I am InSilenceSheDwells. On many other sites I frequently visit I am known as Silenia - which is, by the way, NOT my real life name. The username Silenia was already taken at FFN, though, so I chose this one instead. You can call me Silence, Silenia or Sil if you prefer. I don't mind. Not even if you call me Silly Sil or Silly Silenia - as long as you don't mean it in a bad way. xD
I live in the Netherlands - GMT +01.00 if anyone cares - and I was born here as well. Lived here my whole life so far, and probably will keep doing so.

My own Fanfics

As of now I have finaly uploaded the first chapter of my first non-translation fanfic here. Updating might take a while, as I'm pretty busy in real life atm. I have put up the first chapter of my Dutch translation of Batsutousai's Abandon. With her permission, ofcourse. I believe she linked to it from her own profile as well.
I mainly write in the Harry Potter Fandom - and my own original works - although I have occasionally written some other things as well.

I write both in Dutch - which is my native tongue - and English.
I do not really have a preference for writing. Either of them are fine to me.
It had, however, been quite a while since I posted anything online in either of these languages. For the past couple of years I have only mailed some stuff to friends I have online or in real life. With exception of Harry Potter's Revolution, ofcourse, and the Abandon translation I am currently working at, ofcourse. A lot of thanks to my beta for that trnaslation, SileaLove.

Translations

Other than reading and writing stories, I also translate sometimes, both Dutch to English and English to Dutch. I guess you noticed so, seeing as how I kept going on about Abandon above. xD Anyway, I slightly prefer English->Dutch, but both shouldn't be much of a problem. Eventually I could do German to Dutch or German to English as well. Nothing to German, though. I'd make too many mistakes. My passive knowledge of German (understanding, listening to it, reading it) is quite well, but my active knowledge isn't too great.
If you want me to translate anything, just drop me a message with the request and info on the story, including the rating and (eventual) warnings. And whether it is supposed to be published on FFN or a different site. I am not squeamish and it's quite difficult to scare me away from a story, but I prefer to know what's in a story before I translate it.
If I somehow do feel uncomfortable with it, I won't translate it. I prefer translating HP fanfiction or Original Fiction, though if it is other fanfiction and I happen to know the book/movie/manga/anime, I am willing to try. If I am really busy or unavailable for a while, I will either not take the request or warn you it'll take quite a while.

I read, write and translate both Slash/Femslash, Het and Gen, as well as both monogamous and polygamous. As I said before, there are few things that scare me away. xD Most of my stories end up M or at least T. (Or MA, but I don't publish that at FFN. Actually, I rarely publish that - or show it to anyone except a rare few - at all.)

What I am currently working on

I am working on translating the English HarryPotter fanfic Abandon, which is written by Batsutousai, to Dutch. I have recently published the first chapter, betaed by SileaLove, and the second as well.

I am also working at the first chapter of my English Harry Potter fanfic Harry Potter and the Really Weird Dreams.

Summary: After the final battle with Voldemort, Harry and Ginny married. Happily married for exactly a year, Harry starts to get really strange dreams. Obsessed by these dreams, he slowly loses his grip on reality. Are they his way of dealing with the past, or are these… dreams… trying to tell him something?

Language: English.

Rating: Probably M, but perhaps it will end up as a T. I doubt it, however.

Genres: Humor/Parody

Warnings: Hm. A shitload of warnings, I'm afraid. Don't feel like typing them all out already, but to get a basic idea: It's a parody on all kind of cliches in the HP fandom. Will most likely contain both Slash and Het. Will most likely be rated M for mild sexual situations, violence and language. Non-HBP/DH-compliant, although certain elements of it may pop up.

Status: Coming Soon/WIP. Working on the outline past chapter 11 - writing out chapter 1. Will start posting when I have at least Chapter 1 and 2 done.

At the same time, just as I was working on Harry Potter and the Really Weird Dreams, I got inspiration for another story.

Harry Potter's Revolution.

Summary: Voldemort has been defeated by Harry after a gruesome war. Harry realizes that while the acute problem has been solved, the reasons that this could happen are still there. Change is needed. A new prophecy is made. A new time will start. It seems that Voldemort's destruction was only part of Harry's destiny. HPHG

Language: English

Rating: M (Currently only warrants a T, I suppose, but as that'll change in a couple of chapters, I can just as easily start with M.)

Genres: Adventure/Romance

Warnings: Het. HP/HG pairing. Minor Character Deaths. Non HBP/DH-compliant. Probably more later.

Status: WIP. First chapter written and uploaded. Outline only done for 2nd and 3rd chapter right now. Will start writing on the second chapter soon.

Further I am at this moment working on the outlining of some other stories - right now, all in the HP fandom, although one might end up as a crossover - of which I am not yet certain of the pairings. Once I have a better idea of what I am planning to write (and when I am further with the Abandon translations than I am now, for I am currently working at the translation of chapter 5 - I really should send Chapter 3 and 4 to my beta, but my mail is giving me problems) I will give a short summary on both.

Like I said above, if anyone wants me to translate something from either English or German to Dutch, or Dutch or German to English, drop me message.
