Formerly used the pen-name "Fallschirmjager". Now I've changed it to be in line with my regular internet handle. For those who recognise the name, it's the name of the runesword from Michael Moorcock's "Elric" series - I first encountered it in StormbringerMUD and Nethack and liked the name. I don't write much, I'm going to major in maths and writing's just something that I do after finding some media that interests me. I always become hopelessly obsessed with the most microscopic details in a fandom - the character of Rachael in Blade Runner/Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, the oblique mention of the I-950 infiltrator in Sarah's dreams in Terminator, my preoccupation with the fascinatingly neurotic character of Jeanette/Therese Voerman in Vampire: The Masquerade. This is my way of dealing with it.

PM me if you want me to do a beta-reading for you, or to post an overly-long review of your story. I don't bite ... much. And I'd enjoy it if everyone was more critical of my work. My work is nowhere near perfect; heck, if it was it wouldn't belong on this website and I'd be writing the canon for the franchise instead. So please, be critical! I'll always respond to reviews, and I'd prefer it if there was something more substantial than "good story thx man" or "update plz".

I'm currently working on a few stories and have a few ideas:

"Memories of a Future War" - a character study of Derek Reese in Terminator. Part 1/3 is up.

"Lines of Battle" - A deconstruction of Terminator 'Chronicles fanfiction cliches, with a wider look at the ramifications of time travel and what it means for the future war - as well as the Butterfly Effect of what John did at the end of "Born to Run". It'll include wider Terminator concepts such as the I-950 infiltrator, the T-900 series and an exploration of just how screwed the space-time continuum is now.

"Responsibility" - A character study of Eli from Let the Right One In. I've only hammered out the concept from this one.

"Big Iron" - Firefly - the Feds come for Jayne Cobb. Named after the folksong (which I've always listened to as the Johnny Cash version). I've got a vague story outline from this, but I'm likely to finish my current Terminator story first.

"Yet Another Stupid Death" - Nethack style. The aftermath of the destruction that the adventurers leave behind them as the monsters / shopkeepers / demons clean up their homes.

"Stupid Light One" - A character study of the (very) minor character, Galya the girl-werewolf, from Sergei Lukyanenko's Twilight Watch. In her dying moments, Galya reflects on her life.

"A Bad Habit" - Shepherd Book-cenctric Firefly story. Winning is a hard habit to break. Character study.
