Current Projects: If Anything Can Go Wrong, It Will (TFA)

Greetings and salutations to you all! My designation is Artisan Brown. You may call me Brown.

I have the tendancy to ignore what everyone else is doing and do my own thing...which, ironically, gets me into more trouble than it gets me out of. I'm also horribly insensitive and unintentionally mean, so if I've said anything to offend you, I probably didn't do it on purpose.

A Word to the Wise: Don't review my stories unless you have something to say other then "update soon." I hate this. I find this very annoying. Of course you like the story, else you wouldn't be telling me to update soon. But I don't know why. I like knowing why people like or dislike my story. I will delete any anonymous reviews saying this if you do so. So don't tell me to "update soon," or don't say anything. Likewise, I also hate it when a reviewer asks me to expand something that is clearly established as a oneshot. Don't do this either. I apologize for being so picky, but I absolutely loathe reviews like this.

News (Newest in Bold)

February 6, 2010: I'm as free as a bird! I'm about to publish the next chapter for ACGW. I'm hoping to write more for Star Trek in the future, namely DS9, however I don't have strong enough ideas. Hopefully I'll be able to think of something, but I think I want to see the whole series before I SERIOUSLY start writing with it. (I usually prefer it if my stories line up with canon.)

My Stories

My "home" franchise (a.k.a. the franchise I write for the most) is "Transformers Animated." (Though I frequently explore my options.)

Genres you can find me frequently writing in are epic adventure stories. I also explore tragedy and platonic bonds, as it is a rariety to find a good story along the lines of this on this site and, in fact, on the bookshelves. However, romance is far from my forte; usually it comes out sounding forced or just plain corny. So, no romance for me! Usually. I might do something but, then again, these vague ideas I have aren't very strong. Until I hit a note somewhere, this will be my main focus. Characters in the spotlight are normally so-called minor or underappreciated characters.

Aside from traditional fanfiction, I also partake in the art of writing lists, which unfortunately is prohibited by the guidelines. Luckily we always have forums. Here are the direct links:

Shippings

I like two concrete kinds of relationships. The first kind is when one of the individuals involved constantly denies that they like the other person, while the other is absolutely smitten with them. I also like ones that have constant witty exchanges of dialogue and tensions in their relationship, but in the end it turns out they like each other. More importantly, the relationship has to be dynamic and interesting in order for me to keep coming back to it. They have to be logical and make sense, at least in my mind. One-sided romances are a-okay with me, because I'm cold-hearted and don't want them to be happy.

I'm usually very picky over my shippings, namely I don't care for romance in the first place. The relationship between the two persons involved has to be strong enough for me to feel a connection to it. Again, this is very difficult to achieve. So to say I even like a pairing in a fandom should be considered a miracle.

When I can't find a canon pairing I like, I usually throw together two characters I deem compatable.

Underlines indicates my favourite pairing/s in a fandom.

Transformers Animated

Hot Shot/Red Alert - A pairing that can best be described as "the sensible and the insane." I claimed to have invented this pairing, however it is probable to assume that somebody thought of it before me, or invented it out of pure coincidence. In any case, I did think of it for myself without being influenced by fan art or fanfiction.

Jetfire/Flareup - I did invent this pairing, illogical as it sometimes seems. Consuelo Hidgon seems to like it, though.

Cliffjumper/Rosanna - I also invented this pairing. I did a social experiment to prove that the hothead and the femme smitten with him are compatable.

Bulkhead/Glyph - This is Lee-Chan's invention.

Bumblebee/Sari Sumdac - They mesh together quite well; their friendship could develop into a romance.

Slo-Mo/Nanosec - Yes, I ship human characters. It's a free country. I love their interaction together, it's just so...obvious.

One-sided Perceptor/Red Alert - Consuelo thought of this one, but I prefer it more one-sided on Red Alert's side. And even then, very mild. That's just because I'm more supportive of Hot Shot/Red Alert.

Star Trek related

Julian Bashir/Ezri Dax - Well, Jadzia seemed a little to...up front, not that I didn't like her character. Julian and Ezri as a couple makes more sense to me.

Chakotay/Kathryn Janeway - A disappointment this was never intended to be canon, though I believe this pairing makes more sense than Chakotay/Seven of Nine. Trust me, it works.

Lieutenant Worf/Jadzia Dax - It surprised me, but it was a pleasant surprise. (I don't know. When it comes to figuring out canon pairings, I'm totally oblivious. Probably why most of the shippings I support aren't canon!)

