Author has written 8 stories for Harry Potter, Hey Arnold, Firefly, and Castle.

I've been writing fanfiction since I was fourteen. Seven years later, I'm still writing it. It makes me giggle. I don't really take it seriously but it's a good exercise for writing muscles when I can't get original stuff out.

My guilty pleasure is well-written Draco/Hermione fiction with a hint of the cliche, so of course I had to try and write one myself. New guilty pleasure? Severus/Hermione. Don't judge. They have a lot in common.

I like one-shots a lot because I find it hard to alter the plot of a story I really like...I feel like I'm betraying the canon. But I manage it once in a while. There are so many one-shots I want to write, actually. There's about one or two moments in every House episode that I'd like to capture and it's just impossible. (And now in Castle, too. Gah.)

I go to the most prestigious public institution for higher education in the world. I wouldn't say I love it to pieces anymore, but the friendships I've made there are definitely priceless. I particularly like La Burrita, my favorite burrito place in the world, with the best salsa in the universe. I'm studying English (major) and Anthropology (minor) and yes, I've switched my major twice now; I entered as an English major, switched to Astrophysics, and this semester, changed back to English. I'm not sure what I'll do with it, but it's what I love.

I love Harry Potter, in case you haven't noticed. I'm an exercise-a-holic, and I recently ran my first half-marathon in two hours, eleven minutes. Gym? Hiking? Beach? And, most importantly, running? Yes, please. These days I'm focusing on lifting heavy things--my new obsession.

I have a wonderful boyfriend that I love to pieces. He's my real-life knight in shining-red-and-khaki, and yes, utterly Gryffindor. He complements my Slytherin side perfectly.

CURRENT PROJECTS:

The Quiet Life of Severus Snape...Novel length nonsense planned. Current project and all that I'll probably focus on for the time being. Severus/Hermione. He didn't die in the Shrieking Shack because she deigned to save his life, and he's not too chuffed about it. When she returns to Hogwarts to teach Potions seven years later, he's not too chuffed about that, either. But her behavior has changed, and he's curious about what happened to the female third of the golden trio to damage her so. Originally started posting on Ashwinder.

A Concerted Effort to Disagree...As of 7/12/2011, this story is officially ON HIATUS, though it hasn't been updated in some time. (Yes, I do sincerely plan to finish it someday! I promise!) Novel length; since I've just gone over 60,000 words now and it's nowhere near finished, I'm going to hedge a bet that this'll end up 75,000 words or more. A complete utter Dramione fic. I'm trying to keep it realistic. Everything that happened up to about halfway through the Half-Blood Prince is accurate, but afterwards these things are different: Dumbledore is still alive, but ailing from his withered hand and the curse that continues to spread. Snape remains. Voldemort has been driven out of Britain, returned to his half-life state. (But if you think I'm going to tell you how without reading the damn story, you've got another thing coming.) Harry, Ron, and Hermione return to Hogwarts for their seventh year. Hermione has been appointed Head Girl, and of course, serving as her opposite, Draco Malfoy has been chosen. They are unsure whether or not he joined the ranks of the Death Eaters during the previous year, but he is a suspicious character. The two spend too many hours together, get drunk, and end up shagging. No, actually, that's not how it happens. But you'll just have to read it and find out. Not all that boring, I promise, and though obviously Malfoy will eventually no longer be in-character (there's no way an in-character Malfoy would fall for Hermione) I'm keeping him as close to an evil git as possible for romance to blossom.

Bereft of Hope, the Pink Bow Prevails...As of 7/12/2011, this story is officially ON HIATUS, though it hasn't been updated in some time. A novella, probably 50,000 words or less. It's Hey Arnold!, don't hate, appreciate. Best part of being a 90s kid was that Nickelodeon didn't suck, and I am so so so so so so sad that we never saw a future Arnold and Helga together and happy. So this is to assuage my sadness. Here's the brief: A clever little look into the future of Arnold and Helga; fast forward seven years into the future, to high school, to the continuing torment of the girl with the pink bow. Arnold’s now her best friend, which has, obviously, added to the prolific inner torment of the poor girl. She’s sixteen now, and determined to keep her chin up even though she’s lost nearly all hope that Arnold will ever notice her; perhaps she’s more delusional than ever, but Helga G. Pataki simply cannot give up. The prologue and chapter one is up for now. More to come when there's time!

ONE-SHOTS AND SUCH:

Enough...A snapshot of minds. I recently started watching Castle, saw this moment during 4.07 ("Cops and Robbers"), and couldn't pass it up.

Shiny's in the Smile...A little Firefly fanfic to soothe a new heartbroken fan, who has discovered the series and found that there's not nearly enough of it to satisfy her. A little Mal/Kaylee friendship, because it's one of my favorite things about the series. Gorram it, but they're cute.

The Center of Her Focus...Set during DH, when Ron leaves Hermione and Harry to fend for themselves in the hunt for Horcruxes. A drabble really, of about 600 words, and Ron's thoughts to himself as he longs to return to them. Ron/Hermione.

We Should, Probably...So, they kiss in the Room of Requirement; how long does it take to talk about what happened? A late-night, accidental rendezvous allows them to trip around their feelings for each other, spilled hot chocolate, and get a little angry. One-shot. Ron/Hermione.

Consumed...Severus Snape, the double agent; his thoughts in his last living moments. Set during DH, obviously.
