I am a huge fan of Ashes to Ashes... as you can probably tell. I ship GAlex hugely.. this is seen in my fanfiction.

If you like mystery and believe in destiny and love - even if the laws of physics are against you! - then my stories are what you are looking for. Started writing Awake in June and now writing the sequel; I Was Made For Lovin' You. The sequel is what was my original idea, it just needed a lot of back ground information to it, and from there it just took off! Just like a snowball. I never thought I would ever enjoy writing, I had always hated it but that all changed, in January 2009.

Time = 1982/3 and in 2008/09. Alex dreams of Gene, she can hear him talking to her. Evan acts strangely; phone calls and 'business meetings'. Alex gets a marmalade cat and called Genie... Status = finished

Sequel to Awake

Alex has been awake two and a half years, she got a cat; Genie, returned to work as a DI at Scotland Yard. Everything seemed to be 'normal' again. But Evan receives phone calls from someone unknown, he told Alex that Gene Hunt was real, but then had a phone call saying 'it's too soon'. Alex's mind is thrown into overdrive - too soon for what exactly? Alex has tried to forget her time in 1982, forget Gene, but will the knock at the door change everything?

Not my usual style, but I wanted to write it anyway. I think that this song which is sung at the end of Life on Mars is quite important. It is from Alex's POV as she thinks about her Gene Genie =) Status - ONE SHOT -

This my way of letting go of Ashes ( well, try to anyway) Alex has been in The Railway Arms for 25 years; during this time, Gene hasn't forgotten about her, he helps dead and comatose coppers to Nelson or back home to wake up. The time has come for another DI to arrive, but has Gene got more than he intended to...
