish something. My friends all call me Rei. That's pronounced "ray." I'm a Neopagan, namely a Wiccan. I practice solitarily, if only because I have no way to get involved with any covens around here. That's because my mother is Catholic, unaware, and I can't drive myself anywhere yet. I was born on July 28, on a military base in central Texas. I don't have a favorite type of music. My playlist has classical, speedcore, rave music, rap, korean pop, show tunes, big band, whatever. The one music style I can say I'm really not a fan of is R&B. Maybe it's too slow for my speedcore sensibilities? I can draw, and I'm considering designing tattoos. I also like collecting porcelain dolls, gardening, theater (both watching and performing myself), watching ballets, biology, writing poetry, and glasses characters in anime (laughs). I mostly read yaoi fanfics. Sorry. Every now and then, I'll skim through a hetero if I REALLY like the sound of it. I'm open to talking to anyone who wants to send a message to me. You can contact me at my myspace. My Top Wishes for 2009: Get a ferret. Name it Salem, or Renge if it's a girl. About here is where I start listing off my current fandoms and pairing preferences. Shows I'm watching right now: Storm Hawks Tried and true favorite fandoms: Ouran High School Host Club - Seriously, there's nothing I hate about this show, except that it's over. It's just so damn PRECIOUS, and the situations and characters have a deep impact on me even after watching it for a 3rd time. The dub was awesome, and J. Michael Tatum is my new god. Storm Hawks - Trust me, I'm not the only one who finds irony in the fact that although this show was originally made with the target audience of 9-12 year old boys, most of the fans I'm aware of are 14-22 year old girls. This show makes me geek out so much. I don't hate any of the characters (not even Piper, 4rlzugaiz), and that's REALLY rare for me. Sailor Moon - LOLSUDDENTRANSITION. This goes with Yuu Yuu Hakusho as a part of the "Nostalgic Shows that Made Me The Anime Fan I Am Today" section of my mind. It's so damn sparkly. Astro Boy - Ah, delving further and further into Geekland. I can't explain the appeal of it. My friends all laugh at me for it, but dammit, I like Astro Boy. You have no idea how excited I am about the movie coming in October. Like, holy hell. I've been through days and days of bringing myself to the point where I'm not typing in all caps from excitement. Current pairings I enjoy: KyouyaxTamaki (Ouran) (LAEWRLJKRTK DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED. heartheartheart) I have no "Pairing I Don't Enjoy" section. It's too negative. But, as a rule of thumb, I don't like the Raptorsxanyone, ever (from Storm Hawks). Also, I don't usually (note the 'usually') like super-common pairings, for example, HieixKurama, or JakxDaxter. | |||||
