Dear Readers,

I haven't updated this in years... How childish sounding was I when I first created this?

Anyway... Welcome, my name is Bane, Arty or Sarah, I am 18. I have been trying to attempt to write fiction for years. I have definately read fiction for years. Sadly my own lack of ability and time keeping means that I often start stories I can't handle or finish.

Now most of my stories are awful (which will be deleted), but some of my stories are alright and some people agree with that statement enough to not just review but also to put it on Story Alert lists. Those I will not delete and will possibly update in the future when/ if my muse takes a fancy.

I have ideas for new stories but looking how many WIP I have which haven't been updated in years makes me feel guilty enough to leave them sitting on my hard drive. I have some story starts for Harry Potter, Avatar: The Last Air Bender and others. I will try to write more down and later post them but right now exams have claimed my life...

Guide to Reviews

As I began posting my own stories I never realised how

important reviews were to a writer. I have both recieved

reviews and gave them and over time learnt something

about the process. Please spread it and hope

reviews become much better.

1) If they can be bothered to write it, be bothered to

review.

I am not saying every single story you have read but at

least to the ones you liked.

2) If they can be bothered to review, be bothered to

reply.

Like I said above, not every single 'review' you get

since some isn't a review (explained below)

3) One or two word reviews isn't a review.

For all I know you could have had a large sneeze and

hit your head off your keyboard.

4) PLZ Update isn't a review either.

I hate this as a) it isn't a review. It is a command and

tells me nothing... Did you like it and want to read more?

Or hate it and want to laugh at me some more? B)

It is insenstive. I am updating now because

I have the time but for next 3 weeks I have

exams. Writers have lives too.

5) Praise.

I love it when someone tells me the love my story...

but I don't want reviews just filled with gushing

praise. 'OMG LOVE LOVE LOVE' isn't a review.

Yes I know you like my story but copying

and pasting the same word or sentence

isn't a review.

6) Critism.

I hate trolls and flamers etc and you know the rules

about both of them 'Do not feed' abit like

Mogwai. But I love critism... Why? It means I

improve as an author. Problem is people are

afraid to do so as they can get labeled as a

troll or flamer.

Troll: Is something posted deliberatly to

offend the reader. Eg. 'GAY SEX! You

pervert! Go to Hell!' On say a story which

stated clearly it was M\M, Slash, Yaoi.

Flamer: Some one who posts just nasty\offensive

comments rudely. E.g. 'Your story sucks!'

Critism: Someone who comments on your

story's faults in a polite manner and

explains why. Eg. 'Your chararcterisation

is slightly off. I don't think that

character "X" would say that as he\she is

a pacifist.'
