I do not consider unflattering, honest reviews to be flames.

What I Will and Will Not Write

What I will write: stories that get inside the characters' heads, drama, fantasy, or gothic horror. I prefer not to write romance, because I lack the inspiration to write stories about couples and find it more rewarding and fun to write friendship fics, but I won't rule out writing romance if I find a couple interesting and fun. Stories containing romance will be clearly marked as such. If a story is not labeled as containing pairings, then it contains no romance.

What I will not write: action adventure, over the top humor fics (i.e. Cloud has had too much caffeine and is driving everyone crazy), original character romances (i.e. Tseng x Sephiroth's long lost daughter), torture fics, melodrama (i.e. Cloud is dying of cancer, will he find true love before it is too late), anything pornographic or stories that contain inappropriate or abusive relationships (man beats his wife, non/con, bestiality and incest to name a few). Stories that involve romance between underage characters dating each other at a really young age, dating older characters, or anything that is shota/lolitaish are also out - no exceptions. I feel that writing stuff like Misty x Ash dating when they are 10/11 romanticizes underage relationships and I consider stuff like twenty-five-year-old Angeal decides to go after fifteen-year-old Cloud to be wrong. Stuff like Interview with the Vampire's Louis x Claudia or Buffy when she is still in high school dating Spike or Angel also freaks me out, because it gets dangerously close, toying with the underage relationship thing. I don't care if one is a vampire or a supernatural being - such pairings can come across as provocative and I'm not going to write about them.

Lastly, I'm not going to write yaoi/yuri/slash. I am not intolerant - I just don't want to write stories about those pairings.

Somethings you should know about my writing

1. My stories frequently delve into the characters' thoughts. This can make them come across as slow paced and dense, which is a valid constructive criticism. I'm working on speeding up the pacing of my stories, without rushing the plot or sacrificing the characters.

2. I believe that characters are not perfect and try to explore their emotions and their problems. While I believe that someone like Sephiroth is strong, powerful and superman-like in his abilities, I also believe that he is a vulnerable human and flawed person with emotions just like ours.

3. While none of my stories contain graphic sex or blood and gore, they are not easy for everyone to read. My writing has contained savage emotional, verbal and psychological violence in the past, and if it advances the plot, I have no problems writing about controversial issues like drug use or cruelty.

Next update will be mid-December. I am writing the two chapters back to back and the holiday stuff is killing me.
