Author has written 60 stories for Rainbow Brite, Doctor Who, Kim Possible, Danny Phantom, Teen Titans, W.I.T.C.H., Winx Club, WordGirl, W.I.T.C.H., Trollz, Monster High, Sintel, Angel's Friends, and Wreck-It Ralph. I'm a 58 year old man who loves cartoons. My modern favorites are Kim Possible and Danny Phantom, W.i.t.c.h. (although I prefer the comics to the cartoon), Winx Club and Growing Up Creepie. And now add Ruby Gloom and WordGirl to the list. New: Trollz, Angel's Friends, and Monster High. I also like Rainbow Brite from the mid-1980s. In fact, it's likely I'm the world's oldest male RB fan. : ) Before that, you have to go all the way back to the Wacky Races, from 1969. Sep 2012 My new obsession is the Blender-made short film Sintel. It's a CGI high fantasy about a girl and her dragon. Very few people know of it, but it's well worth watching. It's on YouTube and the official website w w w dot sintel dot org. Aug 2010 I've rediscovered Trollz and am surprised at the writing. There is a story arc for the entire 27 episodes, and each 3 episodes is a mini-arc. The continuity is very tight, and there is a coherent history for the universe, along with odd cultural and technological differences from 21st century America. In an effort to get more interest in Trollz, I've been taking screen caps and redrawing things from them, like the planet globes found in the mall, the posters and maps seen at school, and collecting the info about the magic system. A lot of it has been put up on my deviantArt account, under the name Penumbrus. I am a writer and story editor for the comic book company Shanda Fantasy Arts. I also do letter columns and other odd projects. I've had seven stories illustrated and published to date. I've also had one book published; A Guide to the Commonwealth, a reference work to Alan Dean Foster's Commonwealth Universe. He dedicated "Phylogenesis" to me and my collaborator. Recently, my work on the Voynich Manuscript was cited in a book about it (I even made the index). It's been remarked upon about how quickly I update stories. The reason is that I don't put anything up until the story is finished. Then I post a chapter a day (hey, I get to have a LITTLE fun when I write a cliffhanger...). Fanfiction pet peeves: Holding a story hostage for reviews. This is not being a writer, it's being a hack. A writer writes for the joy of it, and to entertain. A hack writes for the pay (at ff net, it takes the form of reviews). Doing so guarantees I'll stop reading and not leave one. Stories posted as huge blocks of text without formatting. I won't even start reading it. The word is "vile", not "vial". A vial is a small glass container you can put something vile (i.e. nasty) in. The expression is "another THINK coming", not THING.
