About me..

I'm originally from Michigan, lived in NC for a couple of years, and am now a resident of NJ! However; I'll always be a U of M fan at heart! Go Wolverines! I'm engaged, no kids, and have an overwhelming desire to open a business to help young kids in math and science. (Don't even get me standing on the soap box of how I feel we need to do more for our school age children! However, if there's anybody out there that wants to vent along with me, you know where to find me! I'll even scoot over on my soap box for you! LOL).

Somebody asked me about types of music I liked, so I figured I would just post it. I honestly like all types of music, but I am definitely a rock girl! My favorites on my IPOD are Breaking Benjamin, Evan's Blue, Hinder, Burn Season, Adema, Seether, Sick Puppies, Black Eyed Peas, and others. I also love 60s and 80s music. But, honestly, I really will listen to just about anything - along as it doesn't tell about how some guy thinks his tractor is sexy! LOL!

~*~ Where Have I Been??~*~

First let me say that I am humbly honored with the amount of people who have shot me a little PM, or review reply, with very thoughtful and pleasant encouragement and support! When I first started putting fingers to keyboard to write out the random scenes that were playing in my head, I never would have thought people would enjoy them. *giggles* So when I say that I'm grateful, I truly, from the bottom of my heart, mean it! The amount of support and encouragement I have found here at the SVM community is astounding! If I could reach out an give you all a hug, I would!! Thank you again!!

So where have I been and do I plan to continue the stories???

Some of you already know that I'm a teacher, well I guess I should say 'was a teacher'. At Christmas time I moved to a different state and since then things have been hectic. After some major thought, and huge support and encouragement from my fiance, I decided to not to return to the classroom. I have always wanted to open my own business and felt like this was my chance being handed to me. One I may never have had the chance again to get. So I took it!! I am the official co-owner of a new education business, BUT (there's always a but..) we are still in the funding start up process. The economy has many resources on lock down, so my time has been wrapped up in trying to start things on our own while pursuing alternative avenues. On top of that, I decided to switch my Masters from Geoscience to an accelerated degree in Business Management to get it completed in a years time. Things have been crazy, and I love every stressful moment of it because I'm finely pursuing my dreams!!

As for the story updates... I DO plan on continuing them, or at least wrapping them up. I've sat down a couple of times to start writing -- when I did find a spare moment-- but, I think the characters are pretty pissed at me, therefore not talking to me!! UGH! I told them I was sorry, but they don't seem to care! Not to mention, I want the historical facts that I do use in PUtP to be correct, which takes time to research. However, I'm determined to finish these!! I honestly don't like things in my life to be uncompleted, so I'm really determined to find the time -- and inner voice -- to do this!!

Thanks again for all the support and understanding!! I have had some of the most wonderful emails come my way, and because of that, I'm even more determined to finish this for you all!!

How did I find FF?

I first began my obsession with SVM through True Blood. After the second episode I began reading CH's series, and OMG did that change some perspective for me! By mid-Season 1 of TB, I became a die hard Eric fan! Seriously, how can you not!! By the beginning of January, I had got through all eight books and was searching for something else to the fill the void until book 9 came out. I was, and still am, in awe of all the talent just exploding from this site.

Picking Up the Pieces:

This is my first Fan Fic writing! The idea came to me after going through some old writings from my grandmother (who recently passed away). She had met my grandfather by securing herself the last seat in his car during the rations of WWII.

Some of the information that I've been putting in the story is factual. Willow Run and the River Rouge plant are real. The former has changed hands a few times over the last half century and will finally close down next year. The school that Sookie went to (Michigan State Normal School) is also real. It is now known as Eastern Michigan University and is where I graduated from. MSNS was the first Normal school outside of the 13 original colonies and opened in 1853. Normal schools were created to train high school graduates to become teachers. The roads, the lakes, Veronica Lake the Hollywood actress/sex symbol, and some of the other minor details are authentic. If there is ever any question about some of the details, please let me know. Researching is fun, yet very time consuming! I'm going to work very hard on getting chapters out as soon as possible. But, work and grad school will start to eat up a lot of my time come mid-August. Please bare with me!

New Story!! Domino Effect

Do you ever feel like there isn't enough hours in the day?? I certainly do! Sometimes I feel like that damn rabbit in 'Alice and Wonderland' who is always obsessed with time! (giggles) Oh well. I do what I can do!