One-sided Doctor/Seven of Nine - Though I don't think I'd be a happy camper if they got together "officially", I believe it's cute and amusing to see the Doctor smitten over Seven and Nine, and not have her feel the same way.

One-sided Julian Bashir/Jadzia Dax - And I do mean, very one-sided.

Harry Potter

George Weasley/Angelina Johnson - Well, after taking everything into consideration, they could work, though logic dictates that there's a high chance it would end tragically; like with a divorce, or suicide, or something. But that would create a lot of conflict in their relationship that they might want to overcome, so who knows? Even my feelings on this pairing aren't set in stone.

Scorpius Malfoy/Lily Luna Potter - Makes more sense to me than Scorpius/Rose. Don't ask why.

Bill Weasley/Fleur Delacour - It took some getting used to, but I do support this.

Past Fred Weasley/Angelina Johnson - I still support this, but, like George/Angelina, my feelings aren't set in stone.

Teen Titans

Beast Boy/Raven - Shapeshifting green kid and gothy demon? Hell yes!

Beast Boy/Terra - Yes, I am one of the few people to support both Beast Boy/Raven and Beast Boy/Terra. There is a fairly good and dynamic basis for both pairings, if you ask me. Either one could happen, though, taking Terra's unfortunate fate into consideration, Beast Boy/Raven is more likely to happen. Though these two almost kissed, you know!

Jericho/Kole - Eh...I don't know why I support this. I just do. And it's more like friendship than a real romance, at the least.

--UPCOMING CHAPTERED STORIES--

If Anything Can Go Wrong, It Will (TFA) They're a team trapped on an asteroid doing what everyone hates doing: work. But apparently they're stuck, so they might as well make the best of this situation. Follow the dysfunctional adventures of Rodimus Prime, Ironhide, Brawn, Red Alert, and Hot Shot, as they deal with their personal struggles and the threat of a war with Decepticons. Initials: ACGW. Work in progress.

Sari, Wrong Planet (TFA) All Sari wanted to do was help out. She didn't expect that she'd be the one to find that plasma dyamic thruster. And she certainly didn't expect to get pulled halfway across the galaxy, to the Autobot colony of Iacon. And she certainly didn't mean to let go of the damn thing! Finding herself stranded, Sari dubiously hides her techno-organic origins, and has to band together with five Autobots who are - likewise - stranded, having lost communication with the outside world. Can she trust them? Or, when the Decepticons come calling, will they hand her over and think nothing of it? Why is Hot Shot whining about JaAm? Initials: SAWP. Vaguely plotting...working title. Anybody have any better ideas, just shout.

Divide (TFA/Movieverse Crossover) Alternate Universe on both parts. For Transformers Animated's Cliffjumper, Blurr, Ironhide, and Brawn, life sucks. They're all unhappy with their jobs, they're dealing with traitors and recent traumatic experiences having taken place in their lives, and all they really want to do is forget about it all; maybe take a vacation. They should be more careful what they wish for. The four Autobots are abruptly dragged into another dimension, where the war is all the more real, and there is no Cybertron to call home. Can they learn to band together and get back to their own universe, with the help of the Autobots of this strange world? It won't come easy. This universe's Megatron is bent on capturing the four Autobots. He wants to know how they got here, and how he can journey to their home world...Initials: None. On Hold, for now.

The Last Autobot (TFA) Semi-Sequel to "The Resurrection Effect." Billions of years into the future, the universe is a terrifying and deadly place to live. Almost all intelligent (and heroic) life has been wiped out by the Decepticons - including humans, neutrals...and Autobots. But they've overlooked five of their targets. Rodimus Prime, Jetstorm, Warpath, Perceptor, and Blurr have survived under randomized circumstances; all lonely, all carrying the weight of their losses on their shoulders, all struggling to survive. Rodimus comes to a horrid realization. Their way of life has ended. It's time to disregard the rules, for now the Decepticons must be vanquished once and for all. Little does he realize that Blurr has other plans. The amnesic Autobot is struggling to make sense of the days of the war, trying to figure out what the Fallen and an Autobot named Cliffjumper have to do with his position...it certainly doesn't help that a certain ninja-ghost seems to be stalking him. Initials: TLA. Pondering.

