Things I currently love:

Batman #317

Riddler robs a truck full of chickens. It’s without a doubt the best thing ever. (It does actually lead up to a pretty nefarious objective, but still)

Batman #362

Riddler is working at a vineyard as therapy. Whether that is part of his rehabilitation or if he decided to do it on his own accord, I don’t know. And what exactly is his job? He twists the bottles daily, so as not to let the wine pool and sully its flavor. The process is called...wait for it...riddling. As if that isn’t enough, Riddler has two ass-shots. Revel in that image for a while.

But in his appearances during that period he’s still very much insane and dangerous, more so than in his more recent exploits. In both of the above stories, he’s packing a machine gun and simply comes off much as much more dangerous than recently.

There’s also a pretty fun story in #400. Remember Bane’s first appearance, the Knightfall thing where he lets all the villains loose because he’s such a genius and master strategist? Yeah, Ra’s al Ghul’s already done it. (Not the exact same but close enough.)
