Author has written 5 stories for Boomtown, Rugrats, JAG, and Desperate Housewives.

About Me...

I'm a student and freelance writer. I mostly write articles and other assigned projects, and don't get to do a lot of creative writing as such, but I do try to hone my fiction writing skills in my spare time. However, my "baby" and arguably my main claim to fame is the Blame It On The Love Bon Jovi blog.

One of my current projects is Boomtown Central. Implemented in Wordpress, it's a work-in-progress resource for the brilliant and prematurely cancelled TV series Boomtown. The finished site should have episode recaps, cast and character biographies, and news on what the one-time "Boomtownies" are up to now.

A few of my favourite characters...
David McNorris & Andrea Little from Boomtown
Obi-Wan Kenobi & Qui-Gon Jinn from Star Wars (although my favourite film is The Empire Strikes Back)
Dr Perry Cox from Scrubs
Wyatt Cain from Tin Man
Will Schuester from Glee

Random fandom ramblings (so you know where I stand)...

Boomtown - My favourite show of all time, hands down. I remember watching that speech about the LA River in the pilot episode at the age of 15 and sensing something special was about to unfold in the next hour. I just wish we could get some movies, kind of like how Serenity was a continuation of Firefly.

JAG - I was once so passionate about this show that people at school knew me as "the JAG freak". Then TPTB started pandering to shippers at the expense of the show's integrity. So what used to be an exciting military action legal drama morphed into a weak soap opera complete with vomit-inducing fantasy sequences and embarrassing subplots... Out came the shark, and off went the TV.

NCIS - It's now around the point in the life of the series where its big brother JAG got really unwatchable, but so far NCIS hasn't suffered the same fate. The twists have become a bit predictable but the characters are still driving the show well.

NCIS: Los Angeles - Sam and Callen have such a homoerotic chemistry. Slash sometimes descends into pure tackiness but I really think there could be something beautiful here. I don't know if it would be against the rules or not, but surely there is room for more gay/bi characters on mainstream TV. Come on Shane Brennan, stand up to homophobia and make me a proud Aussie. ;)

More "soapboxing" to come...