--UPCOMING ONESHOTS--

At Odds With Each Other (9) 2nd installment in the "Odds and Evens" universe, sequel to "An Even Fight." 7 hated him. She hated everything about their snide leader, so why was she defending him? Start date unknown.

Our Days Are Numbered (9) 3rd installment in the "Odds and Evens" universe, sequel to "At Odds With Each Other." There was something about 6 that intriged 2. Perhaps he knew more than he was letting on. Start date unknown.

My Original Characters

Name: Stance (Transformers Animated)

First Appearance: The Resurrection Effect

Allegiance: Autobot

Function: Law and communications

Altmode: Earth altmode is an SLR McLaren, with the Autobot insignia on both doors. Cybertronian altmode is a futuristic limousine.

Physical Characteristics: Stands at about twenty-five feet. Has yellow optics, commonly covered by a semi-transparent black visor. Armour is brown and mustard yellow. The Autobot insignia in on his forehead. Has the air of someone of great importance, or great arrogance.

Weapons: Has unique balancing and hand-to-eye coordination skills. This allows him to remain stationary, even if the floor beneath his feet is jostling wildly.

Voice Actor: Brent Spiner

"You break the law, I break your spirit."

Profile: On the jerk scale, Stance probably ranks somewhere just below Sentinel Prime. But it isn't as though he's a jerk on purpose. With a keen sense of right and wrong, Stance has sworn to enforce justice amongst the corrupt Autobot rank. He holds a personal grudge towards Shockwave for tricking him a long time ago under his guise of Longarm, and allowing himself to fall for it. Aloof and uptight, some 'bots might view Stance as being more of a hindrance and a help. He's closed-minded, with little to no imagination, and an attitude to match. Stance believes that he is set apart from the others Autobots. After all, they run wild. Stance stays calm and reasonable in a tense situation. But he wasn't always like that. No, in his younger years, Stance was a street performer struggling to make a living. That's until he befriended the young Ultra Magnus and soon found himself rising to the top. In present times, Stance is not only a lawyer and an assistant to Ultra Magnus, he fancies himself as a private investigator. Too bad he usually catches the wrong guy. Sure, Stance is a valuable ally. But it comes with a price.

Weaknesses: A mean streak, a reluctance to think outside the box, lack of firearms and other weapons that cause damage, and an aloof personality that inhibits him from making allies easily.

Name: Kyou Nieli (SRMTHG)

First Appearance: Chiro of the Shuggazoom Suburbs

Age: 40

Allegiance: Shuggazoom City

Occupation: Mechanic

Physical Characteristics: If Kyou lived on Earth, he probably would be classified as Japanese. His eyes are chocolate brown, skin is unnaturally pale. Clothes are stained and do not fit him properly. He's very lanky and, at times, has the appearance of a homeless man.

Voice Actor: Rick Mercer

Profile: Kyou is your all-around nice guy who's had a pretty tough life. He grew up normally with his three sisters. That is, until a boating accident killed two of them and the oldest died in childbirth. His parents – distraught – were deemed unable to care for Kyou anymore. Having no where else to go, he was enrolled in the Facility; a tough boarding school that's the last place you want to end up. The only upside? He met his future wife there. In present times, Kyou has a job as a mechanic. And though he's not a very good one, Kyou remains ever optimistic, like he's been so every day of his life. He's a selfless individual who may be a bit mischievous, perhaps reckless at times, but in the end all he wants to do is have a laugh. That's probably one of his big faults. He doesn't know when to slow down. He just wants to live it up!

Weaknesses: Laughing at things that aren't very funny, unintentionally causing harm, and charging into a situation without any thought of what may happen.

Name: Ren Nieli (SRMTHG)

First Appearance: Chiro of the Shuggazoom Suburbs

Age: 39

Allegiance: Shuggazoom City

Occupation: Has a degree in art history, however is a stay-at-home mom.

Physical Characteristics: Is Caucasian with very dark brown hair that she wears loosely around her shoulders. Vivid green eyes, but has purple bags under them due to lack of proper sleep. Fancies simple dresses that appear to be from the 1950s.

Voice Actor: Drew Barrymore

Profile: Ren is the other end of the spectrum of her husband, Kyou, which is probably a good thing. She balances out the duo. As a matter of fact, she likes to balance everything. Militaristic in nature, her experiences at the Facility have left her bitter towards her birth parents and resentful that she never went anywhere besides down. By marrying Kyou, Ren has pretty much doomed to spend her life caring for her three kids. Not that she isn't grateful. Just a little unsatisfied, which might explain her grumpiness. But she has her moments of fun in the sun, when she spends time with her family. You just have to remind her often enough to keep her happy.

