Hello all. I'm BlackCapricornDay. I'm a Canadian, or un Canadien en francais, a musician, and a master's student. Despite this, I actually enjoy writing, and have been inspired lately by graphic novels, which, unlike most of the books I read all day, have pictures to look at. This makes me happy. I'm a big fan of writers of psychological and philosophical takes on superheroes, including Alan Moore, Grant Morrison, Neil Gaiman, etc., and am drawn to the genre in general because I'm fascinated by myths and legends and I find that superhero stories often have a lot in common with these. Beyond this, I play bass and am deeply influenced by jazz, rock, avant-garde, and The Funk - the connoisseurs of which will note that my pen name comes from Jamiroquai. I love to write but haven't found the time to write for fun lately until now, and I hope you enjoy reading my work even a fraction as much as I enjoy writing it. I'm very excited to be a part of such an egalitarian, non-mercenary, creativity-driven writing community as this, and have only begun to explore the wonderful works contained on these pages.
