After reading fanfiction for ages, I finally bit the bullet and got my own profile. I'm not new to writing, but I've never tried my hand at fan fiction before. I have just posted my first ever story, entitled "Out of the Night". It will be an Independent!Harry...eventually Dark!Harry story set right after the end of OoTP. My goal is for it to be a lot more believable than some of that genre tend to be. Not that there's anything wrong with Super!Harry or Psychopath!Dark!Harry...but they aren't my cup of tea.

I'll be adding to my favorites list as I run across old fics I have enjoyed. All of my favorites will be completed stories, not because there aren't great WIP's out there, but because abandoned stories hurt my heart.

Oh, Right, I forgot! ABOUT ME: twentyish female college student, likes to read, write, cook, and take long walks in the woods. Currently, I am covered in mosquito bites and suffering from the agony that is summer classes.

Out of the Night: The title refers to the poem Invictus...check it out...very cool, and I think it's a great poem for Harry's character. This is my first ever fanfic, and I think it's pretty good considering I don't even have a Beta...not that I'm 100 sure what a Beta does... Anyway, the first 15 chapters are written and up, and I've got plans for the next couple of them. Drop me a message or a review if you'd like to know more! I respond to all reviews in a fairly timely manner. And I love being PM'ed with questions. ;)

Chapter 21 of Out of the Night is posted. I'm sorry for the long delay. Real life always comes first. I don't expect it to take me quite that long to post the next chapter. I appreciate you guys hanging in there with me.

This story will not be abandoned without notice (and I don't plan to quit writing it at all!) But don't freak if it takes a little longer to get the chapters out...my free time is being sapped by my scholastic obligations.
