Hi ya!

I'm nuts! Let's just get that out of the way. I am 22 on March 17th, with the personality of a ten year old. Also I have no common sense, which shouldn't even really be called common sense seeing as it's so rare XD. I will warn everyone, my updates and reviews will be sketchy at best, due to the fact that one: I'm in college with my fingers in everything from theater/voiceacting/singing to teaching Japanese and violin, and two: reality's reely a problem. It wants every bit of your attention, doesn't it? How selfish...

I am a fairly fluent Japanophile; I love anything Japanese. I did a six-week homestay attending Kita High School in Matsue, Shimane prefecture, a six week stay everywhere imaginable and back to visit friends in Matsue the next summer, then finally a three month long stay teaching at an English camp in Nagasaki, meeting three new sets of host parents. (I cried so hard when I got my first letter saying I was finally going to Japan that my mom thought my best friend had died on a car wreck or something) XD

I have no life, or too many, depending on how you look at it. Which, of course, is why I'm on a site like this in the first place. My non-Japan interests include Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, (which made me become a pyrate re-enactress known as Emma the Fiddler; THANK YOU JOHNNY DEPP! I actually went out and made money because of my obsession; YAY costumes!)

I luv bishie torture, (the shameless torture of beautiful men/boys) so that's what I write, but it's mixed in with other good stuff too. _X

My favorite and obsession Jpop/Jrock people are Gackt, Hyde/L'arc~en~Ciel, Miyavi, Ayu, Hirai Ken, Malice Mizer, X-Japan, Yoshiki, hide, Psycho le Cemu, Klaha, BoA, SMAP, Janne Da Arc, Crystal Kay, Bump of Chicken (don't ask), Candy Spooky Theater, and a bunch more. Those of you who are wondering how to interesting-ly study Japanese, go get a bunch of Jpop lyrics, a dictionary and a buncha subtitled anime and voila!

Other interests include Star Wars and Elf Quest-- and other crap. Oh, and Kurosawa films.

My current project is getting a bachelor's degree so I can teach in Japan and become a better performer, while also writing two musicals with my dad, and a book, and my Japan memoirs. The truth comes out: my real ambition? To become a Japanese pop singer/seiyuu. WAHA!

Note to All:

I apologize for the total lack of updates, but I guess that's what happens when you (in the course of 5 months) get married, move, and start school again and start waitressing. Mainly though? My laptop died. I'm trying hard to get a new one and take the half-chapter I had of 'Strength and Weakness' off the busted hard drive, but this may take a little time.

My family basically disowned me because I married Jon and I lost a lot of people I thought were friends, but I guess that's what happens when you become an adult. Things are on the mend with my family, but it has been really rough, so now we're all just trying toward a little peace.

The place we stayed before had 6 roommates, lots of anime and tons of exotic animals that were abused, (including a angry, four foot long black snake that, after being mauled by a wolf in a cage in our garage ten feet from our door, we ended up beheading with a katana to put it out of its misery.) XI ~shudder~

I am now a happy wife, taking care of a smart, loving, dorky, one-lining, tri-lingual (German/Spanish/English soon-to-be Japanese), artist-musician(trumpet/clarinet/french horn)-martial artist-mechanic, plus his cat and five 4 week old kittens in our own house with one nice roommate, working together so that we can move to Japan to teach English 3 years from now.

...In a word, not much has been going on. XD

Anyway, all my lapse in updating has made me do is miss ff.net, so no worries-- I'm still writing! I'll be finishing things JUST AS I PROMISED. Just... be patient? (ducks)

Hello guys!

Well, I am back at it with a macbook of my own, (totally plastered with Japanese/anime stickers XD) and half a chapter written of Strength and Weakness. For those of you who thought I was dead and my account deactivated, you have been deceived. I have been changing my name a bit, and finally settled on Emiri the GREAT, because I was the first Emiri-chan on this site, but no, all my stories are to be continued.

Just really, really slowly. XD
