Author has written 10 stories for Twilight, Fruits Basket, and Naruto. Due to the new rules that have been pressed onto this website, I shall not be updating any of my 10 stories as of now. To explain, I would first like to call out to the Fanfiction.net creators, pleading for them to reconsider the fresh acts of Improved ban, moderation, and filtering. I feel as though the entire concept of "Unleash Your Imagination" is being tainted; for how are we supposed to fully "unleash" and express ourselves if given these limitations? Even the word filtering gives off the expression that many wonderful and creative imaginations are going to be sifted through and purged of details you do not appreciate. How is this in any way freedom to write and unleash our creativity? You explain that in 2002 the title "MA" was removed from this website, and yet you wait a total of 10 years to decide that what we are writing is to vulgar, violent and sexually explicit. I ask you why? If you are finding material that surpasses the category of M, then wouldn't it be so much simpler to bring back the old rating instead of going through thousands of stories in search of ones with too many cuss words or sexual situations? Secondly, as an adult, I can be almost certain that if users are reading stories that fall under the rating of M, then they know perfectly well what sex is (and violence) and are more than mature enough to read stories containing such. The new rules are not only a ridiculous waste of time and energy for you, but will only result in you losing many members who feel the same as I do. Yes, we thank you for the image manager and certainly, we appreciate the longer summaries, but I implore you to change you mind about the rating system. It is difficult to understand why so many changes are being applied to this website at once, but I feel as though you (The creators and monitors) are corrupting the name of a website which has been meant for the use of the imaginative, and has given readers and writers the freedom to express themselves for years. So to my dear readers and supporters, whom I assume will be very upset as I am writing this: Please stay strong. My stories have been updated, here with me, and if the rules to this site change I will be more than happy to continue entertaining you. I ask all who reads: Will you stand up for the stories you write and love? If not, they will be taken away anyhow. Please pass the message on.
