The Tale of the Overly Optimistic Wannabe-Writer

Once upon a time, there was a girl who liked fanfiction a little too much.

First she just read it. And read and read and read.

Then she had to try writing it.

It was fun.

Then she had a baby.

Still, moments in which other people's characters could be sent gallivanting about in new stories were found--few and far between, but there were some updates. You know, every three months or so.

Then she took a job that moved her to China, and never wrote again.

The End.

Not! Well, I hope not. But so far, I have found no time for writing. Literally. I can read while I nurse the baby, but typing one-handed is just too troublesome.

Yep.

Sorry! Maybe I'll get struck by a bolt of lightning that gives me morning-person powers or something, and I'll begin to rise with the sun to write fanfiction while my boys sleep. Eheh. In the meantime, thanks for visiting, and for goodness' sake go find one of those incredible authors who actually updates to get your fanfiction fix!

May 2012 update, or Why I'm Not Updating:

Guys, I have a full-time job. I have a husband and an 18 month old son. I live in a very foreign country where I don't speak the language and doing basic things like acquiring groceries or paying the utilities bill takes double or triple the time and energy it takes in more familiar/navigable environments. I don't have my own computer, a stable internet connection, or free time to myself. I love writing, and I love my life, but unfortunately the latter is mutually exclusive with the former 98% of the time.

I love reviews. Love them. I read every single one several times over and get so inspired I sacrifice things like sleep and lunch to try to put together another chapter on one of my stories because I truly enjoy the writing and I'm addicted to the feedback. So please don't give up on me. None of my stories are abandoned. They're just... really slow...