Weaknesses: Unsatisfied and angry, hot-headed, and obsessed with perfection.

Name: Sunni Nieli (SRMTHG)

First Appearance: Chiro of the Shuggazoom Suburbs

Age: 10

Allegiance: Shuggazoom City

Occupation: Student

Physical Characteristics: Like his name suggests, has a constant happy expression, even if it is more serene then gregarious. Has inherited his mother's green eyes. Charcoal-coloured hair from his father's side. He resembles his brother, Chiro, in appearance.

Voice Actor: Tara Strong

Profile: Sunni may be the quietest in his family, but is also the happiest. He spends most of his time with his controlling sister, Nahara. He takes his role as the elder twin very seriously, and is very protective of her. Sweet, kind, but also very timid, Sunni likes pressing flowers and spending time in nature. His school life is pretty normal. He has some friends, but still watches Nahara playing hopscotch from a distance. Sunni's even-tempered nature can sometimes get him in trouble. He's often accused of having no emotion, despite the smile playing at his face. It is extremely uncharacteristic to find him unhappy, in any form. Perhaps Sunni does mask his true feelings behind a smile. But his truly selfless nature keeps him from over-reactions and negative emotions.

Weaknesses: Physically incapable of defending himself, is a complete suck-up, blindly follows his sister and brother into danger, and doesn't know when to say “no.”

Name: Nahara Nieli (SRMTHG)

First Appearance: Chiro of the Shuggazoom Suburbs

Age: 10

Allegiance: Shuggazoom City

Occupation: Student

Physical Characteristics: Blue eyes, flat, greasy black hair going to her shoulders, and dresses herself in skirts and warm sweaters. Has hand-me-downs from her older brother, so occasionally her wardrobe is suited for a tomboy.

Voice Actor: Tara Strong

Profile: Nahara can fake sweetness, yes. Sometimes she actually means it. One thing is certain: this opinionated little girl will tell you the truth and nothing but the truth. Her deceitful nature sometimes gets the better of her. Sometimes it's not even on purpose! Nahara's fascination with lies and human nature cause her to take advantage of every opportunity to better her situation. She treats her twin, Sunni, as a mere servant, though she does genuinely care for him. Nahara likes to pick arguments with her older brother, Chiro, without any regard for how he may be feeling. But when she's In a good mood, she acts like the girl she is at heart: playing with dolls, having heart-to-heart chats with her brothers, and dreaming of being a princess.

Weaknesses: Hot-headed, acting on instinct and not thought, and not trusting the right people, especially in times of danger.

Name: Lanche (SRMTHG)

Aliases: Avalanche, Lanny, Patch, Pirate Patch, Skit, the Crow, Lucky

Gender: Female

Age: 25 (approximately)

Physical Characteristics: A soft green Robot Monkey, with a darker patch around her right eye. Often has jewelry on her tail, and has a silver band on her right ankle. Picture: Link

Appearances: Chasing Cars, Unexpected Temptations

Voice Actor: Grey DeLisle

Personality: Lanche fancies herself a pirate, and she very much has the demeanor of one. She's greedy, she's selfish, she's a complete coward who runs away at the first signs of a fight, and she chronically lies and steals. And like a pirate, she likes treasure or any other “shiny objects.” Lanche, however, is very sociable and hates to be left on her own. (Or left to defend herself.) Although she can be brave when she has to be, she's very skittish and it takes a long time before she learns to trust someone. She's henceforth not very loyal to anyone who tries to establish themselves as a leader, but will stick with them if they're a good fighter. Her hygienic habits are slovenly, but mentally she's focused and organized. Finally, Lanche is very observant and aware of her surroundings, never forgetting a place she's visited. She's very resourceful if you're traveling somewhere.

Likes: Adventure, treasure, anything that's valuable, the black market, stuffy or possessive people, being in charge of an expedition, having a bodyguard, feeling superior, socializing, security, spa treatments, green tea, and geography

Dislikes: Those who make fun of/point out the existence of her patch, the colour of her fur, most dairy products, being forced to give up her treasure, being poor, toads, having no way of defending herself, silence, a dull life, being forced to stay in one place, being smacked or rebuked, getting caught when she's trying to sell a stolen object, and leopard print pants (long story)

History: Lanche is a failed experiment of the Alchemist's who prematurely escaped the confines of her stasis pod. Finding herself alone and defenseless – and being totally unaware of any others like her – she set out to find her reason for being. Instead, she found a land full of undiscovered treasure. For the next few years, Lanche spent her time traveling and picking up what valuables she could find. It was inevitable that she'd get caught up in the dastardly underworld of Shuggazoom. The Black Market.

