Hi there! My name is Katie and I live in Texas. I do say "y'all," but I do not own a horse, jsyk.

Photography and reading are my two favorite things in the world... Well, aside from my dog Daisy, of course.

So I guess I'm sort of new here... I read Twilight in January of 2009, found fanfiction in February, and now I suppose I'm what you'd call "obsessed." I took the plunge into writing with the For the Love of Jasper contest, and I'm still a little freaked out about that. I follow the zygote way of life, which is to say I don't enjoy drama. I'm a glass half-full kind of girl and I like it that way.

So... loves and hates. I love smart stories with depth, but I hate when people sound pretentious. I love Edward but hate when he's written such that there's no reason to like him. Just because he's Edward doesn't mean we should love him blindly. I love Jasper but I hate when he's a caricature with an accent who says "darlin'" every other word. I love Emmett but I hate when he's an immature oaf instead of intelligent and loyal with a great sense of humor. My newest love is Garrett, and I hate that he's underappreciated. I love characters with flaws but they must be redeemable.

I love this fandom most of all for the friends I've found – I never expected to and that has been the biggest surprise and reward.

Justaskalice and Lucette21 are the loves of my life. They're both my betas and I love them for all of their patience and support.

Oh yeah... and I'm a lover not a fighter. ;)
