I JUST GOT MY FIRST NEGATIVE REVIEW AND I CRIED! Shit, man... haven't you ever heard of AU? And since when is OOC a BAD thing? Some people are just inconsiderate bitches. Based on the fact that I am an ORIGINAL author first and foremost, I'm not great at keeping the characters in character. Plus, when you put a couple together like Seddie, they HAVE to be OOC. WHY I DO NOT DO CARLY/FREDDIE

Okay, so I know there has been a Great Ship War between Seddie and The-Ship-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named, and it’s possibly bigger than the war over R/Hr and H/Hr. And I know that there a lot of Seddie shippers who are anti the other way, but some of them don’t seem to know why. But I do.

It’s childish. Freddie liked Carly when he was a preteen, and I doubt he had deep feelings for her. At such a young age, I think it’s very rare for a boy to feel real love for a girl. I’m not saying it’s impossible, but it doesn’t seem likely that’s how Freddie felt about Carly.

The crush was too obvious. Freddie has always been up front about liking Carly, whereas Chase from Zoey 101 tried to hide his feelings for Zoey, when they were apparent. That also goes back to point one. If he really loved her, would he have been so aggressive with it? Probably not.

Carly has never showed interest in Freddie. And I know you’ll throw in a few, “But that could mean that she’s afraid to show her true feelings!” Bull. I don’t think that’s why Sam picks on Freddie. I think Sam picks on Freddie because he’s safe to pick on because they’re friends, and he’s also easy to mock. So what if they might kiss in an upcoming episode? Sam and Freddie haven’t gotten together yet.

The bashing goes too far. I have listened to shippers of the other side, and some of them (NOT all, most are nice people with a different opinion) bash Sam. Sure, she’s badass and everything, but she does have redeemable qualities. For example, she’s a great friend to Carly, and when she does something really wrong, she knows it and feels bad about it. Also, a friend of mine that I know personally who ships the opposite from me didn’t bash Sam. She bashed Jennette. Jennette is a fantastic young actress, and she’s not Sam. Therefore, my friend shouldn’t have bashed her.

How predictable would that be? I don’t think I have anything else to add to that because it easily speaks for itself.

The chemistry between Sam and Freddie has more romantic potential than the chemistry between Carly and Freddie. To me, they are more friends than anything else. Don’t get me wrong, I love Miranda- I think she’s great. But her character and Nathan’s character would just be boring as a couple in my eyes.

Everyone- Jennette, Nathan, Dan (I don’t know about Miranda)- seems to be on Team Seddie.

As fabulous as she is, Carly is most often a one-dimensional character. Sam and Freddie, on the other hand, are round, dynamic characters who have changed from hating each other to liking each other as friends. Admit it- since iReunite with Missy, things have been different for their friendship. Carly seems to care a lot more for Freddie as her brother or best friend. She’s just always given that vibe.

iKiss. Okay, I know you're going to say "it was just to get it over with" but look more closely. Freddie didn't even ASK Carly to kiss him. First season Freddie would have done that, but he wasn't thinking that.

Variety lacks. Carly and Freddie are both goody-two-shoes. Sam isn't. Together, they help each other out. Freddie's good points for Sam's.

Carly kissing Freddie, to me, would be like Carly kissing Spencer.

I think that’s all I have to say. No, this was not a “why you should ship Seddie” list- I’m just voicing on why I don’t do Carly/Freddie. Fans of that ship- please don’t be offended. I’ve never really talked to any of you because I’m not a big talker, but I’m positive you’re all very nice, wonderful people who just ship a little differently. Not the end of the world- not even close. J
