My feelings on..

OCs- I like writing OCs, just because they add something new to the book/show/movie, but... some plots are WAY overdone, and unless background information is there... it's just stupid. But it IS halarious to make fun of them. Some OCs are ridiculously Mary-Sue/Gary-Sue. Please tell me if mine ever gets Mary-Sueish... please. XD

Slash- I'm sorry, I just don't want to read it. I'm more of a cannon pairing kinda girl.

OOC vs IC- I like to keep my characters In-Character (please tell me if I go waaaay OOC), but I will not flame someone for making the characters out of character. That's mean. They can write OOC fics if they want, its not like I HAVE to read them.

Being a teenager is hard.

Suddenly everyone’s got the worst life. You fight with your Mum and Dad. Siblings are too annoying to hang around. Your friends stab you in the back. Your parents don’t understand you. The world hates you.

Girls have to have flat stomachs, big chests, perfect hair and smother themselves in make-up to be beautiful. Boys must have a six-pack & muscles. Everyone’s living to meet the standards that the social order has set. Everyone else’s opinions of you matter so much that your own is masked behind those of others. Nothing is fair.

Relationships don’t last. People get hurt. Everyone lies.
People talk about that fake smile, that carefully-practised laugh that they’re always carrying with them. Those three little words are tossed around so much that it’s hard to tell when someone really means it. “I love you” becomes insignificant.

MSN display names, Bebo and Myspace pages are littered with little phrases, all screaming that life isn’t good enough. A boyfriend is the most important thing in the world. All of a sudden, you’re too cool for school.

Fads come and go. Remember when ‘I am random’ was splattered over everywhere? What happened to that all-too familiar catch phrase? Everyone talks about being unique, about having their own style, about living their own life, and yet sometimes they all look the same. Sometimes they all blend together until they’re a giant mess of something they like to call ‘individuality’.

Sure, it’s not the same for everyone. You could read this and tell me how you’re different. That could be true, who am I to judge? The thing is, stereotypes are unfair, but we’re all living one.

How come we stopped loving the little things? Seeing someone smile, or making your friends laugh when they're sad. Conversation topics are 'who wore what at that party' or 'who hooked up with who'. Why don't we stop and 'smell the roses' for a little while. Appreciate things that are sorely unappreciated. Live a little.

Being a teenager is hard, but maybe along the way we’ll discover that we’ve been wrong all along. Beauty doesn’t matter- it’s the kindness lying within that truly makes you beautiful. Nothing is ever as bad as it seems- just stay true to who you are, who you want to be- and not the perfect image of yourself you think you’ve got to play the part of. Life may not go the way we plan, but somehow we’ve got to make it work.

1. Do you think Iggy is hot?

Hells to the YEAH.

2. Did you cry when Ari died?

Yes, at the funeral. I liked Ari, and I felt so sorry for him; he had such a terrible life, and he tried to make it all work at the end. For a while, he was semi-sort-of-happy I guess, and that's what matters. He was with Max, he was accepted, so I think that made it a little better.

3. Do you think Fang is hot?

YESH.

4. How do you pronounce Ari's name?

Arr-ee.

5. Do you laugh every time you read the name Mr. Chu?

Hehehe, kinda.

6. -SPOILER ALERT- In MAX, did you laugh hysterically when Total started talking about marriage?

Not totally hysterically, but I was like '...hahahahah- puppy love.' and then I laughed some more cos what I said was so lame.

7. -SPOILER ALERT- Did you squeal at all the faxness in MAX?

YES! Fave line evahz; "This is my brain: O. This is my brain after making out with Fang: o. It's quite sad." (Can't remember EXACTLY, think that's it. Don't have the book handy.)

8. Did you angrily throw your book across the room when the flock split up?

Nope, I was like 'awwr' but I knew they'd get back together.

9. Who is your favorite character?

Iggy or the Fangster.

10. Do you like Jeb?

I think Jeb made a lot of stupid mistakes, and I think he's way too controlling, and in your face and whatever. I mean- he invades Max's mind. He's just a bit weird, especially 'cos Angel can't read his mind and all...

11. -SPOILER ALERT- Were you making a genuine "WTF" face when Max and Fang grew gills?

Can't say I was. I knew Max would get them, and Fang has Max's blood so I guess it kinda makes sense for him to get them too. That's why the rest of the flock doesn't have them, I guess. Except for Angel, 'cos she's like, chocka full 'o powers.

12. Did you think MAX was better than TFW?

Yeppers. Liked both books, but more plot in MAX. Way more plot.

13. -SPOILER ALERT- Did you get slightly fed up with Nudge and Angel's slight attitudes in MAX?

Not with Nudge, 'cos I totally get where she's coming from, but Angel... oh my god. It's like; 'What happened to nice, sweet, innocent Angel? Not this crazy, demonic little kid!' She realy did a 360 in her personality.

14. Which book is your all time favorite?

School's out Forever.

15. If the flock had a theme song, what would it be?

Me Against the World- Simple Plan.

16. Have you ever imagined the flock as a band playing whatever song comes up when listening to your iPod?

No... but I think certain songs might be good for them. :D

It's probably James Patterson... haha. No, kidding. Um... I have no idea.

18. Do you think one or more members of the flock should learn to play an instrument?

Definitely not. Unless it's something easy, like the Triangle or something.

Fax, without a doubt.

I am the girl that doesn't go to school dances, or games, and when I do go, I sit in a corner and read a book. I am the girl that people look through when I say something. I am the girl that spends most of her free time reading, writing, or doing other activities that most teenagers wouldn't call normal. I am the girl that people call weird and a freak either behind my back or to my face. I am the girl that doesn't spend all her time on MySpace, or talking to a girlfriend on a cell phone or regular phone. I am the girl that hasn't been asked out in a year. I am the girl that has stopped to smell the flowers and jump and splash in the rain. BUT I am also the girl who knows and is proud to be who she is, doesn’t care if people call her weird (it's a compliment), who loves reading and writing and doing the things that no one seems to have the time to do any more, who loves and is obsessed with Twilight, who can express herself better with words than actions, who doesn't need a guy to complete her, and knows the importance of the little things.