She soon rose to fame after finding several rare objects, ones that were supposedly mythical in nature or simply lost. Lanche traveled across the world, from snow mountains, to the interiors of the city, to the depths of the jungle. Her adventurous nature drove her to try new, unheard of tactics when it came to treasure hunting. Not only that, she liked the attention and the life of luxury that came hand-in-hand with her rather dangerous life style. She's understandably been the center of many assassination attempts. All of which have failed, for the most part due to sheer luck. Lanche has also had quite a few partners and even an entire crew. Yet she was never a good leader and has been abandoned several times. During a routine auction she was attending, she met another Robot Monkey who called himself the Doctor. They soon became partners.

What Lanche dreams about is finding the ultimate treasure. When she remembers the laboratory, she sets out, convinced that what she seeks is out there. Nobody has heard from her since.

Other: Lanche has no weapons, but she can easily improvise using readily avaliable objects. Then again, she's never been one to fight. Lanche is also skilled in mathematics and astronomy, both of which are essential for rather primitive navigation techniques. So, when she disappeared, it was believed that she was killed, rather then the fact that she got lost. Lanche never gets lost. Her name is derived from the word Avalanche – which was her original designation. Only, she didn't like the “Ava” part, so she shortened it to just “Lanche.” She speaks with a Jamaican accent, and says “aye” a lot.

Name: The Doctor

Aliases: Doc

Gender: Male

Age: Has lived for 41 years, however is biologically twice that

Physical Characteristics: He's a white Robot Monkey with black eyes and numerous scarring along the left side of his face. The doctor had as metal band around his right foot, in comparison to the band that is on Lanche's right. In appearance, he's in his mid-sixties, hence he has a bit of greying. Though he's probably much younger then that. Picture: Link

First Appearance: Unexpected Temptations

Voice Actor: George Clooney

Personality: The Doctor is everything a doctor should be. Candid. Callous. Calculating. Attentive to details and strictly black-and-white. He is often subject to depression and can be found wallowing in his own self-pity half the time. He's incredibly talented in the medical field, and yet not very good at anything else. Though he fancies himself as an artist, his paintings are erratic and have no emotional meaning to them. (Due to his lack of.) Like his partner, Lanche, he doesn't like to fight, and is a bit of a coward. He uses threats to gain what he wants, making him occasionally sadistic. The Doctor is very much a traditionalist and enjoys anything that's old fashioned. Graceful in social situations, the Doctor helps balance out the duo, and always seems to say the right thing.

Likes: Anything old, exploring ruins, researching new medical techniques, reading classics such as Moby Dick and David Copperfield, anything by Charles Dickens, a balance between a life full of excitement and a life full of simple things, criminal psychology, peace and quiet, gossip, old horror movies, listening to the radio, classical music, milkshakes, luxury, automobiles, technology, and artwork.

Dislikes: Conversion, the unknown, holidays, computers, modern television, dancing, children, frivolous pursuits, most humans, tacky decorations, crowded places, snow and cold weather, trying to interpret hieroglyphs, and Lanche’s unhygienic habits.

History: The Doctor is Lanche’s mysterious partner. Not much is known about him except that he’s a very, very early prototype of the Alchemist’s, made before Lanche and the Hyperforce. Which explains his age. He’s kept a certain distance from everyone else, instead making observations from the sidelines, Soon, the Doctor integrated into the underworld, and he met Lanche by a sheer chance encounter. Shocked at meeting someone else like him, the Doctor and Lanche soon became excellent partners-in-crime. While she mainly works away from their home deep in the jungle, the Doctor is usually in the background. They are rarely, if ever, out of contact. However, because of the advantage that comes with being a secret, the Doctor is legally deceased on the records, and hasn’t left their base for fifteen years.

Other: The Doctor doesn’t have the same immortality that the rest of the Robot Monkeys has. He is subject to aging, and is twice as old as he really is. Because of his age, his fighting capabilities, as well as his agility, is extremely limited.
