A bit about me: I'm a first-year medical student, formerly a triple-major science nerd. I did a thesis in chemistry - go ahead, ask me about osmium. You know you want to. I like to spend my free time reading (fic and "real stuff"), playing DDR, cooking, and more recently, writing songs/singing for my stepdad (he's an aspiring musician). I now live 300 miles away from my family, which means I can't spend as much time playing video games and watching Trek and B5 with my sibs and fiance (which I had listed as an interest in my old profile).

If I've reviewed your fic, take it as a compliment - I'm picky.

My favorite fic genres are humor and drama. As you can see I've been
cursed with liking Harry Potter fic, in which there are so many stories
nobody reads mine. I used to love Space Cases fic... but after 10 freakin' years, my beloved show is kind of losing steam.

My HP fanfics all generally center on Severus Snape, and some have been canon-balled by Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince.

The (still) HBP-compliant ones are:

Underwater:
This is short enough that I can say "read it" instead of writing in a
giveaway summary. It's set in 1972, and sheds some light on Severus. HBP has now given our main character a name (hint hint).

Oblivion: It's set in October of 1981. Ever wonder why Severus never found out that Peter Pettigrew was a Death Eater? So have I. This is MOSTLY HBP compliant, as long as you don't nitpick too much.

The Ruined Man (The F-cked-Up Man): Severus's thoughts after the events of HBP. Written in the same semi-poetry format as 'Underwater.'

The following two are no longer HBP compliant, but I still like them.

The Furnace: Set in 1980. My take on why Severus turned on Voldemort and joined the good guys. Now somewhat AU.

Up from the Dust:
Now 7th year AU. Does not include HBP info. Set in 1998 - Harry and Severus have hated each other as long as
they've known each other. Then, a series of disturbing events forces
them to see each other in a new light. My first novel-length (well,
it's a novella, technically).

If you like my fics, review 'em! It makes me happy, and it also means I'll browse your fics myself. When I'm not studying anatomy videos.

Lastly, my C2 archive: I haven't been reading enough fanfic lately to work it - but I'll gladly post anything you send me that follows my (simple rules. The topic? Completed (and One-Shot) Snapefics. My criteria are few: 1) Fic must be finished, The End, and not have a huge cliffhanger ending unless the sequel is also finished. 2) Fic must be gramatically correct. That doesn't mean it has to be perfect, but please no "Sevi's so gr8! Squee!" 3) If your screen name is the main character's name, or the title or summary contains Mary Sue triggers... I need not say more. Unless you are an MS parody, in which case, I welcome thee. I feel fortunate that my own Mary Sues (admit it, you all had one at some point) met their demise before I learned to type properly. (My favorite was Meridian, the half-alien, super-strong telepath whose eyes changed color with her emotions - ACK, shoot me!)
