Author has written 53 stories for Gundam Wing/AC, Rurouni Kenshin, Final Fantasy VII, Kingdom Hearts, Transformers/Beast Wars, Transformers, Fullmetal Alchemist, Devil May Cry, and Godzilla: The Series. 6/22/12 Daily Rant: Six months! I'm not dead yet! Well, sorta. Been hit with a bad case of writer's block that's interfering with any sort of fan writing. I do have ideas floating in my head, but they're not cooperating at the moment. Scenes, but nothing cohesive enough to form a proper story. They're more like train of thoughts in the vein of constantly shifting scenes, which aren't too bad by themselves, but the flipside is that I have no proper transition from beginning to middle to end. Secondary to that is that my job leaves me rather exhausted when I come home and that I've been turned into a night owl on clocking in an average 5-6 hours of sleep. Bad, I know, but some things can't be helped. "Shikata ga nai", as the Japanese phrase goes. Fan-wise, gotten a bit back into Rurouni Kenshin. Slowly working my way through the Kanzenban - or Complete Version; るろうに剣心―明治剣客浪漫譚 完全版 - of the manga, as well Shueisha's - るろうに剣心 明治剣客浪漫譚 (集英社文庫―コミック版) - version with all new covers. The Complete Version contains concept artwork from Watsuki-sensei on how some of the characters might have looked if he had done RK differently. Shueisha's version has their covers that can combine into one large banner, or a wraparound in the Western comic industry. That's not counting the Blu-Ray re-releases of Tsuiokuhen (Chasing Memories, AKA "Samurai X"), the much disliked Seisouhen ("Reflections"), and Ishinshishi no Requiem (the movie). Thoughts on the Shin Kyoto Hen - New Kyoto Arc for you English speakers - is that of mild disappointment in that, like almost every other RuroKen fan out there, it's STILL not the much-wanted Jinchuu Arc. That's the ONLY THING LEFT from the manga. That's all we ask for. (Granted, part 2 of Shin Kyoto isn't out till later, but the principal still applies.) However, I will admit to shamelessly squealing like a complete fangirl on Kaoru reuniting with Kenshin after their exchange. OTP! I am looking forward to the live-action film featuring Takeru Saotu (Western naming form), who played Ryoutarou Nogami in Kamen Rider Den-O. He pulls off the Rurouni pretty good - "Oro?", that is all - and from the first trailer shown, he's able to pull off close-to-Battousai speech timbre/tone as well. Sadly, I'll have to wait till December or January 2013 to pick up the DVD/BD.
