I’m sixteen years old, but have been told I’m mature for my age since I was too young to know what mature meant. I live in a small town in South Australia, about an hour from the city. I love it here, it’s my home town, but as soon as I save up enough, I’m moving to the US. Most probably New York, since it’s been my dream to live there for as long as I can remember. Music is my joy, my friends and family are my world and I would die without either of them. My music choices, among other things, consist of mainly Glee, Olivia Newton-John, Idina Menzel, Sara Ramirez, Bing Crosby, Elvis, and musicals; my favourites are Wicked, Grease, Hairspray, Rent and Spring Awakening. My Shows My Ladies My Ships Writing is my life. Everything I see I think of how it can be put into words, as if I am constantly writing a story in my head. I also write fanfiction, as is expected of a fangirl like myself. I also like to read. As a writer, I am inspired greatly by other writers. My favourite authors are Kathy Reichs and Jacqueline Wilson, two very different genres, but equal talent. My favourite books are Lola Rose by Jacqueline Wilson, the Temperance Brennan series by Kathy Reichs, and the Lorien Legacies series by Pittacus Lore. I look up to my mum and Olivia Newton-John, because they are both such amazing and inspiring people. I love to take photos, but I don’t call myself a photographer. I just constantly torture my friends and family, and love taking hipster-like photos of the sky, the setting sun, the moon, and the stars. I’m far from stick thin, and I don’t have much self confidence, but I’m hoping that one day I’ll have the courage to change that. I’ve wanted to be a mum since forever. I’ve had my baby names picked out since I was twelve. I don’t intend to get married. I believe that marriage is an antiquated ritual, and I see no reason to tie yourself to someone for life. I’m an individual, and I’m unique. I live my life trying to break free from the binds that society has set us, and I don’t plan to stop any time soon.
